  1. Right poppers are illegal in Thailand. Mind you I rather think the number of convictions will be very low. Watching local tv in Pats featuring all the arrests of farangs by the boys in brown, I never remember seeing anyone appear for using or selling poppers. Although I suppose being shopped by your boyfriend du jour or the room maid is a possible risk.
  2. Not seen the popper seller on the beach during my last two trips to Pattaya but maybe I was asleep when he passed. I remember he used to cup the bottle in his hand only showing it to potential customers. Maybe poppers are illegal in LOS. When I first discovered Pats fifteen years ago I took poppers with me but over the following years I lost interest and have not used them for some time.
  3. TCP/IP As regards the beach there are two principal ones - Pattaya Beach and Jomtien, which are separated by about two miles of a headland. The former many years ago was no doubt a beautiful 2 mile stretch of palm fringed golden sand, but regretfully no more. The sea is said to be badly polluted but you do see brave/foolish bathers. Nearly all the sand is covered by concessions who hire chairs under parasols for a small fee. Jomtien looks rather better and is much more attractive and the conventional wisdom is that it is cleaner and less than polluted. Of particular interest to gay visitors is a sub- section known as the Dongtan Gay Beach, where older gays like me like ,to spend time often with their young Thai boyfriends. Up to a couple of years ago quite a few unaccompanied Thai boys used to be found in the concessions looking for business, but for unknown reasons they are now few in number. We miss their brown slim bodies clad in brief speedos. So it is not likely that you would have a raunchy time actually on the beach, where everyone maintains a high decorum. However close by is the Jomtien Centre where there are gay boy bars where things can certainly get raunchy although there are no gogos which are to be found in Pattaya. Have a good trip !.
  4. I'm in Pattaya now and tend to wander about a little lot. The hetro sex industry seems to be in good shape in what I suppose is high season now. I don't know how many str bars, gogo's, massage parlours etc there are - maybe 1000 with an average of 20 girls each so 20000 sex workers. As far as I know there are no comparable "dating" websites to Planet Romeo. The gay scene is far more subdued compared with when I first discovered Pats 14 years ago. In addition to BT and Jomtien Complex Sunee was thriving then with perhaps a dozen gogo's. Perhaps there are now less than 500 boys in the gay bars and gogo's catering for gays like me. Maybe nearly the same number look for customers on the Internet. The increase in ladyboys in recent years is interesting . Like Vessey says it remarkable that men claim to be str after enjoying anal sex with ladyboys. I wonder how many boys make the transition by starting to use make up, grow long hair and put on high heels etc.
  5. I'm very carefull taking photos of boys and indeed myself. Last night I slept with a boy I contacted on GR who told me he worked at a hospital, I don't know in what capacity but he seemed educated. There is no way I would take him and publish photos. Also I would like my friends at home seeing me cavorting in Pattaya - well known as the world capital of sleaze. I have however library of pictures I have taken over the years of boys who were OK with it after me asking permission. I have a remote selfie device which enables me to get in the picture with my boyfriends.
  6. I arrived in Pattaya on Thursday evening which I think was the end of the month's mourning. I'm staying in Boystown where things are normal I.e. Bars and gogo's open with loud music and flashing lights. Walking about town during the day I do notice a small proportion of Thais wearing black and many business have tributes to his majesty. In the Royal Garden shopping centre there is an exhibition showing various episodes during his life which is open for a few weeks which I intend to visit. last night I offed a boy from Cupidol and took him for a walk down Walking Street. At 2 am it was packed with visitors and it looked like the gogo's were doing a roaring trade, although I had no interest in going in. The noise in BT ceased about 3 am. So in summary - as far as entertainment is concerned it's COMPLETELY BACK TO NORMAL.
  7. I went into Cupidol last night . I don't know about lots of Cambodian boys but the one I offed was. It was fairly busy at 10 pm with maybe 15 customers some cuddling boys. It's probably the best gogo in BT for twinks. The mamasan likes to chat to customers and told me she works manicure on Dongtan beach in the afternoons.
  8. I've just come to Pats via Belltravel from Swampy. Cheap and efficient service. However you now have to book onLine. I feel safer on the big bus and now they insist you use the safety belt. If anyone wants to meet up for a chat email me - I'm staying at the Ambiance.
  9. I went into A-bomb once during my July/August trip and found it to be a twink desert. But like Vinapu says BT has something for every gay visitor and my requirements for smooth cuties were closely met when I visited Cupidol a number of times and also Vassa, but I didn't have the pleasure of Biguyby's boy, but maybe he will be there next week when I'm in Pats again.
  10. Older Western women visit Gambia in Africa and also Jamaica with a view to having sex with black guys. The former has a well developed infrastructure of hotels, bars etc and and flight time is only 5 or 6 hours from Europe. Inexpensive package trips are available with warm sunny weather in the Northern winter. I did a little research thinking about going there myself but there were reports of hostility towards gays. One report mentioned 50+ blonde Swedish women with Boys on the beaches and in bars, to whom they give gifts of money, clothes and iPhones. Sounds a bit familiar ?
  11. What about the boys ?. Some twinks ?.
  12. Yes what a difference the case of a letter makes. I don't think Oscars has a selection of Scotsman upstairs - not usually anyway !.
