Because we stick to the bars that catered for tourists. If u go to those local bars, ud see almost all thais with no foreigners. Gov can choose to open only tourist bars, and have the thai locals angry at them, and then went to those bars resulting in overcrowd, or close all, or open all. I guess they chose to close all

I would rather see the RT-PCR pre-departure test changed to a regular PCR test This will be the next best thing, but still not as cheap and widely assessable as rtk selft test kit, where u can even just use saliva and takes 15min to get the result. The accuracy is not as good but it is high enough for some brands (95-96%) and can be done in the airport if there is a clinic there. I know for a fact that KLIA2 (malaysia) have a counter that will provide the documents for only Rm5 (40 baht if u bring your own kit to test there. And price of the kit itself has gone down to around rm6-7 (50-60 baht) only. I guess other airports might have it too. You will need a rt-pcr test on arrival anyway. Though id still prefer for some kind of test pre-departure if it helps reduce the chances of sitting next to a positive person.

If they really waived the pcr testing pre departure, that should at least replaced by rtk test, with doctor's letter. Otherwise, the thing we dread the most, sitting next to a positive person, chances for this to happen might increase.

Keep the small night club closed but lets do concerts and large events instead....
-
U can lower your chances by travelling in business/first class lol
-
And this graph is using log scale. At linear scale, that line would be much more exponential.
-
I dont think it means 1 in 6 chances, as that implies the rest fail. Its more of the rest has not been processed/approved yet.
-
This is what happened in the phuket sandbox before i believe, or maybe it was even worse, meaning more than just people sitting next to the positive cases.
-
I actually read exactly that somewhere, but cant recall where. Anyway, i recalled they had like 22k application and approved 4k or something like that. I might be dreaming though. Update, found the source

It does say to wait 7 days (i assumed business day) for approval. After 7 days, if u didnt get anything, id reapply https://www.mfa.go.th/en/content/thailand-pass-faqs
-
They mentioned that you will need to show a QR code from thailand pass to enter, so i figure u should received this if your application is approved.

Dari medan haha.

Hmm, maybe i should arrange for my fav guy from indonesia to meet me in thailand? Lol

Im not expert but based on info you posted above, here is what i understand. 1) depends on which one is the first dose, the second dose needs to be administered after the period stated above. 2) guide above i believe ahould applies to all vaccines, mixed or not. It didnt even mention what type of your second dose vaccine needs to be. 3) as long as it is more than the recommended time, not less. Thailand themselves use 8-12 weeks for AZ.

In Malaysia, anyone who received 2 dose of sinovac will be allowed to get a 3rd pfizer booster after 3 month. For now, priority is given to frontliner and high risk individuals. Booster for those who received pfizer vaccine is set at 6 month after.

Are you going to Thailand within 6 months if the November 1 rules still apply ?

The airline will, unless you are coming from a country that dont mandate testing prior to board an airplane. -
I wouldnt but i guess some would definitely do lol of course no one would if they need to quarantine when coming back to their country (malaysia still impose 7 days at home warranty for fully vaccinated)

They have ticket to bangkok from KL for sale. But they are also notorious for cancelling and rescheduling flights, and this has been very frequent during pandemic. Their strategy seems to be sell as many tickets and provide free change for cancelled/rescheduled flights, or free credit refund (good for future booking). Instead of only offering limited flight like some of the more reliable airlines.

Given that the price for pcr test itself is around 3000 baht, id say its a good deal. Also, searching for surawong gives below hotels Raya is listed!!

Today i checked and there are now quite a good list of bangkok hotels with SHA+ status. Below are those in silom

Finally a light at the end of a super long tunnel?

Omg, if i had to do this, if i were positive, i would probably be spreading more as i'll sweat profusely and those liquids will definitely pollute the surfaces there, helping the virus to spread. -
Guess that means we just need to go to pattaya instead? Hehe.
-
Using this, and choosing bangkok, nothing came up. I guess need to wait for further updates from them

Sandbox scheme will restrict you to only blue zone area and required to take several pcr tests. Minimum booking of SHA+ hotels for 7 days. I believe u still need to stay in your hotel until your arrival test result is out even for sandbox. They can only travel out of the blue zone after 14 days.
