I am not seeing that trend on Booking.com, but a few 5* with rate increases higher than the handful of hotels I have used and that have modest increases. The important thing is that you know what you want and whether to commit. Good luck.
-
Hotel rate increases are not nearly commensurate with Airbnb and similar platform rate increases that are astronomical during Christmas-Réveillon and Carnival weeks. The hotel room inventory is about 10-fold the volume of Airbnb, swelled way above needs-as-usual as a result of construction for World Cup and Olympics, and does not nearly reach 100% occupancy for Carnival. The lovely 4-star hotel I obtained for friends coming to visit in Nov 2017 (I had my fave small apartment nearby) is going for 3,000 reais total for 7 nights Feb20-27, about 15-20% more than I paid for that low-season period two years ago. Adjusting for currency depreciation in my favour, closer to 25% more for a national. While Airbnb owners inflate their profits twice a year due to demand, hotels seem content with the bottom line of much higher occupancy during those periods. I am sure you can find rate outliers with exorbitant increases, though, and you may need to be flexible about location.

Rio Salvador Manaus Nov Dec 2019
Riobard replied to pauleiro's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
Kkkkk ... Clube11 should be nuts tomorrow, I think the previous time prize money was only 1st place R$500, and this time is closer to Xmas. And with free cabins all the time. I would be collecting phone numbers like crazy. -
Rio Salvador Manaus Nov Dec 2019

Assuming the lower area was a stretch known as “downtown (or lower town) cobblers” with Av JJ Seabra running through it, I would not walk there at night. I stayed in a hotel marked ‘Htl’ in green and walked to Pelourinho and back, or down to Clube11, in daylight but after dark in particular is courting trouble. You would also likely need your phone out for GPS guidance. -
“A Little Life”, Hanya Yanagihara, 2015. Darker themes, long, but a bestseller.

LOL, I know, that is what led me to the Instagram and eventually to research Parahyba. We appreciate you taking the Manauense plunge into the ofurô.
-
Actually, Parahyba does definitely have GdePs, referenced in a few places, and another clue is it follows Ofurô (Manaus) on IG. It has a slick website, likely a well managed venue.

Escort Guys in Europe - Where do they move in Summer?
Riobard replied to forrestreid's topic in European Men and Destinations
I know, right? That is what occurred to me. Clients lose on selection and providers lose on visibility. I just did a search for Barcelona along the same lines. Ratio 4.5 : 1 for site listings volume versus listings when logged into Planet Romeo.- 21 replies

Fly more pay less....

I cannot control connection wait times, but I can tell you that Philadelphia-Toronto-SãoPaulo adds a whopping 80 miles of flight compared to Philadelphia-Atlanta-SãoPaulo. -

In 55 years of flying out of Canada I have never had a major delay, missed connection, or lost bag, though sometimes a minor delay for winter de-icing. Pure good fortune, as I always expect a problem in winter to break the lucky streak. -

I believe the answer lies in the comparatively low Air Canada fares from Toronto (YYZ). Toronto-GRU on its daily gorgeous Dreamliner is surprisingly inexpensive at certain seasonal times, hundreds less than much closer Europe and usually cheaper than Copa thru Panama. This makes it appealing to Brazilians as evidenced by the high rate of Portuguese spoken among passengers. A USA visa confers entry to Canada, many want to see Niagara Falls, and they can take the train or bus to NYC, etc. I am paying about $500USD return for my next Air Canada direct São Paulo flight from Montreal (a new winter service). When Air Canada eliminated Rio direct they added a GRU-GIG codeshare connection for no additional charge. It looks like they are dinging you to get up to TO from Philly and back. TO-SP return in May is $615USD most days. Overall, the fares you displayed are priced high. -

Hard to say, many priests are both heterosexual and good-looking while stylishly groomed Brides of Christ. I saw the interview. Father Bitch resembles straight guys I have known.

The venue is bricks-and-mortar, with today’s challenges of sustainability in the context of expanding online merchandising. That is what many here are saying, after all. If your music store is (unexpectedly) too crowded because you downsized, eliminating the Classical section is not the answer, capitulating to the digital world. You will think outside of the box in managing the shoppers and inventory. For a brothel you find a way to uphold diversification, not second-guess arousal templates based on ambiguous standards of attractiveness. Everybody should be able to access their preferred Krispy Kreme and wretched Pumpkin Spice latte without the stock plummeting. Everybody is an expert and a critic. Perhaps R should just smile and nod politely while all stakeholders try to be patient and see how things evolve, unlike young guys there consuming anabolic-androgenic steroids at alarming rates. It’s been one week within well over 1,000 weeks of venue operation.

