Chinese New Year is on Monday, January 23d, and decorations are everywhere in Bangkok, which has a large Chinese population. I plan to go to Chinatown today. Last weekend it was quite festive and will no doubt be more so today. The local mall, hardly your basic strip mall, but an extravagant ode to luxury, is having a show this afternoon featuring Chinese dancers, acrobats, and Chinese opera performances. So, Happy New Year to all. Give your local Chinese friend a hug and tell him Gung Hay Fat Choy.

A Chippendales dancer has let the world know he is out and proud! Jaymes Vaughan, the lead singer and emcee for the fabulous male revue came out on the pages of magazine, QVegas. While he was already out to his family and friends, Jaymes wanted to be public about his sexuality so he could serve as a role model as one of the few openly gay entertainers in Vegas.

New Jersey Governor Chris Christie: "The New Jersey Giants will win today. The only thing that's NY about them is the logo on their jerseys." LOL I think it will be a Giants / Patriots Superbowl in two weeks. And I predict the Patriots will win.

Megaupload site wants assets back, to fight charges By Jeremy Pelofsky | Reuters – 2 hrs 19 mins ago WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Internet website Megaupload.com, shut down by authorities over allegations that it illegally peddled copyrighted material, is trying to recover its servers and get back online, a lawyer for the company said on Friday. The company and seven of its executives were charged in a 5-count, 72-page indictment unsealed on Thursday accusing them of engaging in a wide-ranging and lucrative scheme to offer material online without compensating the copyright holders. Authorities in New Zealand arrested four of those charged, including one of its founders,…

Lifetime Television tonight aired the Drew Peterson story as played by Rob Lowe. He's getting fairly good reviews for this role. This guy is a slime ball. It's amazing what he has gotten away with so far.

God is eating dinner alone. Eli Manning approaches the table and God asks, "What do you believe?" Manning says, "I believe in hard work, and in staying true to family and friends." God can't help but see the goodness of Manning and offers him a seat to his left. Tim Tebow walks up and God says, "What do you believe?" Tebow says, "I believe in your total goodness, your love and generosity, and that you have given all to mankind." God is greatly moved by Tebow's eloquence, and offers him a seat to his right. Finally, Tom Brady comes over to the table: God asks, "And you, Tom, what do you believe?" Brady replies, "I believe that you're in my seat." MY prediction fo…

There are a few movies I"m really looking forward to and "Dark Shadows" is one of them. It is going to be released on May 11, 2012 in the US. Johnny Depp playing Barnabas Collins is just an amazing thought in and of itself.

This could have been a very bad clip, but NO!! Obama nailed the famous Al Green song "Let's Stay Together". I want to hear more! Maybe since there are no age limits on X Factor, Obama can be a contestant next year. . .

I'm sorry for posting this topic to "beer bar", but I cannot to start topic in "Comments and suggestions". Mainly it will be about new layout. I will show you what I see now (fig.1). If you are wondering where all adv. are - they are cuted by adblocker: coz they are slow loading and too "pushy" - even with 1200 pix height they take more than 50% of screen (+header). In general words - it is wasting of the page's space. As well I'm wondering about forum's width - it is only 762 px (app. +\- 3 px). So, mainly visitors are watching blank space on screen. In past it was OK - old spacing btw elements, made forum more packed with info. But with new layout it…

Hot on the heels of Hong Kong’s second airline, Hong Kong Airlines, confirming an order for no less than ten Airbus superjumbo A380s, some Qantas engineers are calling for more detailed inspection of the wings after tiny cracks were discovered on the wing surfaces of several Qantas A380s. The cracks have also surfaced in two Singapore Airlines and one Emirates aircraft. http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-01-06/minor-cracks-found-on-a380-wings/3760656 Qantas engineers, though, are calling for inspections to be extended to the wing-rib attachments as soon as possible rather than during the routine four year overhauls. http://www.smh.com.au/travel/travel-inciden…

If you've been under a rock on the Internet and not heard, the US government is moving ever-towards being nothing but corporate toadies, next week it's a bill that would have grave repercussions for the Internet (worldwide!) and this forum in particular. Entire sites would be shut down or formidably taken off the Internet (via DNS blocking) if they failed to kowtow to any and all copyright notifications immediately and without reasonable opportunity for question or appeal. It is basically a bunch of media corporations pulling a "recording industry", trying to enact/enforce crippling laws instead of keeping up with the times, to their eventual doom. But in the mea…

Lady Gaga & Harvard start the "Born This Way" Foundation http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/01/19/lady-gaga-launches-born-this-way-foundation_n_1217701.html?ref=gay-voices&ir=Gay%20Voices http://bornthiswayfoundation.org/ Lady Gaga will officially launch her Born This Way Foundation on February 29 during a celebration at Harvard University. The foundation, which she co-founded with her mother Cynthia Germanotta, was formed to promote youth self-confidence and help stop bullying. “My daughter’s foundation was born out of her passion to create a better world where people are kinder and nicer to one another and are accepted for who they are, regardless of how diff…

I have been at AVN show in Vegas this week. It is a huge event. I don't know how many booths are set up but it takes up 3 big rooms at the Hard Rock. In all that, there are 2 tiny gay booths. Both were for dvd porn companies and very nice guys but I'd say that is less than 1 percent of the people there. Why? Helix use to go. I think Rentboy was once there. What happened to all the gay sites that use to go to these events?

Could GLEE get any gayer this week? Wedding Bell Blues made anyone else pine just one more time for Marilyn McCoo and Florence Larue? Amber and Chord's duet of Summer Lovin' from Grease? Synchronized swimming? Yes, a G-D synchronized swim number starring Mr. Chord Overstreet? A Busby Berkeley-inspired aquatic folly? So, so MGM'ish. Some really wonderfully-scripted bitch slaps? The Bieste eloping with Cooter and Sue settling for David Boreanaz? Fun direction by Eric Stoltz? Emma's acceptance? Rachel's...? The truth about Finn's dead dad? Interesting episode and worth the wait.
