  1. perhaps there are no elevators and they don't want seniors get hurt climbing the stairs?
  2. it's why I like bar hopping with you - trouble free as no chance of fighting over the same boy, LOL
  3. often just fact that we are out of sight i.e in the privacy of room is conductive to boys being more elastic. Not only with serious stuff but even kissing. Subsequent offs are also doing the trick as they know us better and not necessarily only because our tips are generous.
  4. since I used it my apologies if somebody found it offensive, English is not my first language although I understand it's not an excuse.
  5. 20 baht may sound trivial amount but it buys 2 pieces of meat in skewer , in the heat quite nutritious and filling snack. In back alleys far from center it may be good part of price of a meal. Or pays for trip to and from work by the bus or train ticket to Ayuthaya so our loose change has meaning to some.
  6. mixed blessing, in hotel full of gays they may be even more stared at or even proposed outright so there still will be comments and stares , just of different kind than in straight environment
  7. very good point and it brings to mind Gaybutton favorite phrase "if you want love in Thailand, rent it " I know a thing about unrealistic expectations, did not finish well for both sides, boy upset and me bitter.
  8. I'm last to consider Copa, Cafe Royal or Ambiance brothel accommodation although owing to massage boys on premises consolation and bed warming services are never far away. By the way I checked on agoda, they have mostly beds in dorms but Economy Double Room with shared bathroom is available for 20 $ or so , I think I'd stick to BT. Interesting thing , I randomly picked up dates 17-20 Jan 2019 and on agoda all dorm beds are marked as ' sold ' but room is still available
  9. it looks that they have also accommodation, I wonder about the price as it could be nice alternative to Boyztown hotels
  10. but if somehow we are forced to compartmentlize* our choices I will be opting for Lao boys , for some reason I have always good luck with them ( and they with me I add shamelessly as I don't believe in ties between boys tip and minimum wage) * I just invented that word for a purpose of my post
  11. This is area we need to thread carefully. While some boys will enjoy flashy places to stay and to eat fully knowing that without us they wouldn't be able to afford such indulgence and impress their friends with facebook pictures, others may consider such spending wasteful. I had in the past few comments that we could easily have the same meal here and there for 200 less or , at Sanctuary of Truth that if he knew how much admission was he would be happy to wait for me outside for half of ticket price. Another thing to consider is that in flashier places they may feel out of place or even singled out as moneyboys. Never crossed my mind until visiting friend staying in D'Varee Bally Silom, not exactly Oriental , not even Hilton, just to see how room looks like and boy I was with opted to wait in the lobby because he did not want people waiting for elevator to know he is bar boy - his eye-opening exact words.
  12. try Man resort in Wat Polanka area, a bit hidden but not that far from main drags and if you sin too much there's church short walk from there
  13. Welcome to the forum and it's very bad that right away I need to disagree with you. Don't Cambodian and Lao boys have eyes or in fact dicks? If you tickle them they laugh the same like us and if you pinch them , they scream all the same. I understand your position if you are Thai and you believe than foreigners are taking your jobs, just the same Amerians, Germans, South Africans or even Turkmen or Tajik believe but if you are farang what your beef with foreign boys is ?. Lao and Cambodians don't even look different than Thais and their cocks taste all the same. In fact in my opinion Cambodians usually speak much better English than Thai boys. It's owners problems how they decide to run their businesses, what risks they are taking and whim they snitching on. We are just customers and bystanders and should be glad they staff their bars with boys , best they can. Only reason to justify those raids would be to prevent human trafficking but I doubt it's a case , I'm yet to see foreign boy who did not have his passport on him which wouldn't be a case if he was enslaved way many foreign workers in the Gulf are. Don't get discouraged by opposite views and stay in the forum but remember that illegal foreign workers and gays in many countries are still classified the same alltogether - unwelcome addition to a healthy body of nation so we swim in the same swamp.
