March 4Mar 4 I got tired of staying in the Base Airbnb ๐ฌ, so looking for hotels in Jomtien, well surprised the Zing resortย hotel is booked out !!! ๐ณ The AGATE is over 2400 baht a night and The VENUE 2000 baht omg ๐ณย but no pool , Busy busy busyย I just can't stay in one place toooooo long ...gets boring , looking at the same wallsย I believe the music festival ๐ถ๐ถ๐ถis on so may have something to do with itย I need a hotel with a swimming pool ๐โโ๏ธ ๐ช๐ชHas anyone ever stayed in the Hotel Zing , not to be confused with the one in the Jomtien complex ๐ฃ๐ช๐ชthis one is purple color The Hotel Zing is on the main roadย Doesn't look too crash hot but it has a swim pool and good price , just I would have to get a baht bus to the Jomtien complex, oh fuck it , I will just stay at Agate and pay that ludicrous price , should I be forced to do this ???. Oh get fucked all of you โโ Thanks for nothing โโ
March 4Mar 4 Author I must say I did a little experiment and left my hotel door open and then laid on the bed with my pants off. The amount of "stickybeaks " ๐ฆwho stop and look in your open room is amazing Just the pure shock on their faces ๐ณ , you close your eyes laying half naked and you can suddenly hear their footsteps ๐ถโโ๏ธcome to a stop and then you open your eyes and see them stood there in shock before darting off ๐โโ๏ธlol ๐ย

You may even getย a room just by the either pool. Close to Sansuk sauna too

March 4Mar 4 I had a similar situation in that all the Complex gay friendly hotels were fully booked in January 2025 for most of my trip. As part of the solution I had 6 nights at the Jomtien Palm Beach Resort which is the large tall hotel only a short distance from the Complex where Thrap pra Road meets Beach Road. Before checking in I asked about joiners, and mentioned that in my case they would be male. I was assured with a โboys okโ and made good use of this facility ย There is a rear entrance from Jomtien 2nd Road. The room was fine and quiet and I liked the huge swimming pool. ย

You could book day by day as rates may drop further. I presume they will go up again during Songkran. Hotel Zing rooms are tiny and I personally don't care for that purple and all-white paint job but it sounds like a safe, budget-friendly option and vinapu likes their breakfasts. ๐

March 6Mar 6 Author Yes I stayed in the ๐ชHOTEL ZING,๐ช don't confuse it with ZING RESORT in the Jomtien complex the last few nights , booked through THEIR website at 900 baht a night , you can actually become a "Zinger" member , which means I could check in early , no other benefits that I can see , they let me check in at 1145am whilst I saw others sitting in the reception ย you can actually get it cheaper on Agoda I'm sure , I'm sure in low season they go down to 750bย The rooms are small , here you will see a picture of my room which was a twin bed ,ย To get value for my room, I set the alarm on at 3am so I could sleep in both beds and changed overย ๐๏ธ๐as you can see by the pic both beds have been usedย The negatives are , you will have to get a baht bus๐ to the Jomtien complex or walk the 20 minutes ๐ถโโ๏ธ๐ถโโ๏ธ They have a medium sized swimming pool which was full at 10am this morning with European people , these people like to SHOUT on their phone as they are talking ๐ฃ๏ธ๐ฃ๏ธaround the swimming pool. The swimming pool is not as big as Jomtien complex zing ๐โโ๏ธ๐โโ๏ธ No rooms have balconies โผ๏ธโผ๏ธ It's a budget hotel and they admit itย It's on the main roadย Breakfast 199 baht buffet ,average value ,not great ,not badย Would I stay here again? Probably not ,rooms too small ,no balcony to sit n have coffee , too far from action , and I don't like Russians shouting , oh don't be racist please !!!ย
March 6Mar 6 Not sure why there are so many tourists now. When I return to BKK late afternoon yesterday, the airport was humming with arriving passengers. I have not seen it so crowded for quite a few years. Was it a holiday somewhere? My flight was CX from Hong Kong and was no more than 15% full.

I arrived at about 4pm yesterday, the queue at the immigration was the longest I seen in BKK... But I thought these were local bands performing and therefore attracting mostly Thais? Or maybe people are planning to have one final bang in Thailand before the US and Israel bring us into WW3. Anyway, enjoy your stay in Thailand, Foolish. As always, don't do anything foolish. ๐ ย

March 7Mar 7 Author Guys ,don't believe any of this BS about no farangs going to Thailandย All the gay bars I saw last night were busy , I must say the clientele however appear to be younger farang couples more so ,eg young middle aged German / European gay couples and young Chineseย Asian, obviously all gay couple touristsย I doubt they hire moneyboys thoughย
March 7Mar 7 @Olddaddyย 1 hour ago, Olddaddy said: All the gay bars I saw last night were busy Are you referring to the host /cabaret bars of Jomtien Complex specifically? I know the title of the thread says Jomtien, but we often stray from the topic, so just checking....

I noticed when departing on Tuesday (a public holiday) the airport was humming with people but the departures immigration queues were quite light. The e-gates have certainly helped reduce those queues very considerably.

March 7Mar 7 4 minutes ago, vinapu said: for departures yes, for arrivals I remember seeing sign "Thai, Singapore and HongKong passports only" You saw it correctly. But there are conditions. You must have entered Thailand at least once before and have an arrival stamp in your current passport. You must be entering on one of the visa exemption schemes. They are only located in the C arrivals hall - not in the west one. Then in the event of peak arrvals, the immigration officials have the right at their discretion to move you into a normal immigration lane. But certainly worth trying.
