Don’t worry AdamSmith, he may have banished you, but you’ll probably still get a Christmas Card asking for a donation.

Meeting up with forum members is lots of fun, but leave yourself more time for meeting up with the boys.

It is true many of the Vietnamese boys are waiters. But not necessarily there to lure people in. They are all as offable as any boy on stage. The knock has been that most are tops only. Screwboys and X-Size have a couple more versatile boys. Tops only is somewhat true for those of you there short time. If you are here longer time and get to know them, you will have better luck.

Most of the Vietnamese boys come from small villages in the central part of the country. English wasn’t on the horizon till they arrived in Bangkok. Very few boys from Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, but they do speak better English, I have a few friends that have lived in Bangkok for several years and are quite fluent in English. WeChat is a good app to use because it translates texts.

Many of the boys when being offed at Jupiter will put a tip into the box on the way out. The money is divided between the door staff and waiters on the floor.

You would probably be shocked how many of us have never been to Babylon.

I think we have to keep in mind that it’s still low season. Also I know of some people that would be there now but are waiting till next month because of the funeral next week. Let’s wait till the middle of November and see if things pick up.

Or stay at the Raya which puts you at the entrance of Twilight and many massage places within a 2minute walk.

Apartment would be biggest expense. I pay $1000 a month for my condo. But it has everything and includes everything. ((Elec.wifi,cable,). The location has to do with price. Can walk to public transportation around corner. Everything in a couple of blocks. I have a good friend that lives just across the river and pays about $500 for a modern condo. He pays electricity. It’s all a location thing. I’m home in bed before he gets home. I just would rather pay more for convenience. Everything else is probably close to half the price of the US. Lots depends on your spending habits. You can still go out for a $100 dinner or you can still eat ok for $3.

Somewhat dry rainy season - Thailand trip of Sept 2017
paulsf replied to vinapu's topic in Gay Thailand
I’ll side with Vinapu. If I’m flying 10,000 miles, I’m not going to sit with a calculator deciding what’s a good deal or not. You say your not going to pay outrageous prices. How do you determine what is outrageous? I hardly find 4000 outrageous. I know many forum members. There are some that every penny counts. But there are many that costs aren’t an issue. We all have guidelines, but they shouldn’t be hard and fast if your in Thailand to have a good time. -

Boy69, where do you get your statistics that MOST clients rip off and hurt their boys ? There is always a bad apple on both sides, but I’m willing to bet the percentage is on the lower side. -

Many of us are willing to pay for what we want, and some aren’t. No right or wrong. -
I spend 6 months a year in Bangkok. Yes, I have been priced out of escort scene in the US since I retired . Twilight in Bangkok is still my first choice for places to hang out, and there prices have jumped. But there are plenty of other places in Thailand where prices are still very low. Your right about massage places being the best bargain. Prices for everything go up, Thailand is no different. You can still enjoy an evening of fun for $30-$50.

February is the middle of the high season. Lots going on, great weather . Lots of us regulars usually there. High point of year for working boys. Give us an idea of what your looking for. Not sure what you mean by splitting your time.

I use Uber almost everyday. I have a Thai SIM . I never had to set up seperate account. It works great just as if I was in the US. You shouldn’t have any problems.

im working on coming over in December for a couple of weeks. This time I’ll come get you and drag you out

I used to stat at the Marriott all the time. Location is great. Price was right. Now you can get Airbnb’s really close to BT and Sunee and don’t need to deal with transportation at all.

Not true. Go look for yourself. Chinese do off boys. Mamasans will tell they don't off hoping you feel bad for boy. Then you will off boy.

I'll second Divinemadmans view. Boy69 you have a very negative view of most things Bangkok. I'm extremely happy with my life in Bangkok and yes it costs more than Pattaya, but I don't find it expensive.

I had a few friends that were there when it happened so heard about and was getting pictures during the situation. They heard the explosion and there was a bit of a stampede heading for the doors. They said it was difficult to breath because of the dust and fire retardant. Several boys said it will be a while before they go back.

Samebb is a good friend of mine. We talk just about everyday. He will be the first to admit that his colorful language gets him into trouble. I'll be the second to admit his language gets him into trouble. We have talked about it many times. He does live in Bangkok and spends lots of time in Pattaya. He knows many people in the bars and clubs. But several forum members question all this and then he goes off. He is also much younger than most think and relates to the boys differently than most of us. He knew he was headed for banishment and is ok with it. Yes, some of his info will be missed, but he broke the rules so that takes care of that. I'll continue to spend time hanging and talking with him, and I will continue to push him to take an etiquette class. He knows when he crosses the line with me and apologizes . But couldn't get him to apologize for going off in the forum.

I am at Twilight almost every night and see Asian customers offing boys all the time.

Your right about everybody being different. I fly half way around the world to get to Bangkok. I enjoy my time there. I'm not going to sit around for half an hour trying to calculate if I can afford an extra $2 for the experience. When nickel and diming becomes an issue, I'll stop coming to Thailand.

Not as much as we get tired of reading your posts.