  14. just my observation, it's funny how we see the same things differently. I'm hunks chaser so for my eyes all Sunee bars with perhpas exception of GOOD BOYS offer the same type , now I learned there's quite a difference. I'm not disputing it, just loud thinking. When bar hopping with various our members I learned that what I see and what they see it's not the same. Looking at the same scene I may be salivating and others on a verge of running out screaming in horror ( or other way around)
  15. why ownership is important ? I be busy getting acquainted with boys and wouldn't care who owner is and if he is on premises or not.
  16. in general that should be principle of tipping - you gave what you are comfortable with. that said we should remember that ' thank you ' not always means recipient is greatfull and happy , it may be just sign of good upbringing. Since I tip 20 baht server who just brings me drink in bar I'd be tipping masseur more than that, after all she worked on my creaky foot for a while but world is not a fair place, sigh
  17. than you will feel at home at Nice Boys, no sissies there
  18. it must be something with forum nick ending with '9' as this is what both members complaining , not without merit , about costly Bangkok , have in their forum names. Coincidence or pattern?
  19. not necessarily related to travelling only but I noticed while ago that if helps to raise boy self-esteem when not only he chooses place but also pays for a meal. So sometimes when dining or shopping I make him paying , of course previously making sure I gave him money for that when I stitch ploy together. Yes , they also leave a tip for server and yes again , they usually give me back money left over from that ploy.
  20. speaking about tips in Thailand, I wonder whether others have impression that Thais despise getting tips in coins. Pretty strong word, I know, but on more than one occasion I was asked whether I have 20 baht banknote instead or when left 20-40 baht under the pillow it was left there uncollected even if on previous day the banknote /s/ left in the same place disappeared. In bars when coins in the folder are left there as tip that's OK but when drink paid exact change plus two 10 baht coins , more than once I noticed slight grimace. I wonder if that is some pattern or I just have bad luck although one of our member once told me that he heard in such a case comment that coins are for beggars so it may be something.
  21. I already told somewhere why - we human race like to talk about other people's money. Another thing I like to repeat is that while I tip , for me it's just afterthought , not matter for serious consideration. I only hope that people on tipping side of debate are better than my friend Henry ( he has nothing to do with this forum, not even gay ) who, wherever we dine together reminds everybody that we should leave a tip but somehow invariably he is one of our crowd leaving smallest tip . Years of open joking about that did not loose his purse even tiny bit. I'm pretty sure many of us know the type.
  22. I understand you are asking about Oasis ? Its on Suriwong between Patpong and Tarntawan Hotel soi, well posted but easy to miss because place is small and above street level with 5-7 steps to climb. Run by farang with Thai wife, Open only evenings and nights. As for worth going to ? I only can answer for myself, I like it and consider their chicken with cashew nuts best everywhere. No trip to Thailand goes without me dining there , either alone or with forum friends not to mention several boys I forced to climb those stairs. So for me definitely yes. As for others it depends , over years I got few PM's saying that people were disappointed with my accolades about the place. But the same can be said about my other favorite places - Foodland Patpong and Old Heidelberg Pattaya. This doesn't stop few of our members proclaiming along with me that those places are great . So as usual , all is matter of taste. Go and try for yourself and then you will know. Since I treat restaurants everywhere in very utilitarian way - I go there when I'm hungry , don't look at me as food expert at all.
  23. yes , just like printing boarding pass at home instead of getting it from airline counter. I fact I like that system of ordering dish as I have few friends / none from this forum / who are notorious for spending time picking up their treats while rest of party ordered long ago and it's just a hungry witness of their hair splitting deliberations.
  24. still less than I pay in Oasis Surawong, place where I like that dish the most. It's sure thing that whenever I will be in Pattaya next time I know where my first meal will be eaten as long as they still will stay in the business
  25. as with many other venues it seems that it is another case of "go and try yourself " as even reports in this thread cover all spectrum from happy to disappointed. It doesn't mean anybody is wrong, different people go with different expectations or our visit just felled on the wrong /particularly good day and we tend to extrapolate our experience as universal. I don't frequent saunas so don't take sides on the subject but freshly recall my two visits in ABomb in Jun , two days apart. First time I felt I'm spoiled for abundant choice, next time it was barely two boys I cold hang my eyes on. So two different people following me each on separate day could have opposite impressions even if each shares my taste.
