For the first 50 or so trips to Rio going back to 2001, I always have stayed in Hotels, since 2003 the The Atlantico Hotel in Copacabana. But...as the Atlantico has become more run down and the rates have continues to climb, the incentive of it being one of the few hotels to allow "guests" back to your room waned! Does anyone know a good motel to take a guy to in Rio? I mean a motel that's either "gay-friendly" or very discreet and out of the way (but still nice inside)? Some of the guys I know or want to take with me are embarrassed to be seen going in a motel, and frankly I'm shy too. I've often had staff give me dirty looks and it's unpleasant.
