With the mayor of San Diego resigning on Friday after 17 complaints of sexual harrassment were lodged against him, some think former councilman Carl DeMaio, currently running as a Republican for Congress, might make a good successor. Yet DeMaio is facing his own scandalous allegations. Former Council President Ben Hueso, now a Democratic state senator, says he caught DeMaio masturbating in the restroom outside the council room...during meetings of the council! VoiceofOC.org states that "Describing the scene that spring when he walked in on DeMaio, who was in front of a urinal with his pants down, Hueso said: “DeMaio was masturbating. He jumped, caught by surprise. He ju…

While the state has no law for or against the marriages of same sex couples, a judge has issues an order to being issuing marriage licenses. This has already started. Naturally, a group of Republican's have started to try to get an injunction to stop the licenses from being issued. It will be interesting to see the outcome of these rulings. http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/more-couples-from-around-the-state-getting-nm-same-sex-marriage-licenses/2013/08/22/92748978-0b89-11e3-89fe-abb4a5067014_story.html

The programmers are trying to install a Spy program on the site. It does NOT spy on your personal information. It has been an active mod for our forum for a bit but never on this site. We had issues installing it last week because of our theme on the site that we use as opposed to Invision's built in theme. I have used it on other sites and members love it. What it does is it allow members to see the threads that were last posted to as opposed to the last topics posted on the right hand side. It just shows activity in the posts. That is it. Nothing more. I am not sure why Invision does not incorporate this into all their boards but it was an additional cost and install.…

Speculation has long held that Princess Diana was murdered, and now the story is back in the news as a former soldier's estranged in-laws say he told them that British Special Forces working for MI6 killed her. The statement is being taken seriously by Scotland Yard, or at least it appears to be. The revelation comes as a new book on the topic hits the stores on August 29th. 19-year-old Internet sensation and Nickelodeon star Lucas Cruikshank has publicly come out on … what else? … Youtube. The characters he plays may be grating, but Lucas is adorable.

Lily has stated that she may get married to her long time partner. She was asked many years ago to come out and she didn't. But, everyone knew of her sexuality and knew her partner. About 15 years ago, I was lucky enough to have a dinner with you after the Tony awards. She was lovely and very entertaining. I admit I have always liked her even before I met her and I even like her movies that didn't do well, like the one where you was a sister with Bette Midler. It is great that so many people are now feeling more and more comfortable in sharing with others about their sexuality.

Interesting to read how the Brazilian partner of the Guardian journalist, who exposed the mass surveillance programmes of the US government and interviewed Edward Snowden, was detained as he passed through London's Heathrow Airport. The UK government has, of course, been an eager collaborator for decades in this mass surveillance. Perhaps the story also serves as a timely reminder to us all that our electronic devices and storage media may be seized at the border for the authorities to inspect for an extended period. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/10251337/Partner-of-Glenn-Greenwald-held-under-Terrorism-Act.html
