It's reasonably priced too I think it's a tad cheaper than Happy Beer Garden if my remember correctly. Plus the live music adds great value to the overall experience.

Thankfully we are all diflerent. I generally loathe live music when I am dining and chatting with friends. Actually, that's not entirely true. In the original Babylon, the restaurant would usually have a flute and harp or a solo acoustic guitar playing very softly at the week-ends. Anything louder and I find another eatery.

100 baht commission for boy drinks for all bars except for Good Boy. At Good Boy, boy drinks cost 400 baht. Bar takes 200 baht while the other 200 baht goes to the guys. So I don't mind buying drinks for the guys there and their friends whenever I visit.

It's actually more dismal than that.  The average 7-Eleven worker in Thailand works 10 hour shifts, 6 days a week for that small daily wage. 

Amazing that they can put up with what must be a stressful job for 60 hours per week.  I cringe when I see a tourist being rude to the cashiers in 7-Eleven.

I believe Google AI is assuming incorrect in that they are using a 5 day workweek (22-day working month) to establish the wages.  In many countries such as Thailand, workers in many lower paid jobs have only one day off per week.

That has not been my experience.

Update #5 part 1

 

Saturday 

Slept well the whole morning, such luxury compared during my normal working days.

I got up from bed after 13:00hrs felt only a slight hunger so I just went to 7-eleven in front of my hotel for a quick sandwich and a can of cold coffee to be brought back to my room. 

I don't have any plans for the day yet but as I was doom scrolling on my phone my eyes glance on the bright green app on my screen. Opened it and saw some adverts from a few massage places I follow here on LINE. I totally forgot about wanting to book Singha from Ssense so I sent them an inquiry unfortunately Singha is not available until 26th June, so far away.

So I then move on to other massage shops choosing between Jey Spa's JayJay or The Residences' Yuya. Since I've try Jey Spa previously and was quite satisfied I went ahead a book JayJay at 17:00hrs. I left the hotel around 15:45hrs so I have enough time to travel and explore the area before heading to the shop.

I reached there 5 mins before my appointment time and paid for the room. This time around I have chosen to book the Suite (with shower and toilet) for THB1500 for 90mins.

I reached our small tour group meeting place (MBK entrance) around 06:45am and munched on another set of egg salad sandwich and cold coffee I bought from 7-eleven on my way there.

We left MBK with a total of 7 people (a family of 4 from India, 1 Brit, 1 Israeli, and lastly me) by around 07:00 HRS on a Toyota HIACE van and made our way to Kanchaburi, a 3 hour drive from Bangkok with a toilet/snack stopover along the way.

Once we reaches Kanchaburi our first stop was the JEATH war museum we were there for 20mins with our guide patiently explaining the history of the place and the horrors of war.

After that we have hopped on a 20 minute motor boat towards our second destination the River Kwai bridge.

 

Once we reached there our guide continued to give us the history of the place and allowed us to roam around for another 20 minutes walking through the railway while the train is waiting to go after some time.

 

Once we had our fill we left and headed to our main location the Erawan National Park.