  13. I stayed there a couple of times several years ago. No problems but due to the decline of Sunee I have not thought about returning. I remember the rooms were accessed by a flight of narrow steep stairs. My last stay in Sunee was at the Colonial Bar. Any reports on either of these accommodations ?.
  14. I like Oscars in the early evening viewing BT getting ready for the nights activities with boys arriving for work. They have a selection of items upstairs Jocks etc if you into that sort of thing.
  15. Yes variables - although I usually favour long term. If it's a first time the boy leaves on his own. I like to tidy the room. Wrap any used condoms in tissue and place in the bin. Put towels neatly in the bathroom on the rails. If I've worn my jocks put away. Rinse my mouth with listerine. Have a thorough shower. Then relax for a while in contemplation and deciding my next move. If I have enjoyed the boy, store his phone number with a note of his name and brief description.
  16. Yes the prices quoted by z909 are a good indication. I too prefer twinks. I was in Pattaya about two months ago and mostly had boys long time I.e. Overnight. If they asked in the gogo how much I would pay LT I would reply "1500 but more if I like you". I went to 2000 for a particularly attractive boy who was good in bed. Of course you have to budget for the off fee and you will have drinks to buy. If it's early maybe you will take him somewhere else before going to your room. It all adds up !.
  17. I have been visiting Thailand now for some 15 years and have very much enjoyed about 30 visits mainly to Pattaya. Before I spent my holidays in Playa des Ingles on Gran Canaria, Spain. There are few rent boys there but I had plenty of sex especially from encounters on the gay section of the huge beach. The weather is great there throughout the year, it's not expensive and is only 4 hours by air from my home. Why do I go to Pattaya then ?. In two words - Thai Boys. If they were not available and inexpensive I would cease my visits. In my opinion Pats has detiorated in the 15 years as regards gay sex tourists like me, and it's much more expensive for Brits in particular ( Now 43 baht = 1 pound Ugh !).
  18. There are a few both gay and hetro who enjoy mild exhibitionism and maybe I am one, but kissing or fondling my boyfriend in a public space like a hotel dining room is something I would not do. However it would be OK for example on the Dongtan gay beach or maybe in a bar in BT Pattaya. It's easy to loose self control whilst on holiday and under the influence of drink. Yes it would be a Beamon leap to extend a public kiss to fucking.
  19. Abang - you would wear these at the Dongtan Beach ?. I would be too shy but ok at the Samsuck.
  20. I go along with Worldatlarge - the Banyan Tree is superb by far the best experience I have had with Thai hotels. Fantastic panorama from the upper floor Windows and from the swimming pool.
  21. Following on from my earlier post about me alternating between being alternatively penny wise and pound foolish I am certainly the latter whilst in Pattaya gogo's. Like Vessey for me it's a 100 baht tip for sitting with me but 200 or more if I get the boys cock in my hand and/or my tongue in his mouth. There's been tip inflation over the years. I remember in Krazy Dragon 20 baht was the standard a good few years ago. You can certainly burn through a lot of baht touring the gogo's dispensing tips and buying boy drinks. Including a boy in my bed overnight a spend of 5000 to 6000 between 9pm to 10am is a realistic.
  22. British members of this forum will know the saying "Penny Wise but Pound Foolish" which sums me up when I am in Pattaya. On arrival at the airport I take the public bus at a penny wise price of 120 baht followed by the same for a motor bike to BT at 100. I also try a bit of haggling to make a small saving on accomadation. However later in the evening Pound Foolish takes over in the gogo's when I spray boy drinks and tips around, very quickly cancelling the saving made earlier. During my stay both expenditure modes vie for superiority but there is no doubt which one always wins.
  23. Of course you would be fine wearing thongs etc at the Samsuck. Like you I have enjoyed wearing mine there both during the day, when I have stayed there, and also when it was open to the public in the afternoon and evening. However I have never plucked up courage on the Dongtan Gay Beach, where brief speedos are as far as I have gone. Male Dress in the public areas of Pattaya is relatively modest compared with in gay oriented resorts in Europe and a good proportion of farangs are very scruffily dressed. I would advise caution so as not to be held up to ridicule - but there again it's your holiday and your choice.
  24. Higher grade hotels in Pattaya usually have large beds which can accomadate more than two. There is plenty of space for the guest and his boy to have their own space. On the few occasions when I have two boys I have slept in the middle, although I don't find these encounters offer good value for money.
  25. I mostly stay at the Ambiance these days and on balance I like the place, but I concur with the other posts regarding it's confusing layout. Years ago when Pattaya was just developing there must have been three shop houses, which have been joined by knocking openings to form, not very successfully, one unit. Now after checking in I fix the position of my room in relation to objects like a large vase, elevator or stairs. I want to avoid the embarrassment of a few years ago when returning with my boyfriend du jour it took me about five minutes of wandering about to locate it. On another occasion I contacted a boy on GR and got a call from reception to say he had arrived. I told them to send him up, but after several minutes he hadn't arrived so I had to go in search of him. He had been wandering about the same as I did. In July I think they had improved the signage as no doubt other guests had had the same experience. But in conclusion I would recommend the Ambiance as an ideal place to stay for the gay sex tourist, particularly newbies to Pattaya.
