There is another forum on gay Thailand? This is the only one I was aware of.

The Murders of Rob Reiner and his Wife: and the Issue of Anger

You are giving him way too much credit, @vinapu! I don't believe he even has half a brain. -
The Murders of Rob Reiner and his Wife: and the Issue of Anger

Thanks for the explanation. I had not heard it said before, but then again, I don't listen to anything he says. If he comes across television or on the computer I immediately mute it. Have no desire to listen to such nonsense. Try to avoid reading most things, but impossible to avoid completely. -
Is that in the Silom area? Never heard of that one before. Anyone try out the new shop Titan?

Need recommendations for outcalls massage and bars for tops
jimmie50 replied to dewy's topic in Gay Bangkok
You might want to consider a business called Zeus Massage. They do not have a specific shop location, but provide service at four local hotels or come directly to you. Zeus Massage Locations: BTS NANA EXIT1 (ATLAS HOTEL) BTS EAKKAMAI EXIT1 (999 HOTEL) BTS BEARING EXIT 3 (BEARING26 HOTEL) BTS SALADANG EXITI (SURIWONG HOTEL) Line: https://lin.ee/HgUV96X 1. Choose from one of the locations listed above, or request the therapist come to you. 2. Provide the preferred date and time of appointment. 3. Pay the reservation fee in advance. 4. If going to one of their locations, once the reservation fee has been paid you will receive the actual hotel room number. 5. Simply arrive at the room and the therapist will be waiting for you inside. Pay the tip directly to the therapist. If you connect online, they send out occasional posts (not daily) with photos and basic info on the therapists. Most of them look fairly muscular. Not sure where you will be able to find 'daddy' type therapists in Bangkok, but these guys seem to be more muscular...similar to Jey Spa, Glam, and History of Massage. -
The Murders of Rob Reiner and his Wife: and the Issue of Anger

Perfect example to reflect on another post you started with the question: Why is this man still allowed in public. From news reports, it seems he was in and out of rehab 18 different times. One has to ask the question if he had not been given probation so many times but instead after three strikes would have been sentenced to jail time if the outcome of this situation would have been different. No plea was entered for him today, but his attorney has asked for people to keep an open mind and not pre-judge the situation based upon news reports. Anyone else see an insanity defense coming? His brother and sisters issued a statement specifically about the loss of their parents, but made no mention whatsoever of Nick. Would be interested in knowing their thoughts having dealt with him so much over the years. -

I agree with you whole-heartedly that trump does not have one redeeming quality. I don't understand the '37 Dolls' comment. -
Yes, trump claims the murder is the result of something called Trump Derangement Syndrome. The only thing I can think of that is deranged is trump himself. Several conservative MAGA republicans did come out and say trumps statement was inappropriate and uncalled for.

Trump Solves Thai-Cambodian Conflict - Or Does He?
jimmie50 replied to PeterRS's topic in The Beer Bar
I am not really 'in the know' about Thai politics, but those of you who live there and have been following the political situation in Thailand for years...do you think this current situation is related to the recent decision by the prime minister to dissolve parliament and call for new elections early next year? In other words, is this setting the stage for a military intervention once again? Just curious what everyone thinks. -
According to news reports, Rob and Nick got into a big argument at a holiday party hosted by Conan O'Brien. Several people attending the party stated that Nick was acting very strange the entire evening. Sounds as though he may have 'gone off the wagon' and was confronted by his father about it at the party due to his behavior. It was also stated that his mother had expressed concern about Nick's mental health during the last two or three weeks. Very tragic for sure.

Do some accents or languages get on your nerves?
jimmie50 replied to unicorn's topic in The Beer Bar
I have to be honest and say I never really thought about it until this post. I can't think of any one specific accent or language that annoys me. -
Trump Solves Thai-Cambodian Conflict - Or Does He?
jimmie50 replied to PeterRS's topic in The Beer Bar
According to news reports this morning in US, Thailand clearly stated trump doesn't know what he is talking about and there is no agreement for ceasefire. Typical trump claiming credit for something that doesn't even exist. As was already stated, nothing that comes out of his mouth can be considered truth or reality. -

Truer words have never been written. Sad state of affairs we find ourselves in these days. Depressing. -
If you find the diatribe so offensive, you can select to ignore those who make the posts. Easy to do by clicking on their profile and hit the 'ignore' button. I am not meaning you specifically...but anyone on the forum can easily choose to ignore posts from individuals if they find them offensive.

If he has been in and out of 20 different treatment programs, they obviously are not working for him and perhaps he needs something more realistic as a wake-up call...such as jail time. As the old saying goes, you can lead a horse to water but you cannot make him drink. Until he reaches absolute rock bottom and decides on his own that he needs help, no rehab program is going to help him. He refused to go to any rehab program this time.
-
Or for making any negative posts about our 'dear leader'.
-
Never heard of him or seen anything he has done. Read info on the link you provided and seems like a very troubled soul. Doesn't appear anything has helped him previously, so perhaps some serious jail time would be a wake up call...but I have my doubts.
-
Agreed. I never have been one to buy into this us vs. them mentality that many Americans have. Everything is definitely not better here...never has been. Just a fantasy world some people like to believe exists.
-
Sorry. I am the new kid on the block...so to speak. Had no idea how the site started originally, and agree it does get confusing sometimes. I just thought since the post was asking for specific, detailed info about one individual it might be better if people responded to the request in DM. That is how I handled specific requests about details regarding massage therapists from my recent trip.
-
Most recent number in the US is 118 cases, but no idea how accurate that is as the CDC has stopped updating counts under the current administration. I doubt we will have any accurate numbers for anything between now and 2028. Every single agency within the US government has become so politicized. You cannot believe anything said, posted, or remotely implied.
-
Perhaps this is better if answered via private message instead of posting here. I had several people message me after my recent trip to Thailand asking for specific information, but I would only respond via DM...not a post on the public forum. That seems more appropriate.

Russian Drone Strike Has Radiation Escaping from Chernobyl Shield
jimmie50 replied to PeterRS's topic in The Beer Bar
I rarely make any comments on posts around this topic as I don't wish to engage in the back and forth, but I had to laugh at this because from everything I have ever read in any similar posts, the only offender of a blatant disregard for the facts is the one I just quoted. -
Accomodation in Bangok when staying in Thailand for 2 months
jimmie50 replied to gytis123's topic in Gay Bangkok
I believe in a post by @durian about upcoming travel to Bangkok it was mentioned that Quartet Saladaeng offers monthly rates. Here is a link to their website. You might reach out to @durian to ask if he booked directly with the hotel, some online service, or how he found out they had monthly rates. Just a thought... https://www.quartersaladaeng.com -
Please share info if you do visit. I'll be there mid-February and will try to check it out and report back as well.

In general, I have always steered clear of short layovers (anything less than 90 minutes). I have heard great things about Singapore Airlines and know they have an excellent reputation for safety and service. Since this was my first time to book a flight on SIA as well as going through Singapore, I was very nervous about the short layover based upon experiences with US airlines as well as knowing that the likelihood of our flight departing San Francisco on time was close to zero. Most international departures from SFO are at least 30 minutes later than scheduled time from my experience. Anyway, appreciate all of the advice and comments. With the extra time I will be able to explore the airport and will probably adjust my return to allow for a couple of days visiting Singapore.
