  1. Thank you for the post bkkguy! I don't think most posters should impress anyone. It is an online community and we are fairly new. First impressions are good but to impress me, you have to be very consistent and reliable. I have a few that impress me: gaybutton, hedda and those that raise the bar to a different level of communication. I have some people that post sometimes but that I know personally that impress me: gaypattayan, rainwalker, sunny etc. I don't think the object of many posters is to impress someone. Most come for the information and the free flow of that information. When I find out about a new bar or a new event I share it with others. I wish all would do the same. That would make this board an amazingly informative place. As for your second comment: In all instances, Gay Thailand management shall be the final arbiter of what constitutes egregiously abusive conduct or when a member has crossed the line of
  2. "Those who'll play with cats must expect to be scratched." --Cervantes Not wanting a scratching myself, but the feud between posters from other boards should be left on the other board. We are not interested in the pissing contests and clawing here. While you may say that I am defending LMTU because I personally know him and like him, I am not defending him for that reason. He has been told countless times that his writing style is not up to graduate level marks. His speech shows that he is intelligent. Apparently, he does not care about his writing style or he just does this to piss you off and he posts other thoughts under a different moniker. In any case, since the feud with the Hatfields and the McCoys was left to a time past and a land far way, can you two do the same? Please. As for me, I will start removing nasty comments from all posters. Read the Message Center policies below. They will be enforced. Par of these policies state: "Code of Conduct: Gay Thailand membership is restricted to Adults Only. That Message Center members shall be expected to behave as adults is not an undue burden. The expected conduct standard for the Gay Thailand forums is the same as that observed everyday in society by adults in our neighborhoods, towns, and cities. It is based on straightforward mature behavior, civility and courtesy that you find in a neighborhood Pub or Tavern where neighbors and acquaintances joined by occasional strangers come together to socialize in good temper, to share conversation, and to hoist, in moderation, a glass of favorite beer or wine or a cup of coffee or tea. These forums are NOT presented for abusive arguing and name calling, score settling, thread stalking, or general cyberspace blood sport for the chronically bored. As in any Pub or Tavern, an egregiously abusive or chronically problematic customer (member) shall be banned from further post participation. In all instances, Gay Thailand management shall be the final arbiter of what constitutes egregiously abusive conduct or when a member has crossed the line of
  3. >I found it a bit ironic that an entire >thread could disappear, be edited or deleted and return. Please don't find it ironic. I took the thread down as I knew a post was not acceptable and I wanted to ask TY and Barry what to do with it. We discussed it, deleted the one post and returned the thread. It is really that simple. It may have been the first time this was done here but it won't be the last. We are trying to create a community where people feel free to post and to interact. We are not now nor will be ever be interested in a place where bullies rule, meanness prevails and vendettas emerge. If that is what one is looking for, they have come to the wrong place. This is a gentlemen's club and the rules are posted very clearly with a link on every page of the site.
  4. We have locked this thread. It was going on a fast downhill sloop. When a moderator sees a thread that is not acceptable, the policy is to move the thread to the moderator's area for discussion. We then decide what we will do with the thread. In this case, we are restoring the thread minus one comment. The thread is now locked. Please see Tampa Yankee's post about What Happens in Vegas stays in Vegas as well as our Message Center Policy at the bottom of every page of the site. http://www.maleescortreview.com/index.php?...e_center_policy Thanks for your cooperation gentlemen! Oz
  5. I agree that there are several problems to it. We were thinking of only allowing registered users who are logged in to vote. Perhaps, this will help a bit more. Or, are you suggesting a more detailed approach?
  6. Wonderful post. I am living life now on your adventures. Thank you for sharing! Can you give a bit more detail when you have time? Enjoy Sao Paulo. Have Danilo take you to the Italian place he took me to last time I was there. It was wonderful! Can't wait to hear more! Oz
  7. >He made derogatory comments about OZ on HB's site simply >because he didn't agree with him. As you point out he made a >demand for Barry to resign as moderator at HB's forum. I remember when my grandfather died. I come from a very close family. We all got along and had a great time with each other. Then, the death. The hurt feelings. The anger. The sadness. Things were said and done that would never have been imagined before. The will left things even worst off for all concerned. There was big money involved. (For us poor SWTPT) The family split. Many did not talk to others for months, and then years. This was over 22 years ago. I still have not seen part of my family in over 20 years. All of this over a few thousand dollars. When things like death occur, you say and do things you normally would not do. While Hoo was not family to all, he was like family to all the frequented his board. After his death, things were said and done that were not nice. As adults, it is time to move forward. I have no anger at all toward Lucky or BigGuy or anyone else that made comments that were not nice. The past is behind us. LEAVE it there! Move on. Perhaps, you all will find a way to have a better time with life.

