Many thanks for your thoughtful responses, gents. I just assumed that anal sex is one of life’s great treasures that I’m missing out on, however I guess my follow-up question is...
Is anal sex so incredible that every gay man must experience it? Is it something you could easily live without?
It is an honor that I dream not of. Shakespeare

I urge everyone to give Jomtien Complex a try at least once during your next trip and judge for yourself. Between Jomtien Complex, Sunee Plaza, and Boystown, for me no question about it. Jomtien Complex is my preference and had been for a long time.
For me, who visits beer bars and go-go bars almost every night, I enjoy Sunee Plaza the most. Following that, Jomtien Complex and third on the list is Boyztown. Of course, if one only visits once in a while, then Jomtien Complex would be the first choice.

And how long would a flight from let’s say Amsterdam to Bangkok take in 1939, and at what cost compared to the average earnings?
Just asking.
No idea! Probably 7 days to complete the flights. Estimated cost $9000 to $18,000 USD in 2019 prices.

Had we all been born a century earlier, flying to Thailand would not have even been an option, so these are still relatively good times.
Not really! If born a century ago it would have been 1919; then give another 20 years until we reached age 20 and it would have been 1939. The first commercial flight was in 1924 on KLM.
We could have had lots of fun back in those days.

Was surprised to learn that among the common drugs administered prior to a colonoscopy is Fentanyl.

For many years the drug administered to me for a colonoscopy was propofol, which I believe, is becoming the drug of choice.

Generally it is recommended that meds be placed in your carry on luggage although there may be exceptions to that.

I recently sent cash to Vietnam via Western Union. I had never used the company before. I was amazed how easy and fast it was. I paid cash plus a 350 baht fee. All they needed was the full name of the beneficiary and for him to show any Western Union office in the country a copy of the receipt which I sent to him by phone.
As you wrote, Peter, sending money via Western Union is quite simple. A friend sent money yesterday to Cambodia by WU and all done very rapidly.

It really is not a big deal! Just do it the first time you move to your "retirement" home and forget it.

abidismaili,
They are trolling you.
No, Jasper, I am not trolling abidismaili! He , abidismaili, keeps posting more and more inane questions on the same topic. It is not possible to satisfy him. As such, I will no longer respond to his posts. I believe Reader understands, if no one else.
Do you recall his post on the Silicone Dicks? He wanted to know if the boy cut off his penis and then attached one made of silicone!
Get real!!!

Hmm, I think we have been trolled.

No. Netherlands
As Reader points out, many of the lads don't know the actual address where they live. And even the website of my condo does not provide an address.
Everyone I know living here has a slightly different take on the actual address. But saying that, even a letter with just the recipients name, condo name and the street does get delivered even if from abroad.
As for local deliveries, such as food, pizza, etc, they seem to rely on GPS coordinates and do get delivered.

Also the first post makes a remark about how boys do not know their address many times. I have the same experience and find it very strange. How can you not know the address of the place you live in?
Very easy! I have lived in the same condo for some years and still cannot find the exact address! Someone living temporarily in a rented/shared room somewhere may have no reason to know the postal address. Communication is by email, social media, Line, SMS, etc and no reason to know the postal mail address. They do know their "home address" as on their official ID.

Can someone explain what a silicone dick is? Does it mean the boy had surgery to cut of his real penis and replace it with a silicone version? In other words he has become a eunuch?
No, abidismaili, the poor lad's penis is not cut off and replaced with a silicone version.
Basically some form of liquid such as silicone, oil, paraffin, etc is injected into the outer skin of the penis which then form a bulge or lump (granuloma) thus enlarging the penis and most often disfiguring it! It can be undone with surgery wherein the skin of the penis is removed (degloved) and some form of skin transplant is grafted onto the penis. Typically a flap of skin from the scrotum is used for the skin transplant. The result varies but the patient does lose his foreskin and remains circumcised.
A eunuch has his testicles removed, ( castration) not his penis.
Too graphic?? You can always google for more info.

Second: given that it is a reality that cannot be undone, what is the most polite/respectful way to get the "situation" over with? Should I pay full fare? I do not want to let on that I am repulsed...or... should I?
Thanks, guys
In reality it can be undone with surgery if one wants to spend the money. Yes, just pay the fee and forget it.
