You will be able to find fast internet. Some of the Airbnb apartments have high speed or even fiber. You can message the host of the place where you would like to stay and they will be able tell you the internet speed that they have in their apartment.

In the past, I resist the idea of being in an open relationship. Now, I'm more open to this idea. I've been in several LTR, and what I've noticed is that after several years, the intensity of sex becomes less and less, sometimes non existent. I know friends who are in LTR relationship that don't even have sex at all. They have the companionship but I think they are just having solo sex and not with each others. That is something I would not want.

Bringing an escort to your room will be less risky if you first meet them at the sauna. Still, prior to having them visit your hotel room, make sure you are very clear with what you want and the amount that you will pay for their visit.
There are some GPs that speak English and you can find them at the sauna. I think it is better to look for them in the sauna so that you can gauge how much English they speak. On Grindr, it may look like or they may say that they speak English but likely they are using a translator app or they just speak a few words and phrases.
I've been visiting RJ and SP since 2000. I find it easier to just meet and have fun with the guy at the sauna than go to all the trouble of bringing them to my room. Looking at some of the listings, it looks like it has old information. For example, Thor Cavalão is no longer in Rio. He was living in Madrid but has moved to London sometime this year. He goes by the name Rico Marlon.

I'm in Rio for the last 8 days and my observation is that 117 is still the place to go.
- The selections of guys at 117 are better. 202 is improving, however, compared from the last time I visited 5 months ago.
- 117 has a better layout. I like the three levels. Downstairs for steam room, sauna, and some suite. Upstairs for the suites. Bar, smoke room in the main level. What bothers me about 202 is that when you're making out with a guy in the suite, you cannot help but hear the dance music blasting from downstairs. Also, they seem to be playing the same set of music again and again. If you love the movie the Greatest Showman in the World then you will feel at home as the music from the movie is frequently played. At 117, this does not happen. You will not hear the dance music in your suite.
So of the 8 days, I went to 202 twice and the rest of the time I visited 117.
When one of the garoto asked me if I will come back the following day and I replied no, he immediately said that I will be at 117. He guessed right.
When I think of 202 right now, I still hear the Never Enough dance remix that they must have played at least 5 times when I was there.

It's free cabin on Tuesdays for Club 117. For Point 202, it's Monday or Wednesday. When I was there on a Monday, a garoto told me that the cabin is free. I haven't been there on a Wednesday yet, but I heard it's also free.

@Tartegogo, I think you will have a difficult time getting back to things, knowing that you will not be able to visit Rio again. This year, I end up visiting Rio two times, same as last year and the year before that. For me, my Rio trips make the stresses and craziness of life bearable. Maybe you can find a good excuse to return again. Have a good trip back home!

Thanks for the the details, @Tartegogo. I really enjoy reading your adventure. I wish I am still in Rio as I am now back in the freezing weather. I had similar experience in Buenos Aires. The guys there are always late. That's why last time I was there I end up cutting my trip short and went back to Rio. Now, Rio is my destination of choice, making it harder to visit any other places because I know I will not find similar guys that I like anywhere else. Enjoy your trip and keep writing about your adventures!
