Popular Post macaroni21 Posted June 11 Popular Post Posted June 11 I too used to have some reluctance taking Vietnamese boys from bars; they seemed a bit too direct and transactional. Even then, I was uncomfortable with those thoughts because at an intellectual level, it didn't feel right. People from all countries span the gamut of behaviours. My sample size was extremely small by comparison; it simply wasn't fair. Then I found lovely Vietnamese guys (personality-wise) in the Bangkok massage parlours, and in the last few years, been visiting Vietnam more, and I no longer think as I did. There are all sorts. The likely explanation why some members here may think of Vietnamese as somehow different may be because you're meeting them in gogo bars, where hustling is the name of the game. Perhaps, they are just better at hustling than their more laid-back Indochinese neighbours (by the way, I use the term Indochinese to include Thailand and Burma). The Chinese too are very good at hustling, in my experience, but if you get past that or if your interaction with them doesn't involve that, they're wonderful people. Let me give you an example. In Thailand, after a certain kind of touristic show, the performers in their costumes are in the lobby allowing you to take pictures with them. I have had at least 2 experiences in China where, yes the performers were there and they were in costumes, but they were selling souvenir merchandise. I never found out if buying something (at obviously inflated prices) was the ticket to getting a photo taken. Personally, I love seeing the variety in this world. Reports from here but also from friends. I do miss the gang of Vietnamese boys at Jupiter who were cute as buttons and very entertaining. Seems there are none left there. He was kind of amazing and we still chat periodically. Also, if you like gay saunas, Nadam Spa in HCMC is among the best anywhere and filled with hot Vietnamese guys that were generally agreeable to doing things with this non-Vietnamese guy when I was there in January. The food in Vietnam is also incredible. I should probably apologize for this stream-of-consciousness-ish post but I feel like someone has to stick up for Vietnam. Especially with country itself, I’ve had nothing but great experiences. The gay scene and sex aren’t in your face all the time as is frequently the case in Bangkok but for those that are looking, it’s certainly available. Generalisations are not helpful. I offed a Vietnamese guy, from Goodboys, and he was really good.. He has become a regular, though he no longer works in a bar. Happy with 3somes, good English, great sex! Popular Post zoomomancs Posted June 11 Popular Post Posted June 11 I like Vietnamese men and I have known dozens of them since 2014 when I met 6 of them working at BBB Inn on Rama IV. But I don't want to do that much in bed which helps, as most of them are straight. I reckon a few are bisexual from their enthusiasm doing it. I find Thai rent men can be a bit primped and queeny for me while Vietnamese men are more 'lads next doorish' and I find them fun. Maybe it's the lure of the straight bloke. I haven't had a problem with thefts. Mavica, jason1975, rockeroy and 3 others 5 1 Quote

ChristianPFC Posted June 14 Posted June 14 10-15 years ago, I had several negative experiences with Vietnamese money boys in Bangkok. Friends and forums reported similar. One friend summed it up nicely: they ask a lot (of money), but do very little (in bed). Whereas the several Vietnamese I met for free online in Bangkok or Vietnam all fine. They're actually like any other people around the world, but when they have to hustle, they hustle hard. floridarob 1 Quote