You are right. I am not joining Twitter but I can figure it out. And the better perspective, as I reflect on it, is likely members here checking out the venue. -
Rainbow Thermas Hotel, Sâo Paulo
Riobard replied to episevilla's topic in Latin America Men and Destinations
There was recent chatter about its [Club Rainbow] demise, but it seems to have ramped up its programming, if social media is to be believed. Many dancers can fit on the stage (LOL). I wonder if it is experiencing a bit of a renaissance. I cannot take the plunge until a few months from now. It is also apparently open very late Fri and Sat. -

Could you ask these guys about Club Rainbow in São Paulo? I am pretty sure "Maranhão" aka CS aka WG has been there recently. Maybe the others as well. I will also add a note in the Rainbow thread. Thnx. -
Escort Guys in Europe - Where do they move in Summer?
Riobard replied to forrestreid's topic in European Men and Destinations
Sorry, more than a handful ... about 30 listings when I sign in, about 15% the volume compared to just going as a guest into the Hunqz site. The problem for me, then, is not being able to contact a guy from the large grouping (I obviously want to see them all) unless he bothered to include his # in the ad's text. Also, I have to try to explain to a guy why I need him to send me his photos if the thumbnails are too miniscule.- 21 replies

Escort Guys in Europe - Where do they move in Summer?

I replace Montreal with Lisbon and it pulls up Metropolitan Lisbon / Grande Lisboa. I know that since I upgraded to iPhoneXR with more updated iOS I am getting better search results. Here I attach screenshots of the first 4 rows and the last 12 rows of a total of about 60 rows (60 x 3 =180 listings). Your 3 guys appear at very slightly different distances compared to your distances, and scattered broadly across the cluster of 180. I think my listings defaulted to Alfama district as centre of radius. But here's the kicker. When I log in to Planet Romeo to try to enlarge thumbnails and open a handful of blurred profiles, I only get a small handful of Lisbon ads before it jumps much further afield. I have always found the "synapses" between the two platforms very wonky. I should add that I do not have Romeo Plus.- 21 replies

But I count 180 on Hunqz in Lisbon today Dec 1st, not 79. Most within 2-3 km. I count by Distance, not Discover or Activity, though the numbers are about the same.- 21 replies

Thanks for the “long game” diligence. Apart from location, what stands out for me is Sept 1st has about twice as many listings across the board as most other of the six 1st of months in the dataset. I wonder if this is partly an artefact of traditional August vacation months, outside of local events about which I know nothing. Aug 1st was a Thursday and may have slightly predated holiday start-up. Sept 1st was a Sunday and may have fallen within the parameters of many holiday time blocks ... spikes in Mykonos, Lisbon, and Gran Canaria. The assessment, so far, suggests a closer look next year for August and September; when does the inventory start increasing and then taper off?- 21 replies

Nothing to stop anyone from figuratively bitch-slapping some sense upside the guy’s head ... or simply reaching out with your congratulations and/or expectations, eg what has always been a value-add viz type of trade. His email is in the ‘public domain’: rpsaenz@terra.com.br ——— Besides, age discrimination there is unconstitutional and prohibited, for example freedom to work and pursue free enterprise. I am not putting myself forward as a legal expert, I realize the role of GdePs is ambiguous in terms of employee status versus free agent, and these guys likely lack the organizational capacity of strippers in Atlanta, but operating a “brothel” for private “massage” is legally dicey enough without alienating a faction of your key resource base while making up your own age rules as you go along. It could be argued that in the public spaces these fellows fall into the category of entertainment staff. Mind you, prostitution is not considered a profession with labour rights. Nevertheless, it would be foolhardy for RPS to try to invoke an age restriction (other than conventional >17) in a venue that already restricts gender according to mandate, ie nudity-related decency leeway. If you are making donations to the local constabulary you want to honour the constitutional rights of your constituents and be as inclusive as possible in areas that are not directly impeding the business agenda.
