  1. contrary to conventional wisdom vinapu likes naturally muscly men but not necessarily those who sculpted their physique but if I was there I'd certainly attend event if only to see who is attending
  2. welcome to the forum and keep posting. Try Fah massage in the complex, had good experience there in Sept and few reports after that confirmed my impression, no fem boys there
  3. save photo somewhere on your computer, use 'more reply options ' button below, then 'choose file", find file, 'attach file ' and off you go done proud of your service to the community
  4. even with that mess I miss that soi VERY MUCH
  5. I'm firmly in the bar camp, I like live people , not their screen shoots. I find whole issue similar to mall vs Amazon / and other internet shops / debate. Malls and bars provide human interaction and instant gratification and I'm willing to pay for speed. Streets without shops and sois without bars would be very boring indeed. Like DivineMadman I think it's good we have a choice
  6. I'm not into twinks at all but wouldn't consider visiting Sunee bars , Winners in particular , waste of time . Looks and smiles are still there , even for me , just not offing material but eye candy still.
  7. even if it seems that ' democrat ' Taksin with his moral campaign did more damage to gay entertainment than junta, very words hoping for junta long rule make my spinal cord numb , hence my comment. I hate those nation saviors whererever they happen to be. Sorry if you felt offended
  8. not sure about them being stunned but I stand by remark that ideas presented are sensible. Possibly owners even have simlar thoughts. Whether they are workable it's another question. As for shipment to Pattaya by leaky boats I suggest renting out Pattaya-Hua Hin ferries for operation a it seems that they have spare capacity and are quite new.
  9. I hope you choked on those words and are still in emergency room
  10. I'm too willing impatiently for such an opportunity but as crossing border all we can hope is to leave carriages with all luggage , being admitted on foot and then going back to platform to board other side's train I'm afraid
  11. correct, but ideas presented are quite sensible, nobody is suggesting relocating bars to Saudi Arabia or Nauru after all
  12. premises of former HIS massage , long gone, are still vacated , presumably with sauna intact . Remember place fondly as it was my first ever Thai boy venue I visited .
  13. don't you know that South America is Thai province between Phitsanulok and Lampang ?
  14. in meantime new rumors appeared on Gaybutton's forum I guess that execution may be delayed until well into next year so perhaps Bangkok temples will not be deprived our presence , at least in near future
  15. bars can relocate but will their clients relocate as well ? By statistic sample of comments of posters on gay forums it looks that most have their priorities in Bangkok vs. Pattaya question firmly set.

    Too soon?

you can remove farang from Thailand but can't remove Thailand from from farang / my case /
  17. we are happy you posted your trip report, thank you. Hope your foot healed by now completely you might be surprised if you visited his room that there's no bed at all, few boys may be sleeping there on the floor. as for late evening / early morning departures I have solution. At least last night or two I stay in some cheap hotel like Pavillion , Nantra Silom or Om Yim and keep the room even if I will be leaving late evening. This way no restriction for me on the off opportunities , if fact those who read my trip report may have noticed I usually have boy till last minute to mitigate trip anxiety. And as a bonus , shower is available option after spending last hours in sticky BKK air not to mention that sweaty last meeting .
  18. it is, our assessment of prices / high depends on our earning power at home as well as exchange rate - quite a mitigating factor in my case. So depending where we are coming from we may call prices outrageous or just bit higher. As for boys attractiveness this is very subjective. As time passes, past tends to be more rosy tinted and nowadays's water more dry than one in the past. Even for regular visitors attractive boy last trip turns out to be quite ordinary next one or other way around. But three things seems to be sure changes in comparison to the past : there were more bars then , most of them offered , now gone , acrobatic ( some may call it professional, not my word ) f***k shows and boys indeed paid more attention to their clients due to absence of smartphones. But even those changes are hard to qualify, not everybody was fan of those shows as after seeing few some were bored although I miss them since they featured 100 % naked performers. Having choice is good but up to a point - on 2 weeks vacation one can off only so many boys, say 14, and whether favorite bar had 25 or 150 of them becomes irrelevant. As for smartphones while being ignored may be hurting, benefit is one can survey boys unmolested while in the days of old we were followed with piercing eyes of hopeful boys. I actually like when boy lifts his eyes from the screen , notices me and smiles.
  19. keep in mind , visiting Thailand and visiting Pattaya are not the same although first is required for second. Many frequent visitors to LOS skip Pattaya altogether including me in my earlier years ( only on 9th trip I braved to venture there, LOL ) and there are those who go straight to Pattaya from Swampy and never ever visit other parts of the country
  20. that's the hope I have, bars will be resurrected somewhere but resurrecting soi as a whole will be harder task and this is part I miss the most, whole decorum and liturgy, bar here , restaurant there and flirty massage boys across. Even way of escape at other end - thing missing in soi 4 for example.

    Turning 55 today

add odd hurricane here and there and spoilage is completed but that the joy of living in places, it's always something, typhoons. snow blizzards, droughts, earthquakes, volcanoes and bad government. Wherever we are it's always something we like and something we not. For me Bangkok would be close to ideal but is far from -I'd not like living in place where is hot almost year round but as vacation go , perfect !
