This bar needs to be checked out.  Its Facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Sake-Pub-สาเก-ผับ/341416052585697  where its address is stated as 60/1 Soi Damnoen Klang Tai. This seems to be a tiny road 250m south of Khaosan Road and  350m east of Sanam Luang. I reckon it is in the vicinity of Google Coordinates 13.756346380428468, 100.49797434403985.

There are some interesting pictures on its Facebook page around April 8th or 9th. Here's a Songkran poster from April 12th:

And on Youtube, a video from 2019:

Almost certainly a bar for Thais rather than foreigners.

is not in the same area (Damnoen). Video is 4 years old.

But the old Sake (closed - in my knowledge .. many years ago) has a active Facebook page as well.

    Omy..

This place still open and going ?!!! I was going there 25 years ago.. Music very loud, no farang orientated, some raw looking guys, I live in Wisutcasa for over 8 years.

  3. I travel solo in Isaan (1989 - 1993 and 2021), going to Nongkhai, Buenkran, etcetera.. Isaan have change a lot, shopping centers have kills many mum & pop businesses. As I do not have any expectation or agenda, it was ok (have car).

Korat / Nakhon Ratchasima is definitely a huge city, overwhelming if you just want to browse it..

As a tourist I will give a miss, as a pickup place I cannot comment: I was visiting a friend (Priest) and as a fine atheist I contributed (financially) to decorate his church for Christmas (Makro).

Look around” hummm, my suggestion will be get a guy as a tour guide, get a car and spend two night there and see.

  4. QQQ (regular boy) from MoonLight use to have (2) twitter accounts, I am not sure if it is from my own setting (safe search) or if he or twitter have delete them, but they look gone.

Anyone knows if they still on twitter?

  6. I retired in Bangkok at 39, that was 20 years ago, spend a lot of nights to DJ station in the beginning.

To my knowledge, downstairs are mainly for Chinese Thai and sometime Thai or oversea Asian visitor, all looking mainly for Asian or younger farang. The repeat customers at DJ are mainly Chinese Thai, and they are not short of money, nearly all businesses in Bangkok are owns by Chinese Thai family.

Upstairs are mainly Thai, mostly MB

  7. I was ok on BC with Thai, we got foiegras and the rest was good, wine and cognac, i ask them a espresso too.

Firecat, my friends from Sydney tell me the only way to eat reasonably cheaply in Sydney is to go to food court.

    Have nice holiday
