  1. Seems like there is a growing trend of young patients (25-49) suffering severe/critical condition and higher death rates amongst developing countries (brazil (5% of the death), mexico (25% of the death), india (50% for death are youbger than 60) and of course the risk on young children developing kawasaki like diseases too. While it was earlier seems to be affecting the old and those with underlying condition worst, seems like the playing field (or killing field?) Is now level up. There is a lot more unknown with the virus or maybe the virus is evolving and mutating. https://www.businessinsider.com/washington-post-coronavirus-young-people-developing-world-2020-5?amp Sadly, like the main article shared in first post, and as pointed out by divinemadmen, boys who are desperate might still take the risk. And the main article also pointed out an assumption that the customer who are a risk taker, might also taking risks on other high risk behaviour, like barebacking, chem sex, etc and might entice the desperate boys with money to fet their way. Yup, it is disrespectful and taking advantage of the poor and desperate boys but such is the sad reality. Btw, in another article, it says the death rate in brazil for people below 50 is 15% instead of 5%. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/the_americas/coronavirus-brazil-killing-young-developing-world/2020/05/22/f76d83e8-99e9-11ea-ad79-eef7cd734641_story.html?outputType=amp
  2. Yup, no questions any hygenic practice helps. The sexual services itself is actually high risk, so normally one would advice to steer away from it. But if you need to do it, as in no choice since they need to make a living, a guideline is a good thing to have to reduce the risk. By how much, no one knows. But the sex workers, they are at a disadvantage regardless. If they are desperate enough to risk the pandemic to work, they are also might not have a choice to practise those suggestion if the client dont want to. I guess the best ideal case for our boys is to have one long term client who they stay with or who can sponsor them exclusively. Some are in this position already, so those boys are set for now.
  3. How many of them will follow and insisted client to follow it? Especially when its tough time, client pools is super low, and risking losing a client is a huge risk. Showering helps but if the client is already infected, that wont do much. Kissing is out of question, BJ, nipple licking, all carries high risks of infection. For many, these restriction is a deal breaker. Unless you will be happy with just hand job and maybe only one or two safer position for sex.
  4. Came across this article when wondering about the fate of our favorite boys after reading a different article about porn industry adapting to the situation. https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/05/24/us/sex-workers-coronavirus-intl/index.htm Don't kiss. Tell clients to wash their hands before they touch you. Wear a mask. Avoid face-to-face positions. And even: Put on a nurse costume and pull out a thermometer -- if his temperature is normal, make it part of the game. If he has a fever, end the session. These are real tips that advocacy groups and health authorities around the world are sharing in the age of coronavirus, hoping to protect workers in the vast and often overlooked sex trade. Armchair advice would be to stop all so-called "full service" sex work altogether, but as UNAIDS warned in April, many sex workers are being forced to weigh what's safe against what will put food on the table. An old economics axiom claims that investments in "vice" and "sin" like gambling, alcohol, drugs and sex trades weather economic downturns well, because people turn to them whether they're sad or happy. Some vices are even thought to be countercyclical, rising when economy takes a nosedive.

  6. For some thats all that matters, below the belt.
  7. I just checked mine after reading this and for my case, the show follow info box is ticked off by default. I guess LINE has solved the issue.
  8. Surely those restriction will be lifted soon if they want to boost tourism, the reason the lifted the ban. But im not ready to brave the virus, put up with quarantine back home, not to mention a clear directive from my company to avoid any travel unless for urgent cases. And our gov just told us that from june 1st onward, we need to pay for accomodation during the 14 days mandatory quarantine at hotels and needed to agree to it first before being allowed entry back home. But if your country or company doesnt have that kind of restriction, this is the first south east asia country that lifted the travel ban.
