I went to Recife last year. The beach there is beautiful because it features a reef and it has a small town vibe. If you are looking for GPs it is not so great. There are not that many GPs and the saunas are empty. Fortaleza has more GPs even though it is still way more limited than SP and RJ. The saunas in Fortaleza are atleast full to semi-full. I would skip Recife because it is very limited in activities to do.

Blue Space and Thermas Boa Vista recently seemed more like regular baths for locals to socialize among themselves, though receptionists made it clear it was gay and escort-frequented so as to ensure no surprises. TBV access from Boa Viagem was reminiscent of the longer-haul Über situation getting to Fox from Salvador west coast strip. A smattering of garotos de programa at both Recife venues but I generally was not feeling it. A very decent looking bodybuilder provider at TBV blew and edged me … all it takes is one as they say, and one visit each is non-representative … but these places probably comparatively lacklustre in longer runs. I’d been scanning ad sites as well for a long time; none had grabbed my attention.

The more worthwhile sightseeing activity is Olinda but it was easily done in 4 hours thru a heatwave morning, including lunch, from arrival at the starting point I chose to packing it in to get back to the A/C in Boa Viagem. Nice enough, and I’ll later post about it in more detail, but hardly worth a side trip of the flight distance involved unless you have extended time in Brazil  and wish to expand your range of travel options.

What prize do we give the first person to give a report about Goiania?

GOIANIA
1.5 million people
200 km southwest of Brasilia
Lots of parks (not unlike Curitiba)
A fair amount of art deco architecture

February '22:
Only GP place was big Sauna Botofogo.
with nearly 300 lockers and 30 rooms!

One visit my friend encountered 12 GPs vs. 30 clients
But on a Sunday visit he only saw 5 GPs vs. 20 clients

Locals pay 70 to 100, and my friend usually paid 100.
And he photographed some very handsome GPs.
Now I want to go there myself.

Did Davet say I might get a prize?

Try Blue Thermas

Thank you!

The Google reviews confirm that there are GPs in blue thermas so I would definitely visit.

in fact, it is quite funny, if you want to know if a sauna has GPs or not, look for complaints in their Google reviews. You will always find a man who is pissed off that he was asked for money!😂

Thank you. Your prize will be in the mail once I get there and confirm the information. I heard there are also a couple picturesque historic towns nearby.

Xclay, I tend to do the same and during each trip, I try to discover a new place. There is so much to discover in Brazil. Spending some time in Amazonas or in Pantanal is really awesome ... but boyless (there are a couple of saunas in Manaus). Travelling in Minas Gerais outside of the very well known cities (BH, Ouro Preto, ...) is also amazing. It is a totally  different Brazil : I discovered recently the "montanhas cafeeiras" (moutains where coffee grows). Amazing !

I still have quite a lot to discover ...

What are the GP saunas in Manaus, if you remember the names of the places?

Hello Tartegogo ! There were 2 saunas in Manaus.

H20 in a small house with swimming pool not far from center. The day I went there, there was no GP and only a couple of customers. I do not think it is a GP sauna.

Ofuro was much nicer and bigger with GPs, very good atmosphere particularly on sunday nights. It seems closed now

Thanks! Maybe I will skip Manaus then.
