When is the Grand opening of Guidos in Pattaya 

I'm awaiting a VIP invite 🎀🍾

I must say he does look at me kind of strangely everytime he sees me , I can never describe the look🤯 , just like a fixated gaze ,🫣 just like he is trying to work me out ....or perhaps has worked me out 😉

but he is a brilliant man  and one of the best restauranters in Thailand , probably the best , I don't know any others lol 😂 

I wish him much luck in Pattaya !!🤞

I certainly will visit everytime I'm in Pattaya just like I do in Bangkok

That is the million dollar question.

Earlier it was stated 24 July - but that date came and went.

I walked by it yesterday during my health walk - as it was raining my photos are not the greatest.

Anyone want to make a guess on the to-be opening date?

In the meantime, you can eat the best schnitzel meal in Jomtien over at Schatzi's new restaurant in Supertown.  

I hear that Ziggy has a delicious German sausage but I have not yet had an opportunity to taste it.

From the progress that has been made over the last 3 to 4 months I would guess that they are 80% complete.

Perhaps it will open in September?

Well if it's not open by the end of next week I will be lodging a 5 page complaint letter !! 

The official G's Facebook page states that the opening will be in early August.

Was supposed to be opened on Aug 6th, new,improved formula date is Aug 15.

G's Bangkok has announced that it will open its restaurant in Pattaya on Saturday 15 Aug 2026 at 3 PM (that's later today).

Do I detect a countdown and a drum roll......Or should it be the other way around?

It looks good and I wish G the best. Anyone who can deal with the soi 4 mafia will make a success in Pattaya, I hope.

Location, being one of the most important things.... I wonder how many will frequent this place as often as Soi 4, minus the view of passerby's and boys going to work 🤔

Not a cheap investment there, like a bar in Jomtien with a fridge being the biggest capital cost, lol

Yes, I also worry, as that is Phratamnak soi 6, which is a type of residential street - with Phratamnak soi 5 being the primary commercial busy street for the Phratamnak neighborhood of Pattaya.

The good news is it is very easy to find parking near Guido's new restaurant.  Also, it is only like a 5 to 7 minute walk down to the Phratamnak beach promenade which connects to the gay volleyball area and Dongtan Beach, which offers a very pleasant seaview walk back to the Jomtien Complex, aka Supertown.

I guess his customers will be Russian families etc up that way

Phratamnak soi 7 is the main street of the Russian zone in Pattaya - almost all signage is in Russian, Thai, and sometimes in English.

In the below Youtube video 2 Russians give a tour of Phratamnak soi 7 - don't forget to activate the English AI track 

 

At the point where Phratamnak soi 7 and Phratamnak soi 6 almost merge is the biggest Russian night market.  Guido's new restaurant on soi 6 is just 5 minutes by foot further south towards the beach.