  9. Chance encounters are always the best! Yesterday, I arrived in Pattaya for a holiday. I got there and there were really one 2 guys I was looking forward to seeing. I did not arrive to my residence until 3am. I was tired and drained. When I woke up I wandered to the best Thai Restaurant that I enjoy eating at on a regular basis, Salt and Pepper. I also went to a shop by the restaurant to get a large order of water bottles and Soda as they deliver and it saves money to buy from that distribution center. As I was checking out, one of the boys I wanted to see walked by. I was surprised to see him so early. He spent the afternoon with me and I had a great time with him. Last night, I met friends in Sunee and walked around. The only other guy I wanted to see was not at his bar and I told the Mamasan I was looking for him should he ever show in the next week while I am on holiday. I went to Crazy Dragon for a drink. The place is popping with boys. I had a great time and was amazed at the number of guys working there. After about 20 min, the Mamasan from the other bar walked in with the guy I was looking for. I was so happy to see him and it was very nice for the Mamaan to walk into another bar with a boy that no longer worked. She had called his brother and found him and brought him to me. Again, my night was made. I went to bed with a HUGE smile on my face. Just another reason they call this the Land of Smiles!
  10. Thanks for the article. I appreciate it. I have been a collector of Buddha for 3 years now and have built up a nice collection. I lend many of them to Libraries and schools for exhibit and education purposes. I was told that the above law relates to Thai Buddha's. If they come from outside of Thailand, the law is different. There are several well-known shops I but at in Chiang Mai and they come with authenticity documents and I have had several shipped over to my home and never had problem with them. I find many of them the most beautiful objects and I have learned a great deal about the religion by talking to the antiques dealers. Does anyone know of some really trustworthy antiques dealers in Pattaya? Thanks GayButton for the article.
  11. >He is drawn to quality. By his own account! My goodness. You whacked the nail on the head for me. Thank you for pointing out the obvious. It is so transparent to me now. >(So much for my resolve to let Rock alone. Start again!) :+ I have always been an admirer of Rock. I grew up with Southern Rock and Lynard Skynard. I finally grew into Heavy Metal and Kiss. Now, I am much cozier with 50 Cents. The one thing they all have in common, Rock is normally best played thunderously loud and the words oblivious to the spectators. See what I mean?
  12. LOL. Well, I am just so happy that he spends so much time here! It makes me happy to know he loves reading all the threads. We do appreciate his support.
  13. >I'll explain it all to you OZ right after you decide on your >next destination. :+ Now, that is a conundrum.
  14. >Agreed Deej. The COI is always a concern. Also this >situation has been discussed before at M4M and as I recall if >an escort was a paying client hiring another escort it was >accepted. If the escort reviewer was playing on someone >else's dime, it wasn't. OK Barry. Ok Deej. I am a bit slow. All these letters are getting confusing for me. COI, M4M, ISTR, MC. Perhaps I need a new stickie for my computer to keep track of it all. It took me a week to find out what ROFL and TIT stands for.
  15. >There isn't a "win-win" situation here. Someone will >always squeal. Deej, You are right. It is not a win-win situation. For me, a win-win situation is choosing between Taboo in Montreal and Future Boys in Bangkok. Now, that is a win-win situation.
  16. >Its rare that an >escort would actually hire another escort. I don't really think this is the case. When I ran an escort agency many moons ago, I told all my guys to hire at least once. That way, they would know what it is like to be on the other end of the stick. I know many escorts who hire and I also have a very good friend in NYC who has escorted for MANY years. He is also a well-known porn star. He hires weekly. He is in great shape and sexy. He says it is a lot easier to hire than to go to a bar. I know of escorts who are hired by 18 year olds. It is not often, but it does happen. Again, I had a friend in NYC who one of his regulars was an NYU student. He went to the boy's dorm room oten. While, I don't think all escort hire. I do think it is a good idea for them to try it at least once.
