Which boutique and big brand hotels have you tried in Sāo Paulo and Rio that allowed customers to bring in guests to the room with minimal questions?

I have not seen much info on Costa Rica here, so I wrote up a report about a trip I took several years ago. I checked as I was writing, and most of the info still seems to be relevant (places are still in operation, etc.) Prices may have changed, of course. Went to Lagoa last night, their first night open after about a month. Hours are Noon- 7pm but let most stay until 8pm. Was the busiest I think 've seen it in the new space. Apparently it has just been formally ruled that a condo corporation can restrict unit owners from renting their property on Airbnb, etc. Parenthetically, this same rule was recently incorporated into my building’s bylaws; it is not a new trend. Just spent ten great, very warm days in sunny Cartagena, Colombia. Highly recommend at least three days to see one of the most beautiful cities in South America. Inside the walls of the Spanish colonial old town are block after block of colorful, elegant houses, along with excellent restaurants and cafes often with live Latin music.