  9. Good luck to all who are ready to travel and brave the virus. Cambodia is not a bad substitute for thailand.
  10. I wonder if phuket opens up, boys will go there to work instead and gay scene there will be revived...
  11. PeterRS has detailed up the responses pretty well above. Sex trade is the business, and bars is just the medium. And to me and all of us that adores thailand, a unique medium compared to many other places in the world. I can get massages here in malaysia, or pretty much everywhere i travel to, i can get MB from apps all the same. But a gogobar, with mamasan, the boys, the show, the intimacy inside the bars, the thai hospitality and of course affordable, is what kept is coming to the LOS. For me, other than LT, i lose cost advantages compared to what i can get back home, but there is nothing close to what the gogobars offers in thailand that i can get back home, especially the quality, variety, and huge quantity of boys all in one convinient place that a bar hopping can be done in one night. So due to this reason, i do believe its a temporary setback. Onwers of the bars might change hands but once the disease is contained, the bars will resume.
  12. It is temporary. Unlike wars or drastic change in political believes (modern example of north korea and numbers of middle east nation), no diseases have stopped horny human from having sex, paid or free.
  13. Lol inconsistency is the word of the day. Regardless, none of which matters and they extended their border closure another month. So they just decided to decide on things that doesnt matter. What else is new?
  14. Just In: 0 New Covid-19 cases in Thailand today (May 16) Thailand's Royal Gazette has announced that China, South Korea, Hong Kong and Macao will removed from its list of "dangerous disease zones" from Saturday (May 16) Shopping centres, malls and restaurants inside the buildings will be allowed to resume business nationwide from Sunday (May 17) The countries remaining on the list are: Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Japan, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Italy, Iran and the United States. Travellers to Thailand from countries defined as “dangerous disease zones” will have to report daily to the authorities for 14 days after their arrival. They must also agree to install and use a mobile monitoring application. Source: unfortunately, Bangkok Foodie lol Glad that non of the southeast asia countries are listed though if it were up to me, id still include indonesia and philliphines at least Anyway, found the Bangkok post article.
  15. There were no new infections of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) reported in Thailand on Wednesday, for the first time since the pandemic began to spread here, and no new deaths. Safe distancing is the norm, as people queue to receive assistance packages at Wat Rakhang Khositaram in Bangkok on Wednesday morning, when the government announced there were no new Covid-19 cases over the previous 24 hours. (Photo: Chanat Katanyu) There were no new infections of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) reported in Thailand on Wednesday, for the first time since the pandemic began to spread here, and no new deaths. Dr Taweesilp Visanuyothin, spokesman for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration, said on Wednesday morning that the total number of cases remained at 3,017 and the death toll at 56. "I am happy, along with everyone who has contributed to disease control... We have been doing better since the reopening of business started on May 3," he said. Since May 3, the number of new Covid-19 cases reported daily had been in single figures, except for 18 found among quarantined migrants in Songkhla province on May 4, he said, and quickly explained the discrepancy. "Actually May 4 was the first day when Thailand did not have a new case of local infection because the 18 cases found on that day came from quarantine facilities. The no-case announcement today makes the zero-case status official," Dr Taweesilp said. He encouraged people to keep taking disease control precautions, mainly through hand washing, using face masks, social distancing and cleaning, to maintain the zero-case situation. "We can relax, but cannot be reckless... Please keep to the new-normal practices. Finally, we may be among the first countries able to end the hardship brought by this disease," he said. Dr Taweesilp said that zero new cases did not come from any leniency in attempts to find infected people. He said that from May 1 health officials had expanded criteria for Covid-19 tests on people, to cover those with mild symptoms. This month 34,444 people had been tested and only 0.18% of them were positive for Covid-19, he said. Over the previous 24 hours, 46 more patients had been deemed recovered and discharged, raising the total recovery cases to 2,844, while 117 patients remained at hospitals. Dr Taweesilp said global Covid-19 cases stood at 4.34 million with 292,893 deaths. The United States had the most cases at 1.41 million and the most deaths at 83,425. Source : Bangkok Post
  16. Is it also possible because majority of men are working and women dont? And the virus spread through human contact, stay at home parents, most of which women are less susceptible. But of course biologically we are different too, hence the research above provide some clarification but i do believe the fact that whoever is outside most of the time will be exposed to the virus more frequently thus increase their chances of getting infected. That bit about smokers is less known though, in fact, in our country, smokers and those who is obese tends to develop serious complication and had more severe symptoms than those who arent. No mention of infection rate though.
