I am going to RIO in December (mid Dec to early Jan) because it was so much fun last year. I want to rent an Airbnb but I was wondering if there are other members here going to RIO at the same time and willing to share a big apartment and organize a gangbang type of party and share the cost for escorts to come? I think it would be fun and would love to find someone likeminded

Are you serious?  You may want to think this out...not sure how realistic this will be in Rio or exactly what you are looking to do besides hiring escorts for a gangbang....

and badboy81, what is the problem? If you be a bit more specific, that would be helpful. I am serious and I think RIO is the best place to have it because there are many hot boys for inexpensive rates....Unless I am missing something...but do enlighten me...

I think that the "problem" is that you don't know the other participants,  having met over 100+ americans in visiting Brazil over the past 16 years I can count on two hands with a few fingers left over who I would want to hang with for any length of time( and I am sure many feel the same way about me) I am not saying they are bad guys, just not someone you would want to socialize with just because both of you hire in Brazil!   everyone is different and has different standards/likes/types.  not to mention everyone is into different things they may not want you to know....i.e. domination/watersports/accessories/etc.. 

now if you have a friend or two that would like to do this with you different story, but I think your odds of getting a group of americans not to mention garotos to go along are slim to none!  I put together my 5 roommates in Rio with input from them finding guys that both of us like and over the last 3 years with some minor adjustments has worked out well.  several times we have had new guys stay over but they just didn't work out like the core group.  Also your chances go up iexponentiallyf you are a regular visitor and the guys here get to know you!   It sounds like this is only your 2nd trip here.

With really good friends in the scene I wouldn't mind in Prague and it may be fun.It might also entice some of the very-hard-to-get escorts to actually show up. But in Rio with strangers? The guys are so cheap and available there's less incentive unless it's for safety in numbers. Most of us are paying for a reason and it's not philantrophy, it's to compensate for looks.

Unfortunately/fortunately I'm completely tied up with my blond blue-eyed Argentine-Italian stunner who can't travel out of the US (or can't get back in easily). When a guy who's an 11 on anyone's scale of 1-10 falls in your lap and bed you don't make waves and enjoy while it lasts.

I have been traveling to Rio for years and know that anything is definitely possible but there are a few things you may want to take into account, the same way you would in the states....regardless of cost

1.  The ability for said guys you are hiring to mesh with each other or want to have sex in front of each other

2.  The guys willingness to do whatever it is you are interested in

3.  Somebody interested in the same type of guys you are interested in

Again, not raining on your parade but just a few things to take into account

Since I have decided to rent an apartment versus staying in a hotel for New Years (and possibly moving forward) I may try arranging a few things I haven't done in Brazil (the few things they are)

Personally, I'm extremely selective on travel partners and housemates -- especially on trips where a lot of sex will be involved. One wrong travel mate or housemate can fuck up the entire trip. And honestly, when I go on vacation to another country, I'm not very interested in socializing with other Americans. Getting away from them is half the fun.

Tasso imho prague is a whole different animal then Brasil both in guys and the scene! I have been to prague many times thru 2014 but stopped going when I realized I work 3x as hard for 1/2 the result I get in Prague(and i a 1/2 Czech)! It just wasn't worth it to me to cross 9 time zones and everyday there wishing I had gone to Brasil instead, and I was going out with George Basten the porn star at the time and I still thought brasil was more fun!(although geargecis great!

Sharing cost does not necessarily mean cutting cost, anymore than sharing fun does (OP's stated purpose). I took it to mean splitting, but not as in currently splitting my gut LOL.

BTW, small tip about Viagra ... all 3 doses cost about the same so a pill cutter cuts the larger unneeded dose and total cost. Not that I have 1st hand experience.

Its high season because many people go to Rio for vacation for New Years and stay for a month or more plus Carnival is in February...

After Carnival, Rio slows down until next summer....about September/October

OK, since now I have a bit more time let me clarify. This idea came to me when I ran into a guy (client) at the sauna last year. Sometimes if you are new to this scene, you feel lonely. At least I did last year so I thought it would be great if I know another client or two. It is good to sit down together after sex and chat about the boys or whatever. I just don't want to rely on google translate all the time. It gets boring. The problem for me is that I travel alone because I want the freedom to hire. If I travel with friends, it would be hard to get away from them etc. So being alone is great but sometimes it gets lonely. Of course, if I were like Tomcal, I might not be bored but the fact is I am not him, not always surrounded by boys and cannot speak the language etc. So sometimes it would be nice to have someone who can understand you. Back to that guy in sauna last year. I saw him on grindr and chatted with him. He was just completely nice and I thought we got along well. We tried to meet up a couple of times but grindr has an awful notification system so we missed each other couple of times. And it was a short trip and I was busy with boys and forgot about grindr a lot so it didn't happen. Maybe I was delusional that I can find a friend but I am willing to try.

The second part is cost sharing. I know many won't like this idea but if you stay longer in Copacabana the cost can add up easily, especially over the NYE. I try to minimize my hotel cost and spend more on the boys. So I stay in a hotel that has the minimal requirements: clean, central, reliable and big enough for two. But if I stay with somebody else in an Airbnb, with the same cost (now twice of what I pay) I can rent much nicer Airbnb. The reason is that we might have much bigger space to bring boys and cook over holidays etc. I won't be spending so much time in the apartment but there are moments that I want to chill at home (like tonight for me haha) So a big airbnb would be ideal and of course, if I have a friend who I can gossip with about boys, even better. And if we find the similar boys attractive we can have a party, but I know that is a long shot. Personally, I won't bother my friend most of the time because we have our things going on but of course we can do nonsexual stuff together when we are not hiring. Like when everybody goes home on christmas etc. But as many of you pointed out, there are many hurdles to pass to make it happen. I get it. and thanks for the input

Young11  I understand what you are feeling.  the first 3 or 4 years I went to Brazil I always went with 2 or 3 good friends and we had a 3 bedroom apt in Copa that my friend had year around.  and it was great but the 4 of us were the result of meeting a number of americans and we realized dinner was too long to be around a lot of them!  the 4 of us got along great and thou we came from diverse backgrounds and different parts of the country we became good friends and are to this day, 15 years later! but we never shared a apt or hotel room until we got to know each other through about 6 or 8 trips.

There are 2 things in Brazil that are significantly cheaper than US/Europe: boys and Airbnb (not 3stars and up hotels). Boys have been extensively covered on this forum, Airbnb not so much. The period that includes New year's Eve the owners jack the price about 4 times (I have experienced and this is valid for Rio only) so holding out just a few days makes a huge difference. Every middle-income building in Brazil has a 24 hour doorman (for security reasons). Visitors not living  in the building arise some caution. A young guy visiting does not necessarily raise flags but a bunch of young males visiting a group of older males is sort of a dead give away and the doorman will probably notify the admin of the building, even if owner of  the apartment is away. All this still might not be a problem in a small apartment (1 or 2 rooms) and the owner has a good relationship with the doorman ( money talks). The bigger the apartment the fanciest is the building (generally) and strictly are the rules, in most cases nuclear families all over. If the gangbang gets out of hand (or if it happens at all), kiss Airbnb goodbye!

About the gangbang: The ideal gangbang in Brazil: All the customers bottoms, all garotos top (supposedly), otherwise, unless you know all the boys it might be a dicey proposition.
