Hope this thread will run it's course before Christmas. Question is, Christmas of what year one wonders ?

It has its uses in cases of insomnia!

It is nearing its end.

Not relatable to all involved. Now the proof’s in the [enter day of observance] pudding; we know you lack sensitivity around cultural and religious diversity.

You should see the Interminable,  dull, condescending, self justifying, tedious PMs I'm receiving,  which I am ignoring.

You … ignoring.

We could ignore too, but it’s just simpler for all if we don’t have to be exposed to endless update bulletins you provide about your private correspondence and how it impacts on your fee-fees within a thread that you purport shouldn’t exist anyway. Perhaps he doth protest much while actually thriving on drama.

As do I, in a bun dance whenever presented, as well as pre and post.

Before you make the same remark to me: off course I did not read all of it. Because I don't care about all the details. What I do care about is to maintain a positive vibe and atmosphere at the forum.

Thank you for your post and I do take your points. BUT - and it's a big but - how can you hope to understand the reason for it UNLESS you go back to the very reason for its existence! You say you are not interested in details. This is ALL about details! Why did you not read the earlier posts which I had summarised? Unless you read the three specific posts on the Colombia thread and the unprovoked attack on me made there, you cannot understand the reason for this thread. I have had PMs from posters who did take the trouble to read all the relevant threads and agree with me!

When posting something, ask yourself the question is this something others like to know or read about.

I agree. Which is precisely why I have asked for what reason the original attack in the Colombia post was made. I have received no response. A brief one might have sufficed and not only kept the discussion to that particular thread but actually ended it there and then.

. . . If there's something going on between you and another forum member, keep it between the two of you. I really don't see why you would write about it here

Again I totally agree with you, Which is why on May 28 I sent @bkkmfj2648 a long PM outlining my feelings about the attack he made and stressing this should not be discussed on the main Board. Two weeks have passed and I have had no PM response. How can one keep an issue between two members if one member does not even respond? Please answer me that.

@PeterRS proved he can contribute also in a very positive way to this forum with the many posts he had done. Hopefully he will return to posting interesting stuff and get out the negative vibe of this thread.

Again I thank you. Following the OP I have posted nothing negative here other than to respond to those who have written negative posts about the OP. If there is no more negative posting by others, you will see no more from me!

Galia omnia est divida in partes tres

I had to learn that for UK O level exam. I had not studied Latin at school, and when I passed the Oxford University entrance exams,  I was told that I  had also to pass O level Latin. I had left school by then. Ceasar's Gallic wars was the set text! Happy days!
