  1. Oh now you prefer to discuss the quality of life, not the statistics that you introduced! Of course!
  2. No, I followed the link that you provided which showed that in 2023 Russia, even without visa restrictions as you describe, was only proportionately the 71st nation in popularity for net migration. Whereas many other countries, even those with significant entry restrictions, still attracted proportionately more migrants. EG most of Western Europe, US, Canada. This is the link that you provided https://en.m.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=List_of_sovereign_states_by_net_migration_rate&diffonly=true
  3. Of course Russia doesn't put on those restrictions. You need all the help you can get to persuade people to travel there!
  4. Providing more encouragement than help as my experience was more than 20 years ago...........But It did seem like the GAYEST place ever in terms of proportion of the population! I wondered if it was something in the water. If no one comes up with gay venues, I would expect that the gay guys interested will find the visitors in "straight" venues(or on the apps).

    TV

Your access to TV Channels and Movies(English and many more) is only limited by the subscriptions that your hotel/accomodation pay for and provide. Loads of English Language channels tend to be available in higher end accomodation. Where are you staying?
  6. This is the same page. Both are titled: Country or territory Total net migration (2022)[2] Net migration per 1,000 people (2023)[3] So the net migration figure that I quoted(with Russia at 71) is the latest figure(2023), and as a proportionate analysis probably more relevant to these posts.
  7. All this Meridien stuff is kind of weird. We were also on the 24th Floor in December and January in connecting rooms, even numbered! Perhaps it's the sluts floor! In our case we had booked cheaper rooms but were upgraded to Club access. The air condition comment tied in with our own experience as even with the thermostat at the same setting one room was always on the warm side while the other was always on the cold side to the extent of being regularly turned off. I love the electric blinds feature with which you can go to sleep at night enjoying the shaded view, without it being bright enough to wake you at dawn. But if you really want blackout bring the second blind down.

  9. On the other hand if you trust Wikipedia and look at the total number of net immigrants per 1,000 of the population Russia comes in at Number 71! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_by_net_migration_rate
  10. If stopped the security guard would require a return to the changing room to check the underwear being worn. These would then have to be taken off pair by pair while the guard watched until they had all been removed. At which point you might need to oblige the guard to avoid being arrested..................
  11. Sounds like a "resumption" not an "expansion"!
  12. Moses, you might like to post the link to your source. This doesn't read like your creation!
  13. That's generous/classy! He must have been good.
  14. What a brilliantly detailed report!
  15. It wasn't clear in the written report but in the video it sounds like there were "quite a few drinks" consumed, which may explain the bill total.

    Doiboy

This Thai movie, Doiboy, which is on Netflix is worth a look for anyone interested in the subject matter, although it has it's flaws it seems a step up from most Thai movies. A refugee builds a new identity as a sex worker in Thailand and gets caught up in a client's risky scheme that might lead to a better life.
  17. If Taiwan was/is permanently closed that would be quite a shock. And very sad. Although I've never been into the muscle boys I always made a point to have a drink or two there on every trip. But it was iconic and from reading reports people travelled from all over the world specifically for its services. It should have protected status!
  18. Surely "Bipaulm" is now in a position, OP having received the wisdom of the forum in response to his queries, to do a trip report? Note to Bipaulm, just because it was your first trip don't be discouraged from reporting back. It's always good to read another experience/point of view.
  19. FFS. If I have been assaulted/abused(I wish!) it's suggested that I should report it to a shop assistant!
  20. I always that someone who came multiple times without losing his erections was called a "repeater".
  21. A balcony built for "influencers"?!
  22. Anyone interested in Chengdu, and especially gay life there, might want to watch a documentary currently being released that focusses on an "underground" gay club there. The movie is titled The Last Year of Darkness and becomes available on MUBI this week. https://www.theguardian.com/film/2024/mar/12/the-last-year-of-darkness-review-chengdu-club-culture
  23. Given the current rigorous use of the lese majeste rules I would suggest that speculation in this area should be discouraged.
  24. Entertaining but take with a pinch of salt as the pinkish colour of Thailand suggests around one third of males are circumcised while, my research suggests a much lower proportion. I am willing to undertake more research and will be setting up a funding page to facilitate that.
  25. Not quite sure why there is reference to a sleeper on a day trip, although catering for a nap and a fuck opportunity is always welcome!