  17. >to become a contributing member of this community but I guess >it's been decided here that escorts aren't eligible to submit >reviews > >Oh well. You can contribue in many ways Scott. May I ask, how many reviews did you submit at M4M?
  18. Scott, Thanks for the post. We welcome you and hope you post more often. You are young. We learn as life ages us. I wish I knew what I know now when I was your age. If all my comments I made when I was your age were taken as law and unchangeable, I would not have survived. When you put yourself in the spotlight, many will talk. Many will say good things and many will say horrible things. It is part of being in the limelight. Don't let anything anyone says get you down. Do your job well. Life your life to your own happiness and don't worry about the rest. I go to bed each night with a smile on my face. I love my life and I have great fun every day. If I let the RockHard’s of the world get me down, I would be throwing a pity party often. I don’t. Why? He is insignificant to my life or me. I actually find him (or her) amusing in the way he plays his games with the minds of others. My feelings are not hurt with what he or others say. Many need to put others down to feel better themselves. Many need to make others appear inferior. It has always been that way and always will. You are intelligent and sexy. Many will envy you. Many will hate you. But, don’t let Rico or Rick or Roger Rabbit or anyone get to you. Read the words; shake your head and then move on. Not easy to do, but possible. ? Hugs, Oz
  19. LOL I have been accused of being a conspiracy theorist in the last week. So, I have decided to take the Oliver Stone approach. Your post gave me another chance for enlightenment. You seem to have a grasp on Rockhard. I don't think he is a new poster. It seems to me that he has been around for a while. What other characters does he play?

I think it comes built into every Mac. I love it. When I open my browners, it gives me all the newest news from a varitey of places and I can choose to click them or not. It also tells me the latest ITunes offerings etc. I have enjoyed having it a great deal. Speaking of Mac. Did you see their latest Quad Intel computer? That is fucking awsome!
  21. Your words were perfect. I hope all reads and heeds. Oz
  22. >But SA has constantly told us how he doesn't escort for the >money, he doesn't need it. For him it is fun, something to do, >a Hobby. Really? My apologies to you and to Scott. I really did not mean to offend him. As for me, I'll stick to knitting. I made this great afgan last week. It is a beautiful rainbow of colors.,
  23. >Find out if he Sucks as well as he Sucks up on the other site >and let us know.;-) Jesse, are you up to the task?
  24. A lot has to do with point of origin. When I book from Thailand to USA, it is about half of what the same trip costs coming the other way. What I did last time was book a one way and then when I got to Thailand, I got my return. If you use NWA, if you get a full coach fare, you can always change the dates for it. This only works well if you go over a few times a year. If you are ever trying to get upgrades on NWA you can always try 2-3 days in advance of a possible trip and they work. I usually book that way as most of the business class is booked until Toyota releases the seats. I always have luck 2 days before departure. Cathay Pacific has great deals going over there as well. I noticed that Singapore Air had great prices on Business Seats and the Thai Air has nice Premium Economy on its non-stop from NYC. It is 17 hours so not sure worth it for many but I want to try it one day. As for me, I am trying to decide between Brazil, Spain or Mexico as my next adventure.

    >What's the income generated for the owners of this site? And >the others that they own? The income generated from this site to date has been zero. The revenue generated from others sites I own is substantially more than zero. I hope this helps solve the mystery. Seriously, running a website is a business. It is much like the restaurant business. Many people dream of opening a website one day and making it the most popular in town. Most fail at it. There are thousands of sites that open up every day. There are about as many that close or just stay in cyber void. It is not as easy as most think and it is not as cheap as most think. To date, we have put in well over 75k in this site. Do we hope for a pay off one day? Of course. What happens if we don't get one? We keep going with the site as is. We hope to make money but if we don't, we are ready to live with that as an end result as well. For me, this was more something I felt I needed to do than something I had to do to make a living. Yes, we hope to make money. Yes, we are prepared if we don't. Yes, we will keep the site going in either case. Were you looking to invest? Oz
