Wouldn't this be in violation of some antitrust or anti-competition agreement?  I mean when the German guy sold Dreamboys to the Thai guy, he wasn't selling bar space but the bar's brand, image and goodwill, which include the boys, mamasans, uniqueness of shows, etc, at least for a certain period of time, no?

Oh dear.  This is not the first time you've made a scathing, reprehensible and grossly exaggerated generalisation about "most Thais". For someone who claims to be a scientist, your assertions are ironically unscientific and not based on solid empirical evidence that would justify its application on "most Thais".  From reading your posts, I gather that your interactions with Thai people have been limited in scope and diversity.  You judge the people you meet in terms of how they would fit in your mold of how they should be instead of taking them as they are.  You seem to lack empathy for people and their circumstances and are quick to judge them based on some biased, singular yardstick and fail to acknowledge that every individual is made up of many parts with their own gifts and flaws. On Sawatdee Network, you described 95% of the gay Thais you've had contact with as "stupid, lazy, greedy creatures". I've told you this before and I will tell you again:  you should ask yourself why you seem to have an inordinate amount of negative encounters with Thai boys when the experiences of others have been quite the opposite.  After all, you are the common denominator in these encounters.
And lastly, be careful what you wish for - if your average Thai guy turns into your average Singaporean, Hong Konger or Japanese, it's unlikely that he'll  give you the time of day.

There's another issue here which no one seems to have picked up on.  Thai notes bear the image of the king and any form of disrespect towards that image can be construed as lese majeste.  People have been arrested for accidentally stepping on his image and there was one incident where a drunken farang threw his change on the bar floor and stepped on it because he was upset about one thing or other and was sent to prison for it.  I know these are extreme cases but it doesn't hurt to be mindful of these things especially in the current political climate.

Wow!  I haven't logged in in a while and am amazed at how the discussion in this and other threads keep going in a convivial and collegial fashion.  Excellent job on the Soi Twilight updates.  I still have a lot of catching up to do but I just wanted to say, "Well done, guys, and keep it going!"

They had this act at Hotmale last November.  I asked one of the captains whether the three guys were wearing body suits because the artwork was quite intricate to have been painted on the go go dancers in just a matter of minutes but he assured me that it was painted on.  The act was OK; it would have been sexier if they had picked the guys with the sexiest bodies but they seemed to have been in short supply that night but there were plenty of huge cocks!  One of the dancers had a substantial amount of lower abdominal fat which seemed more pronounced in silhouette form but overall the show was alright and the captains at this bar were some of the friendliest and least intrusive that we had encountered.

I'm not sure what you mean by a "new stream of clientele" but we were there recently (post Songkran) and the gay bars relocated in Patpong, the bars in Silom Soi 4, Silom Soi 2 and Moonlight were packing them in with mostly China and other Asia customers. A fun, vibrant and occasionally boisterous atmosphere and we enjoyed ourselves.  Didn't see any farang lounging around like Cixi waiting to be fanned, fed and fawned over.

@DivineMadman I didn't try and piss in anyone's punchbowl. I was simply pointing out:
    1. There is much better value in Bkk away from the international chains, I never mentioned projection or anything else, that YOU are projecting onto what I said!
    2. Expectations change when the boy arrives in a hotel, suddenly the 2500 ST that he agreed with you at the bar feels cheap when he arrives at the 8000B a night hotel (W being 8000, Raya being the 3000 option), this in turn may lead to a lesser performance as they are feeling short changed. Of course this is not every boy, but with some it happens
    3. On the bar point I simply pointed out that as the OP has already stated he is a bottom he would have better luck in Screw boys for finding a top twink type guy
Seems you are very tetchy this morning, the OP is a newbie and I think its only fair that he receives balanced advice of all our combined experiences

Wow.  So if someone stays at Le Meridien they're "precious."  Sad that you feel the need to criticize people like that.  It's the usual shit about people projecting their money issues onto others.  If someone wants to spend their money on X, Y or Z, they should be free to do so.  Can't imagine how this negativity makes you or the world a happier or better place.  Do you really walk by nice hotels thinking such bad thoughts about the strangers who stay there????
And if the customer has left the bar and he and his guy has already set on the standard short-time or long-time tip, expectations are set and that's s non-issue.  Maybe the guy will like being taken to a Le Meridien or Crowne Plaza or Raya.
Also, there are tons of twinks who happily both or top, even at Classic Boys.  If the OP twinks, why not take him at his word.  If the OP wants to stay at the W, why piss in the punchbowl.

