I would think a devalued Ruble would increase tourism. Certainly I ike to think of being able to buy twice as many of those St. Petersburg demi-Gods. Of course, except for the Hesinki day ferry no-visa pass, the Russian visa is not easy for an American in best of times. St Petersburg may see a lot more tourists this summer (if there's not nucleur war of course).

Julian lives in Medellin and has some nice connections there. As a tourist attraction I'd put him up with the Botero museum (and the bombed birds). The main gay Axel hotel is up the avenue a bit from Thermas and Axel's TWO hotel is 1 1/2 blocks from Thermas. Both are 4 or 41/2 star hotels. I've stayed at the TWO and it's dramatic, modern and announces it's "heterosexual-friendly" lol. Nice roof pool. Otherwise the big Axel is in the center of the gayborhood and close to trendy areas and cafes/gay bars. City, 1/2 block from Thermas struck me as beautiful and modern but i never stayed there. Next trip I'll probably stay at the main Axel for the neighborhood.

The only ugly guys in Medellin seem to all congregate at the 57a bars and the sauna there. Noches Alternades is a little of an exception. Otherwise people in Medellin are famously attractive and healthy.

I stayed there almost two weeks and it is super nice. Great location between Copacabana and Ipanema on the beach with nice restaurants nearby. The lounge has breakfast lunch and dinner free in a very nice setting with a view. 4 1/2 star.

I know the US treaty with the Schengen group stipulates only 3 months validity after departure, but even on the US State Dept website it lists Czech and Nederlands as still requiring 6 months. Spain's at US.gov but evidently Czech tries to enforce 6 months and Nederlands requires 6 months? PASSPORT VALIDITY:A passport must be valid for at least six months beyond planned date of departure from the Schengen area. (Even though the US has a treaty with the Schengen zone for a 3-month validity) So...If you have less than 6 months left on your passport it can get complicated even if an airline will ticket you.

I don't think there are land border checks, from what i'm hearing from friends using cars and buses. Not sure about trains. Airports do seem to be checking between Schengen countries though. I have a US passport expiring within six months that makes entry into some countries difficult (Czech). US passports are taking almost 3 months to renew expedited. I was planning a quick trip to BCN for Thermas. Spain, like most EU, only requires 3 months passport validity. I'm really wondering how many guys are in Thermas. Generally the post-lockdown has been a stampede, especially for young people, to get back to normal and catch up on good times. But the countries many of the guys are from still have severe covid, like Brazil and the Balkans. Thermas could be a buyers market right now or a sellers market if clients/providers aren't coming back equally. It could be slow (as evidenced by the hours cutback) or it could be packed (except i think Barcelona still has strict distancing). Since they aren't mentioning capacity controls, i assume Thermas is slow.

United has a brand new, 1st-ever, nonstop from DC to Athens and there are specials of $600 RT in peak. Also there's plenty of rewards seats for 30K or 33K miles and even some 66K miles Polaris Business seats (usually 160K). The Europe red-eye over is the one Business class indulgence I use sometmes. Better to sleep in a flat bed on the plane than lose the 1st day there sleeping.

FLL airport has been wonderful for being somewhat close in with really great low fares. (although MIA is also getting discount fares now). and it's a long drive but the Bourbon Pub in Key West always has plenty of fresh meat and private dances. my thing is going to Europe 2 or 3 times a year though and MIA service is fair to poor with higher fares. 95 to Miami is often a parking lot.

i commute to FLL a lot and have friends there who come here to DC a lot. i look at places online and notice, like many cities, the condo market has dropped. 2br/2b 1200sq ft condos for $250K around South Beach MIA or Central Beach FLL. (1br as low as $150K) Of course you have to deal with HOA's but a few are reasonable. South Florida prices, even South Beach and FLL are very low compared to DC or CAL. My friends tell me the no state income tax thingy is more than made up for with most people by the huge homeowners and car insurance and the sky-high property tax bills. Still, I'll probably get a place to save on hotels and house some of my flock, even though it otherwise is a poor investment. In spite of tv shows, there's not a lot of money for escorts in S Fla. Mostly tourists in season. Summer in FL is no fun. And it's so spread-out that travel for escorts is a pain. So many relax at home while there and travel for work. Hate to be mean but i don't care at all for Wilton Manors houses or condos. I was shocked when i first went there at how cheap and ugly those little concrete-block houses are. RIP Club Tobi . I hope it reopens in time somewhere, although that building was perfect. I met some of the best-looking muscle guys anywhere there for $18/hr just 3 years ago. The 57A seedy hustler bars will probably return after the pandemic but I never met anyone there worth seeing in 2 trips to Medellin. It's not an international city as much as Bogota but it does have the big luxury tourist area of Poblado with gay cruising in the central park. Also 1/4 of the guys on Chaterbate seem to be in Medellin in group sex shows and are eager to meet. Medellin guys are extremely attractive (as anyone in Bogota will tell you).
