Bangkok Report - Starting 2026 Right

Hey guys,

Just wanted to share my experience on a recent trip with the bars and massage places:

Part 1/2

Moonlight - visited purely because of nostalgia. The bar is pretty much dead on a Friday night. There were only 3 customers including me, with probably less than 10 guys on rotation, mostly the "boy next-door" type. Didn't stay for the show but had a good chat with the other 2 customers before leaving.

Total cost: THB 500

Dreamboys - I went here twice, once during a weekend and the 2nd time on a weekday. Out of all the bars I went to, they probably have the most guys on rotation, with a wide range of variety on types.

On my 1st visit here, it seemed like there were more customers compared to the other bars I visited over the weekend but I didn't off anyone. Had one of the muscle guys sit with me for a drink and chat, but he was so stiff that I decided to end my visit there earlier. Paid my tab for the drinks and tipped the guy for his time.

Total cost: THB 1300 (with the tips to boy+mamasan)

On the 2nd visit to the bar, I offed a cute lean guy from Vietnam I recognized from Freshboys, a pure top straight guy. In summary, it was a bad experience for me and probably would never take him out again.

While at the bar, I told him that I was not in the mood for a fuck and just wanted some vanilla, side fun (Google translated for him the exact things I was looking to do since he speaks limited English) and he confirmed that he was ok to do them all. He was also quite touchy at the bar, which I thought was a good indication.

But once at the room, he went and showered on his own, got on the bed and asked if he could watch straight porn on his phone. I don't mind so much if the boy has to do that when he is close to finishing (I understand he is straight) but this is way too early at the start (and this is also the first time in all my offs that a guy asked to watch porn on his phone 😅). What made it worse was that most of the things he said he could do (like kissing etc), he ended up not being able to do at all or did some half-hearted attempt with heavy reluctance. I tried pulling him away from his phone a couple of times to actually have some physical activity other than me giving him a blowjob or him jerking off, but finally gave up (and lost my mood to continue with the session).

He eventually came after masturbating to porn and asked if I wanted to finish too 🤣. I said no and just went to clean up. He awkwardly joined me in the shower but we ended up cleaning ourselves separately. I think he sensed I wasn't happy but I still tipped him what I originally planned to.

Total costs - THB 1650 (my drink + boy's drink + off fee+ tips for mamasan and another cute guy) + THB 3000 tips (sure, I could've paid lower but I was too pissed and tired to really care).

Than Tawan - I went here twice, once during the weekend and the 2nd time during a weekday. Hired 2 guys here. They have a bigger selection of guys now as the Atlas boys are now here too.

The first guy I offed was a slim fit Myanmar guy (happened to be his last day too). He is not the type that I would typically go for but he was cute, in a rugged, twinkish, bad boy next-door kinda way 🤣. He was a pleasant guy though, friendly and did everything I wanted. I had a good time with him.

Total costs - THB 1800 (2 drinks + off-fee, and yes the off fee that weekend was THB 800) + THB 3000 tips (yes, the off-fee was THB 800 on a weekend)

The 2nd was my regular muscle guy, so all good with him as he already knows what I like.

Total costs - THB 1500 (2 drinks + off fee) + THB 3000 tips

Just an observation on Than Tawan - I was surprised at how pushy the mamasans (and some of the boys) of Than Tawan have become, unlike how Tawan (or even the One) used to be. Almost all of the mamasans (and even the doorman) came asking for tips/drinks for themselves (without really doing much). Some mamasans pushed customers to tip the boys performing (even when the customers declined the boys offer to touch their dicks/ass). I saw a few unfortunate tourists who were surprised by having to tip when they received unsolicited lap dances that they were visibly not comfortable with 🤣.

It does allow you to end the encounter in the quickest, cleanest way. I’m sure he just wanted things to be over.

Yes, tip him but not the full amount although I have a feeling a more assertive Thai customer would have just kicked him out. The Vietnamese guy was clearly toying with @Shax and was setting him up to reel him in by being warm and friendly at the bar and not delivering on what was agreed upon later. Why even go "off" with a man if you need to watch straight porn to turn yourself on which is not only off-putting but rude? Couldn't he have just used his imagination? He's probably done it dozens of times before and was confident he'd get away with it and he did. They're working illegally in Thailand on a visa exemption, they don't speak Thai or English and they don't even want to do the work they promised. The gall. Locum doctors and dentists get about 3,000 Baht for an evening's work at a suburban clinic and they actually have to DO the work for three hours.

