Visa for Hanoi

Recommended Posts

In August I plan to spend time in Hanoi with my bf who has a Filipino passport ๐Ÿ‡ต๐Ÿ‡ญ

Only a few days should be sufficeย

However the visa situation is very strict I hear ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿซ

A Google search indicates private visa companies onlineย

One must wonder in essence who the true visa companies are?

One must wonder ๐Ÿค” is life worth it to go to Hanoi ?

One must ๐Ÿค” wonder what one will do there ?

I will go from BKK to Hanoi , now if someone could research all this info for me please !.

Visa for Australian and one for Filipino passport and Bangkok to Hanoi airfares and times thanks !

Oh if you not happy .... Leave !!๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’จ

Looks like I will have to contact a visa agent in Bangkok ๐Ÿ˜•

I got my Vietnam visa online. Did it months in advance. When I went to the airport, they wouldnโ€™t let me board the flight because my passport expiration date was wrong. I know it wasnโ€™t my mistake. I was lucky enough to be in a FB group for Vietnam travel and I posted there and a woman from San Jose was able to contact the embassy in HCMC and get my visa corrected. I was able to fly the next day.ย

Point it, you can probably apply online. But be very careful. A friend told me the same thing happened to her daughter.

Also, Hanoi was a disappointment. Way too many motorbikes and not much to see.

Yes I have heard stories about how pedantic they are about the visaย

I may also have to book Fast track at the airport there as I read the hottie stories of hours of wait in immigration ๐Ÿฅบ

As for Hanoi I guess I will be forced to do my own research as what to see and where to go , quite ridiculous i am forced to do this !! ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ˜ก

I got my visa on line with no problems. As I had an APEC business travel card, I got through FastTrack in a couple of minutes.

I had a guide who was gay and great fun to see the city with. He was the friend of friends of mine. Although he had a hotel job, he was able to get time off for my three days.

I loved the city - motorbikes apart! As so often in Vietnam it is the mixture of local and French colonial customs that make it interesting. Since I was accompanied, I can't advise on MBs but there must be quite a lot in a city of nearly 10 million people.

Easy to get around

Why do you say that? Siam Roads alone has four guides who can give visitors excellent tours including the gay bars, but they are not for sex.

So you expect guides who have never met @Olddaddyย and his partner to give them some sort of test before they even arrive?ย

The woman who helped me get my visa overnight ran an agency that did the fast track thing. When I told her I was an ESL teacher and had had many Vietnamese students over the years, she said she would get my visa fixed free of charge - Merry Christmas! So to thank her, I signed up for the fast track thing. I didnโ€™t want any more problems. It was totally worth it. You definitely donโ€™t want to run into an immigration agent who decides they need a little extra cash that day. Personally, Vietnam is not a country I am interested in returning to, even though the food was amazing.
