Living abroad doesn’t have to lead to homesickness. That’s especially true for people who have relocated to New Zealand, Australia or South Africa. These are the three nations where it’s easiest to befriend locals, learn the local language, integrate into the community and fit into the new culture, according to the results of HSBC’s Expat Explorer Survey, released last month. From Focus World and director/star James Franco, a film about visionary gay poet Hart Crane, who lived a life of beauty, passion, and tragedy. Hart Crane was one of the most important voices in American poetry -- but lived a life with as much turmoil as passion. From his early life to his journeys from New York, Cuba, and Paris, Crane's story and that of the loves that defined him is told with imaginative empathy, and with a no holds barred performance -- in a film as introspective, rebellious, heartbreaking, and honest as Crane himself.

NBC is desperate for a hit. Now they are trying with "The Firm" based on John Grisham's novel. Unfortunately it premiered on Sunday opposite the Steelers/Broncos football game that garnered over 42 million viewers (before they count DVR addons). But this 2 hour premiere was pretty good. For a limited time you can download it on iTunes for free: The Firm - The Firm, Season 1 - http://itun.es/iLW5FR I actually thought it was pretty good re-introduction to Mitch McDeere. I think I will be watching during it's regular time slot this Thursday at 10PM on NBC. (Boy do I sound like a PR person for NBC or what?)

I stumbled upon this show while channel surfing late last night. Its on HBO and keep in mind I only saw the last few minutes. I don't know exactly what its about other than one Asian boy is a popular skater who is gay and yells I'm gay before he starts his tricks (thats skating tricks ) His mother who looks like a cross dresser to me is his manager. Another boy made these weird gloves for his friend to wear so he would not be able to wank off all the time lol. Here is a preview clip I found: And this looks like the site. Any of you guys watch this series?

French fans of "Star Wars" will soon be able to show their preference for either the noble Jedi or Darth Vader's dark side simply by ordering a burger. Quick, a European fast-food chain that's similar to McDonald's, is rolling out a promotion from Jan. 31-March 5, tying in to the Feb. 8 release of "Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace" in 3-D. The entire story and other pics of the various burgers here!

A couple have been mentioned, and I do visit After Elton and Towleroad occasionally. But the one I check every time I come online (in private mode), even though there's not always new stuff, is Bill in Exile. The name is from the past but the blogger is a fascinating ex-military guy that usually finds the best damn stuff. I also, I shyly say, usually scan the stuff Daddy finds. I don't care for a lot of the stuff that goes on around him but he aggregates some great stuff I am glad to have seen... when he's not on a vacation stretching to 3+ weeks now... What related site do you guys check religiously?

Court: Oklahoma can't enforce Sharia law ban By Robert Boczkiewicz | Reuters – 10 hrs ago DENVER (Reuters) - A federal appeals court upheld an injunction against a voter-approved ban on Islamic law in Oklahoma on Tuesday, saying it likely violated the U.S. Constitution by discriminating against religion. A three-member panel of the Denver-based U.S. Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled unanimously that the rights of plaintiff Muneer Awad, a Muslim man living in Oklahoma City, likely would be violated if the ban on Sharia law takes effect. The decision upholds the ruling of a lower federal court. "While the public has an interest in the will of the voters being carrie…

ARTICLE HEADLINE: Dear Customer Who Stuck Up For His Little Brother You thought I didn't really notice. But I did. I wanted to high-five you. Yesterday I had a pair of brothers in my store. One was maybe between 15 and 17. He was a wrestler at the local high school. Kind of tall, stocky and handsome. He had a younger brother, who was maybe about 10 to 12 years old. The only way to describe him was scrawny, neat, and very clean for a boy his age. They were talking about finding a game for the younger one, and he was absolutely insisting it be one with a female character. I don't know how many of y'all play games, but that isn't exactly easy. Eventually, I helped the bro…

I think anyone who take the bible literally is nuts. This is why I'm anti-religion. These stories were written by men to try to put a religious view on order in the world many years ago and that's all. So take the stories and lessons as that and nothing more, please. kthx

This is probably the worst possible casting I could ever think happening. I will definitely boycott this movie if this is true. Would you waste 2 hours or 4 hours of your life to watch Lindsay Lohan play Elizabeth Taylor on Lifetime Television? NOT ME. http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/2012/01/lindsay-lohan-to-play-elizabeth-taylor-for-lifetime.html
