This is insulting on several levels. The use of the word homos (along with fags, poofters, pillow biters etc) to describe gay people is considered offensive and not acceptable in everyday conversation. It has a long history of being used as a derogatory slur to demean, marginalise and insult LGBTQ+ individuals. It may be part of the vernacular in Podunk America or of the MAGA crowd, but it isn't elsewhere and certainly not in 2026.

Secondly, I don't know why you seem to think it's so unusual for gay people to be interested in sports. You said in another thread that you can't imagine that anyone in this forum would be interested in sports. I let it slide that time but not today. Why would it be so difficult to imagine members of this forum to be interested in sports? Because we're gay? I can assure you that not only are many of us interested in sports but we also play sports. We don't just sit in front of the TV watching it, stuffing our faces and growing fat.

LGBTQ+ people playing sports professionally are everywhere. Chiang Mai has an active LGBTQ+ volleyball team and they've thrashed the straight boys several times; it's all in good fun and everybody goes for a beer afterwards. Keep us this insular, macho shit attitude of yours and I can envisage you having problems in Thailand; I'm already forming a composite picture of what you're like from your posts and it's not a pleasant one.

How would you have received feedback from Chiang Mai guys had you not been enquiring about @aaroninatl ’s activities there? Even if unsolicited from the boys (though I find it hard to believe they would single out an unrelated, individual farang to gossip about long distance for no reason) you can close one ear and not drag this into an open forum. If you find aaroninatl’s posts and behavior triggering there is no need to continuously engage.

Lol, don’t sweat it dude. don’t feed the trolls. Had you not quoted him I would never would’ve seen it. Some don’t get any attention from the real world so they seek it out in places like this. Someone told me in a private message no one’s ever met him in a person. You could probably guess why.

Ahh ok... I tip more based on service. But I feel ya. I'm rarely accused of undertipping. Usually the opposite. So that's why I seriously wanted a dollar/baht figure. Definitely didn't want to insult him. I keep getting mixed messages on tipping... some say it's not a thing here. So I just figured 10% would be appropriate. Thanks pal!

don't read my post that I suggested you undertipped. I think 100 would be about fair , but again, because of looks I think boy deserved more.

Oh trust me I did. I felt terrible the second I saw that earlier today. 😆 It benefitted the waitresses at the bar I went to for breakfast this morning to watch the game. I was the only one in the place at that hour and they were so sweet. I think my bill was 200 baht and I left 400.