I suspect I know who the guy is. A very chiselled guy indeed. He was reviewed here before while at FB and the client came within 5 minutes and was very happy. 

As a risk mitigating measure I usually off gay guys for side fun. However, I know this topic is very divisive on this forum.

What @Travelingguy said is partly the reason. It saves me from the hassle of possibly going back and forth for a sum that I don't consider worth wasting time and energy on. The other part is that, while the service was not fully delivered, I did get to enjoy his body so yeah.

There have been instances in the past (once in Thailand and the other elsewhere) where I just paid a nominal sum and got the guy out because the experience was bad all the way.

Haha I can understand this. To me, the risks of offing straight guys are well known. So, while I was pissed, I didn't really think much of it afterwards because you're bound to encounter 1 or 2 bad experiences but also get really good encounters with the other.

For comparison, 2 of my good sessions in this trip were with a guy who - get this - is from Vietnam, a Freshboy model, and also straight 🤣🤣🤣.

So yeah, win some and lose some. Not worth spoiling my vacation over just 1 or 2 bad encounters.

I strongly agree with this and it could be due to any multitude of reasons. But the guys that you meet that you do get along with more than make up for it. Once you find these gems, hold onto them dearly!

Yup. The bar-boys are clear and have no qualms about what they're doing while the farang conveniently makes excuses for them. What more could a non-performing bar-boy ask for? It's a win-win situation for him and, as somebody said above, a win some, lose some situation for the farang.

That's a fair point.I'm sure different members here would have dealt with similar situations in a way that fits their own rationale and principles. 

For me, like I mentioned before, I would deal with situations like this on a case-by-case basis. Ultimately, my priority is to enjoy my vacation in the way I see best 😊.

Part 2/2

Arena - I visited here once and had the same guy from my previous trip. I noticed that his massage skills have improved from the last session, so I asked him why and was told that he had attended some classes since my last visit. Sure, it is probably not at the level you would expect at a decent massage spa, but good enough for Arena 😁. The afters were decent, as he already knows what I like from my last visit. There were about 10 guys when I visited in the evening on a weekend, mostly mature lean or muscular guys. I did get the VIP room which, honestly, wasn't great. It made me wonder how the normal rooms are 😅

Total cost: THB 900 plus + THB 1000 tips for the boys.

KMan - I went here once during a weekday. I texted them on Line about 40 mins before to book "L" but on the way there, I was told that "L" didn't reply to their texts and might not be available. They suggested that I select those who are available when I reached the shop. Once I reached, I was shown a few available options but none of which are my type. I asked about one other guy, "Zack", but was told he would only be available much later. Eventually, I decided to leave without taking up their service.

The manager (I think?) did warn me that with "L", he is rather unpredictable/unreliable. On this occasion, he apparently had too much to drink last night and only woke up a few minutes before I reached the massage center 🤣.

Freshboy - Like I mentioned before, I offed a guy from Freshboy twice on this trip without actually going to the bar. He was a model I met during my last trip, a friendly straight guy from Vietnam, with a lean body. We exchanged contact numbers the last time I took him out. Thankfully, I was in town before he heads back to Vietnam for Chinese New Year. I had a great time on both occassions with him, passionate lover during sex and friendly chats after.

Total costs: THB 500 (off fee to the bar, paid to him as he didn't go to the bar and visited me directly at night) + THB 3000 (tips)

Apps - I received several requests on Grindr/Blued/Scruff for both free and paid sex. For paid services, the offers ranged from THB 1000 (next door type of guys) to THB 3000 (the more muscular/lean type). I didn't take up any of the paid services though.

That's all on my short adventure on this trip (aside from the non-sex scene activities).

No, most here would've done the same as you, numerous posts over the years and we can only imagine how many more that never wrote about it. Guys like this count on people just paying them....

As I've mentioned before, I advise ahead of time what I expect and when they agree, I reiterate... no money and don't cry after if you can't perform, no excuses. Yet I've had instances where they wanted to be paid without doing what we agreed on..... if they were really bad, I returned with them for an exchange to someone else with the Mamasan, money doesn't grow on trees 🤷‍♂️

The freelancers or guys from apps can get difficult and refuse to leave ..... is why I like Tarntawan, security has their ID and once I mention police, they back down and leave.
