  1. Thank u OP for this useful information. Need to buy sufficient booze (alcohol) before Thursday night!
  2. Hello: I am not familiar with the bar scene in Bangkok and need some recommendation for the best go go bars etc., or indeed massage places for me in the silom/suriwong areas. My preference is for the slim twink /fem/gay types who are bottoms. Be most appreciative if anyone here can give me some suggestions. Thank you so much in advance.
  3. For anyone puzzled by the OP's posting; it is fake news by him and a failed attempt at an April Fool joke. (Even though the contents of the link may be accurate). A prime example of someone who thinks he is amusing but who is not funny at all and who displays gross poor taste. The true news here: http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-43614408
  4. OP: the dispatch is entertaining and informative, thank u.
  5. My post(#12 dated14 November) suggested to you to seek urgent medical treatment from a specialist, others here are now agreeing and suggest a dermatoligist. I cannot understand why you have not done so; blood, skin and other tests ought to quickly be able to determine the cause and give the appropriate treatment etc and perhaps advise on what is needed for your clothes and personal property. In Thailand easy to get a specialist doctor same day . Not expensive. Try Bangkok Pattaya Hospital if you are in Pattaya or Bumrungrad if in BKK. You owe it to yourself (and others that may get infected from you) to do everything to sort out the problem and simply surfing around the internet or seeking 'advice' from forum members-who are in many cases using guesswork- and who are often clueless has just made your problem worse. I am starting to lose sympathy.....
  6. OP asks: Does anyone know how to delete this post? I have no idea how to delete them on here or is it not possible? -Well would of thought if you ask the mod's they will do it for you.. but hey , we want to know the outcome and what happens after your free stay and if the problem is solved!
  7. OP: You are totally blameless for what happened and at the same time courageous in persisting with doing something about it and sharing the matter with us here. It ought to certainly encourage the establishment concerned to make more efforts to avoid it happening to others... And they ought to help you more. Unless I have misunderstood what you are saying if you still have the problem on your body, it is vital u try to get rid of it asap and make sure none of your belongings are infected which could in turn cause re-infection. Good luck.
  8. OP: Thank you for your informative posting. IMO, Surely you must consult a specialist doctor and get the strongest possible medicine to get rid of the problem from your body. Try Bumrungrad hospital. Discard any property that may have been infected. Maybe: The establishment concerned which gave rise to the problem ought to be informed of this thread and post here what they are doing about it or give their comments.
  9. Interesting thread OP so thanks for posting it. Of course everyone is different and may have their own particular medical concerns. That said, I agree that giving up smoking surely must help; though the irony of becoming non smoking is a persons appetite may increase. And following on from that one factor that can be beneficial is never over eat and try to usually under eat. Good protein, fruit and veg + minimal carbs. Coupled with sufficient sleep, plenty of happiness and having as much sex as possible (use it or risk losing it) then these can all help as the years go by.
  10. If in Thailand the OP's link is blocked; but can get it and read it via VPN. In my opinion Andrew Drummond is a brave journalist and has exposed some vile criminals etc who thrive in Thailand. One of the dangers of trying to tell the truth in LOS is that amongst other things money can buy anything including bribing those in power plus the defamation laws allow a truth-teller to be prosecuted successfully even when speaking the truth. The golden rule in Thailand is stay under the radar, do not invest here and trust no one.
  11. Wow what a selfish person! Shows why if possible best to avoid travelling on public transport....
  12. And have heard stories of retirees being unable to meet the financial conditions for their retirement extension due to the drop in the value of the pound.
  13. I agree with Vessey. None are my type but if I had to choose one it would be Mr Thailand.
  14. OP: Enjoyed your pictures: so good job!
  15. If not visited before try the Ancient City for a day out: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ancient_Siam Can hire a golf cart to go around the site. Best to go on week days and non public holidays.
  16. I am also reading that for this new 10 year Visa the insurance cover needed is not only insurance as an in patient, but also insurance for out patient too.
  17. KT writes: What we really need is a "QUIT BORING ME" button. -Excellent idea!
  18. Yes I agree with the above. Fossil makes what for most of us is a harmless joke and GB tries to slam him down with a very unpleasant remark about him being a coward. Likewise I will steer well clear of Elephant bar as it seems to attracts a lot of bitchy poisonous old queens.
  19. OP : I concur with the advice re staying at a gay place; and like it or not most decent hotels will have a 24 hour reception. Just grin and bear it...... Some straight people have told me about a variation of the same kind of attitude as you do. When they bring in a little creature from a beer bar etc., and go from the front entrance of the hotel to get to their room, they call it: "the walk of shame".

    Fraud warning

OP: Many thanks for your posting. Its a lesson for us all to be extra careful with security etc., especially for ATM/debit cards.
  21. Mostly paid by B/F's savings and contributions from relatives and friends; plus a decent gift from me too. All those who attend the ceremony usually give a monetary gift in an envelope which can offset much of the cost.
  22. My B/F recently finished as a monk. Over 500 guests attended. Costs that needed to be paid included : invitation cards, pay for food (pigs) and drinks, seating, tents, tables, chairs, music. fees to the monks, costumes (monk apparel) stage, flowers etc etc etc. Cost was around 140,000 baht.
  23. In my opinion you would be better going to Phuket than Chiang Mai. Stay at somewhere like Aquarius guest house, which is gay. U can goggle their web page. Nice rooms and in the heart of the scene. But Royal Paradise is ok (though often full with noisy Chinese tour groups) and a short few paces walk to the gay area. Whilst in Phuket the bars are nothing as good as Pattaya and Bangkok , there are adequate gay go-go and dance places; preferable to anything in CM. Beautiful beaches in Phuket and no problem swimming in the sea. Great seafood too. And it you are smart with your schedule, plenty of things to do day time and night time.
  24. I appreciate all the helpful replies; many thanks!
