  1. @floridarob The author of that post later updated it to note that he’s no longer going to travel through China. One of his concerns (which I agree with) is that the Chinese government may be understating the extent of the problem.
  2. This was really interesting! I once dated a guy who was a professional food stylist, and he told me lots of tricks of the trade to make food look appealing during photo shoots. Hint: you wouldn't want to eat what was actually photographed! But I love Downton Abbey and it's interesting how much attention they put into making so many aspects of the show as authentic as possible.
  3. Interesting information! I have my testosterone levels checked annually and my doctor says they are in a normal range, even with the dutasteride. Maybe that means I was just a raging hormonal maniac prior to taking the drug! That said, prostate cancer runs in my family so I’m happy to do anything to reduce my risk of getting it.
  4. Welcome Scottishguy! I agree, I think they just want to make sure that anyone who signs up is fully invested in making honest contributions to the forum. I’ve viewed this as an opportunity to review some of the other interesting threads on things like travel and current events, and it’s been a nice introduction to the forum and some of the regular contributors.
  5. Just a quick note: it’s generally much easier to get to Helsinki (more options for air travel). Traveling to Tallinn is very easy by ferry and the trip takes 2-3 hours if my memory serves me correctly. We were expecting a boring ferry boat but it turned out to be a multi-story cruise ship with multiple bars, a dance floor and (most importantly) tons of duty free shopping. A lot of Finns take the boat cruise just to load up on cheap alcohol and cigarettes apparently, but there’s a wide variety of stuff to purchase. Very easy day trip but we honestly wished we had booked an overnight stay in Tallinn as it was such a charming city. I didn’t get to sample the men so I appreciate some of the other reports!
  6. We only had a couple of nights so we didn’t make it out to any of the bars, unfortunately. We are planning to return in a few months and I’ll let you know what we find out.
  7. I’ve been taking a slightly different drug called Avodart (dutasteride) for about 15 years now, prescribed off label by my general practitioner. It works like finasteride except that it blocks two of the hormones that contribute to hair loss, while finasteride blocks just one. I have to say that it significantly reversed my hair loss and I haven’t noticed any sexual side effects (although ymmv). I only have the pull every other day, which helps reduce the cost.
  8. Last year we spent a long weekend in Puebla and had a really fantastic time. It's a charming old colonial city, most parts are easily accessible on foot and Uber is readily available as well when you don't feel like walking. Food is great (it's the birthplace of mole and you can try lots of different varieties if you like it) and the dollar goes far against the peso right now, so you should find it a good value. While there we did spend an enjoyable late Saturday afternoon at Banos Las Termas. It was very clean and well-maintained, and the locals were very friendly; after less than 60 seconds in the steam room I was on my knees enjoying sucking some hot Mexican guy off, and a few minutes later he had blown his load all over my face. That's a great way to say hello! Don't be shy if you don't speak much Spanish because, well, you don't need to speak a whole lot to have fun! But even if you just speak a little, it will go a long way, and some of the guys (especially the younger ones) speak English and love to practice.
  9. It’s surprising because Sao Paolo is more of a business destination and thus you expect it to be pricier, but my own experience found that not to be the case. You are correct in that flights within Brazil are super cheap (and it’s the best way to see such a large country when you have limited time). A few years back I got a r/t from the US to Sao Paolo for $350 which was just nuts! At the time I had to hassle with a visa and I honestly think that kept some US travelers away, but now that restriction is gone so to need to go check it out!
  10. Just curious if anyone knows if Sodome is still in business. My partner and I went there in September and it was ”unexpectedly closed” which was disappointing, but I understand that can happen there from time to time with certain types of establishments. It sounded like a nice place and we’ve had a lot of fun at spas in other cities in Mexico.
  11. Appreciate this info as well. Glad to have stumbled across this new site!