Can't disagree with most the comments above except for the idea of staying in overpriced hotels like Le Meridian, Sofitel, W etc.
A night in this type of hotel can be 5-8000B a night and in my experience leads to an inflated expectation of a higher tip
And lets face it in bkk the difference between a 3000 and 8000 a night hotel is pretty negligible, unless of course you are precious and need to feel extra special or have points to spend
Also you state above that you are a bottom, but are seeking a "twink" - most of the twinky boys in the bars are (raging) bottoms... I a guessing that you are looking for "manly" or gay tops? if so I don't think Classic boys is the best place for you. Perhaps Screw boys would be better?

Firstly welcome to the forum, delighted to have another member here especially with a Bangkok trip right on your horizon.
Most of the places you mentioned are high end boutique hotels and they are usually very accommodating with overnight guests. In fact I know someone who conducted a sexy bedroom photo shoot at the W with several gogo boys! Ditto all major five star hotels. As poster above mentioned, gay friendly establishments may also be a good option. The Raya is popular here with forum members for being close to the action, as is Tarntawan.
I am pretty confident Soi Twilight and Soi 4 will be there when you visit so no worries about that all!
Fully agree you should check out Soi 2, GOD (beware many cute boys here are money boys and equally require payment) and I would add Fake Club to the list though this is best with company - at a pinch, I like to off one or two bar boys to be my wingmen rather than go solo. Or if you want a classier venue, Maggie Choo’s on Sunday night - lots of foreigners and nicely turned out Asian tourists.
Jupiter and Moonlight have their fair share of attractive twinks too. I would recommend not neglecting them, and take in a show at one of the larger establishments too so you have basis for comparison between all the bars.

Not being a Moonlight mamasan (contrary to how it may appear sometimes haha) and also not knowing Tee personally, I don’t have all the answers
From what I was told, there are house models (they have a monthly salary, are required to show up X number of days, are made to come in if there aren’t enough models on any particular day and can get fired for irregular attendance) and freelance models who come in to work when they aren’t otherwise employed, or on special occasions when they want a larger crop of boys. There is a dedicated “model manager” who does the scheduling, organised costumes, rearrange the acts depending on which models show up for work.
Some models take offs, some don’t - it depends on them personally, regardless whether they are house or freelance. Much of this also depends on whether they like the customer or not which is why Moonlight Line will not confirm if you can “have” a particular boy. But with the house models, they have a clearer grasp of their schedule or can message them to find out if they are coming into work on a specific night so it is easier to find out if you will see So-and-so. For example they will confirm that Babe or Smarch or Nicky is working on Friday and you can request to meet them.
Personally I have not seen Tee in the line up in recent months, in person or in the videos. His social media mentions that he’s stopped working at Siam Niramit, so it does appear likely he could be back at Moonlight. And has a girlfriend LOL. But if you really want to meet him, I suggest you message Moonlight with your travel dates and ask if he will be working on any of the days. The other option is to go to Moonlight, make friends with one of the other models who were there during his time and ask them to call him for you.  This only works if you just want to make friends, if you have your heart set on an off then probably best just to pick one of the very attractive floor boys (or look for #32 at Jupiter, who reminds me of a younger, more innocent version of Tee).

Just a guess, hank75, but did the camera capture any images of the audience during the live broadcast?  They may have taken down the live feed to protect their audience's privacy although it's not too difficult to record a live feed if anyone really wanted to.  Moreover, things may be said/shown during a live show which they may not want to showcase for posterity although I suppose a bit of editing could take care of that.

If this overly long and very graphic thread's intent is to get people to visit that normally do not visit many new bars, well, let me tell you, it is working. My interest is peaked (hard to do) and I will be giving this place another try.

    Vinapu,
Google "Babe Bang Magazine".  It's all there and I give him a 9.
But I really really hope the shoot was worthwhile for him financially and doesn't damage his prospects because with his face and body he can have a very lucrative, long-term career as a companion of a wealthy Asian man or woman.  Now that I've seen his face more clearly (and just about everything else!), I wouldn't be surprised if he was hill tribe or Tai-yai.  Hot.
