I'm not short time offer but I think you are right, on my last trip I had few guys who wanted 1500 - 2000 for long time ( there were also few who wanted 4000, LOL ) so 1000 must still be going rate. As for Toy Boys , one I had in Sept wanted and got 2000 for long time, worst spent 2000 that trip. Lack of chemistry. Year before another boy there wanted 1500 for short time but it was two of us offing him so I guess he wanted premium pay for premium audience ( we converted it to 2000 LT ) What puzzles me are those supposed hunks outside, there are always several boys but can't recall even one I'd classify as hunk worth trouble offing, l count my blessings.

unless price was clearly posted I don't see cheating in charging unsuspected farang more. Deplorable and obnoxious practice , yes but it's not cheating, it's market forces at work. You may be driving car which cost you 2000 $ less than identical car another guy with poorer bargaining skills or just bad timing bought at the the same dealer few days apart. There is a statistic chance that all passengers sitting in economy of say, Bangkok heading jet paid different price for their tickets. All departing and arriving at the same time , eating the same food and breathing the same fart infused air in the cabin.

that's the reason, price level doesn't leave much room for an additional extraction of money but locals still have benefit of knowing cheaper places nearby

lots of seniors are not weak, helpless , vulnerable or poor and they still get seniors discounts, clear example of double pricing. Not that I'm against , mind you, but truth needs to be told. Visa pricing is clearest of them all example of charging( or not ) different categories of foreigners differently but somehow we , with visa waiver to Thailand are not complaining for not being charged while others are. While I don't like double pricing I see often justification for it and reason for that is disparity in income distribution. Can't see why Thai making minimum daily wage of 333 is supposed to pay the same 500 baht admission fee to Grand Palace like foreigner living in jurisdiction where 364 baht is minimum hourly wage. They give us ( or Chinese for that matter ) visa free access so we will support Thai economy by other means. We are inclined to scream that we were charged 150 instead of 50 for a lunch meal but in the evening think nothing about shelling 500 for a dish which can be had two soi over for 120 in place with perhaps crappier ambiance but not necessarily worse cook. As for excesses of senior pricing in saunas perhaps fair exchange is if they let younger and fitter stock in for less or for free.

don't be apologetic and we all have our priorities and not necessarily your advice was misleading. Out of 4 points above I care only about 4. hot water , all other are welcomed if they are there but by no means lack of any or all of these spoils an experience for me. What really counts is quality of the boy first and massage second, rest is mostly trimmings. I understand others may feel differently.

and we need to remember it works both ways, our recommendation may be confirmed by others but also prove to be complete disappointments for them for multitude of factors. it happens with surprising regularity that best boy of the trip is found on our last day / night, no surprise here because this is how it works, LOL as for returning to a boy next trip , I found and no doubt other as well that sometimes boy we were dreaming about in farangland upon return turns out not to be as attractive as our first impression and following dreams made him. On another hand at times upon return we notice familiar face of boy we previously saw but just glanced over and now we wonder how it was possible to miss such a stunner.

i'd say Decemeber and January is high season, everything else is not so high with occasional spikes like Chinese New Year or Songkran. Last year I tried Septemeber , reputed to be lowest of low , it was quieter than Decemeber but not that quiet. I guess there's no bad time for whoring.

there's danger that those lavish 1000 baht tips are frequent occurrence in Jupiter as I saw that at least twice in September. It may greatly diminish boy's willingness to be offed , specially long time although I suspect only few chosen ones are lavished with such a tips
