Frankly, Piers Morgan is just another TROLL. He's nothing more than an egotistical, misogynist, perhaps racist asshole.
he used to be friends with Trump, that says it all doesn't it....

yeah, I'm no fan of really big, for the reason @RockHardNYC mentions: you can't really properly suck it, which is no fun for both parties. An "average" size, on the other hand, it both suckable and still big enough to give pleasure in the bottom's hole.

Good report @TotallyOzand great to hear things are coming back to life! The pic of Soi 4 looked quiet but nice to see some people out enjoying the evening.
Did you happen to walk by DJ Station/Soi 2? Haven’t heard much about how they’ve been doing. It’s one of my favorite places and hope it makes it through the shutdown.for an update on that see the other thread about Soi 4. Soi 2 hopping this last weekend.

It only takes one carrier.....remember the boxing stadium outbreak last year? I am genuinely astonished and , while pleased that life is returning to gay area, fearful that with such behaviour restrictions will soon be back in place. And just when I was beginning to think about a summer visit.
Yes of course everything you said is correct. But I guess people have become, well, complacent about these things here. Yes the boxing stadium was a big story then. But such behavior as you see in the picture is not new, it has prevailed in Soi 2 for many many months before the most recent outbreak, and nothing happened. Then nightlife was closed again, now back open so people just go back to what they did before when there was no fallout.

I have really enjoyed this site. It is a shame they are closing down.

that page doesn't exist any more. Hopefully that means it's not true

the photo is from last night. Yes, no masks and no distancing. TV-screens everywhere in the bars mandating social distancing and masks, but not being followed. No fun when having fun like this, right? Staff were wearing masks though.
Of course I noticed and wondered, too, but then again with an almost nonexistent incidence in Thailand the real risk is probably really low too.

I was in Soi 4 and then Soi 2 last night and confirm things were BUSY. Stranger bar packed as in "normal" times, with people spilling out into the Soi. Soi 2 was busy already after 11pm, and got packed around midnight. Also almost just like in "normal" times, minus the gazillions of (mostly Chinese, in recent years) tourists. That missing contingent of patrons meant that the upper floors of DJ Station were empty and everything just happened on ground floor level, where it was busy indeed.

Sorry to double post this, but since it's not a gay event, it might even fit better in the Beer Bar than the Gay Cambodia subforum, and attract more traffic here.
This event is streaming live now and will continue all day today (as it will last a full 24 hours):
My original post about this is here:

It's nice to see a proper Mini.
Having owned one for several years, I have no desire to repeat the experience. Borrowing one for a 15 minute drive would be nice though.
They're fun to drive though, like a go-kart. My brother's very first car was a Mini, and my first two cars were quasi-Minis, meaning they were Innocenti's which had a Mini chassis and engine, but an Italian, boxy-looking body. The handling of the Innocenti thus was the same as a Mini, but due to the bigger body and a back hatch with foldable backseat it offered much more space and better seating

many girlie bars in Pattaya have invented a new covid-induced business model, which may indeed survive well into the post-covid era given obvious international demand. They are Facebook live chats. They have phones mounted on tripods with a circular light around it on the tables and the girls live-chat with their customers around the world. Customers then buy them drinks as if they were there, and give tips, often to elicit some kind of "special" show, which seems never very "special" at all as it's all out in the open; just some silly dance moves or whatever. Payment via Paypal. This leads to the interesting phenomenon taht they show ZERO interest on potential customers passing by as foot traffic.
This is bad for said foot traffic guys, but obviously a boon to the girls and the bars at this time. This model has not reached Bangkok, at least not in Patpong. Dunno about Cowboy or Nana. And definitely not the boy bars.

I went to Dreamboy yesterday and around 70% seated
wow 70% is almost "shockingly" impressive. Great news of course. One wonders who were all these customers? Thais? Men/women? Expats? From which countries (Farangland / China-Taiwan / Japan)?

The air in Bangkok looks so clear!
that's true, so far this year we had hardly any pollution issues in BKK. Lucky winds I suppose, as the crop burning is in full swing around the country and Chiang Mai is VERY badly affected again right now.

exactly my thoughts, great project after the Khmer rouge horrors

Hotmale beer bar and their new sister bar downstairs Midnight are also open, of course.
This thread should be in the Gay Bangkok forum, not the Beer Bar, though @TotallyOz

Not sure if members here know of the Phare Circus project in Siem Reap. I first came across it in an article in one of the free gay magazines in BKK (such as Thai Puan, can't remember which one it was though). It is a project that helps with the education of local kids and getting them off the streets through arts and circus. I have visited the show in their actual circus tent in Siem Reap in March 2018. Great project, great show and great guys (and girls), excellent performance.
Read about them here https://phareps.org/the-organization/ and https://phareps.org/our-history/ and much more there.
Of course Covid has thrown them in crisis financially and they try everything to raise funds. I have already donated some in 2020. This weekend they do an attempt at a Guinness Book of Records record for the longest continuous circus show (24 hours plus 1 minute) and will stream it live https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xY9jOQisUt8.
As part of that they host a virtual gala at two different times (to cater to different global time zones) on Sunday (10am and 8pm Asian time).
If you have time, tune it and watch the show and the gala (all free) and possibly consider a donation (I will donate again). I think it's a worthwhile cause and we actually get to ogle super fit guys performing.
Disclaimer: this is not a gay project, but that doesn't matter to me. I still out it in "gay Cambodia" as it's the only dedicated Cambodian sub forum.

And still pony up for $100,000 Covid medical insurance?
That's one of the mysteries of the current quarantine plus insurance regime: as someone living here, would I need to buy that useless insurance when I leave the country and come back? I'm not going to try for some time but the issue might come up later this year if they keep the insurance requirement. As always, I'll just wait and see what happens. No point to specualte until then, TiT.

However, I would be surprised if all bars close then.
Correct. Technically they close, but you can still hang around if already there. Had that experience about a week ago at Hotmale beer bar.
Also, G.O.D. is open, and the bouncer told me they are closing at 2am. $$ and ownership play an obvious role....

in reality, risk wise, where's difference between random strangers visiting us in our room and random new arrivals to the hotel with booked accommodation ?
Reality, risk- or other wise, only plays a passing role in making decisions and rules in Thailand, as we all know. For the simple reason of TiT.

interesting. hasn't happened to me at all. Especially around this time I wouldn't expect it, isn't that sort of scam "reserved" for tourists, of which there are close to zero now (with z909's exception)?

Senso seems to have closed down unfortunately, according to Google.
Senso indeed continues to be closed. The same old "temporarily closed" sign, just a sheet of paper, tacked to the door and starting to fall off.

That's great news from Malaysia. I admit I am somewhat (very pleasantly!!) surprised, that a court there would stand up to the religious powers and tell them to stay out of people's private lives.
Congratulations @spoon! And maybe you can comment on how surprising (or not) this is.

International travel, especially going back to Europe to see friends, But only if that's possible in the summer, will not go in the winter! Other than that, life has been normal here for me since about June, with a brief and negligible interruption in January due to the new outbreak. Been doing more domestic trips than usual since it was relaxed in July. Samui, Chiang Mai (weeklong road trip around the province), Khao Lak, Samui again. Stayed at superb 5star resorts at like 20% (sometimes less) their pre-covid rates. In BKK itself, other than mask wearing (I couldn't care less about that, it's hardly even a nuisance) life is good.