  17. If october is the date to look forward to, i just hope similar or earlier date are also allowed for my country as well, of course without the mandatory 14 days quarantine. Perhaps it can be my birthday gift as well.
  18. Over here, at least in my company, most of us are working from home. If we were to take unoaud leave for personal reason, our annual leaves remaning for the year will be prorated based on the amount of days we have worked. For example, if you have total 12 days annual leave, and have worked 4 month, and started your unpaid leave from month 5 onward, you only have 4 days of annual leave to use.
  19. I just googled this incident when it happened and only found out that it happened in nigthclub. But after reading your post, i googled again and it has blown up to a slew of homophobic reportings by korean media as this were tied to gay club and sauna in Itaewon and gangnam. Being a still conservative country on homosexuality, now korean faces difficulty to contain the virus as people are afraid to come forward as this will exposed their sexuality to family and company they work with and consequences of it just too much to bear that some claimed it can or has lead to suicide. Also written on the article i read that the gov failed to contact over 3000+ of the club goer, which were given to them by the clubs. Its disturbing but the truth is when we isolate or condemning a part of a group, regardless of reason (sexuality, illegal immigrants, cult/religion) to the point that they had to pretend or go to hiding in fear of exposure, at time of crisis, itll come back at bite us. In several countries now, foreign workers turns out to be one of the center point of virus outbreak, mostly in much later stages as a second or third waves because we initially ignored them, favoring tests to our own citizen first. Now when it is found that many of them tested positive, and were living in dorms or small apartments with 15-20 pax in a place, it becomes very hard to trace the close contact in this situation. And of course the illegal ones will try their best to avoid the authority and run or hide, further make it more difficult to contain it. Korean media in the incident above plays huge role as some even releasing names and companies where the positive patient work at in the media, further fueling rage amongst the citizen and increase fear of getting tested by the club goers and this vicious cycle will only spells trouble. My own country is guilty of this too, and if this happened here, i cant say similar thing will not happened here which is sad. Lets hope the gov there will step in and do the right thing.
  20. This guy is definitely not there when i went there in december/january earlier this year.
  21. In my country, non compliance to SOP for social distancing and cleaning by businesses which are expected to enforce it to their customer will risk closure of the business, even if they are essential businesses and this has happened multiple times since our first lockdown in mid march. Im pretty sure thailand can also practise the same. A surge in number of new cases in an area, will result in a strict wuhan style lockdown (metal wires all around, all businesses is prohibited, no in and out the area, and food will be provided by the gov) for at least 14 days, more if new cases still popping up and all citizen locked down inside will be tested. We have had 8 areas so far that had been placed in such lockdown, with the latest is added just few days ago, related to a wet market and the surrounding.
  22. By sound its pretty much similar. In between ache and egg sound i think.
  23. Malaysia has opened up almost all businesses except entertainment, education and several other high risks businesses and activities on 4th May. Today, our gov just announced current practise will continue till 9th June, and interstate travelling is still not allowed, except for this 4 days weekend, where one way interstate travel by batches were allowed for those stucked at other places other than their own home. In the mean time, we also have areas where a strict lockdown (no one in and out) in several high risk area where there has been recent cluster of new cases happening, as well as mass testing our foreign workers. Crucial time now to see if what our gov is doing is good enough as finding balance between economy and health is what they are trying to achieve. Travel restriction (14 days quarantine at center or hotels only for returning citizen) is still in place and no talks at all about when itll be lifted so far. I guess only when there is enough countries in the world managed to control the spread, only then travel restriction will be discussed. And for South east region, indonesia and philliphines will be the benchmark especially a lot of their citizens are working in various other countries in the region.
  24. Whats left that is still not allowed to open after this round of easing? Concerts, sports events and traveling i supposed. Im surprised that seminar, conventions, amusement and water park is included as well as these has been one of the crowded places with high chances of spreading the virus with high turnover of people coming from various location nationwide (and worldwide once they ease travelling). Glad to see thailand is opening up faster than i imagine.
  25. Jacky is the name of the photgrapher i think?
