  4. Day 14 Time to return to civilization or, since my destination is Pattaya, to a bit of civilization. In the morning I went to survey local wat, white temple towering over center. On the grounds they have nice exposition showing history of Buddhism , I found it very interesting. Then returned to hotel , packed little I have and found myself on the road again. Catching 100 baht tuk-tuk to the airport was easy and I was there well before time, soon found that I have even more of it since plane was late 1 ½ hr. Security confiscated my deodorant which was surprising considering they did not have problem with it in Swampy when I was flying to Krabi. Oh , well. Reading forum I noticed unwelcomed news – due to local election there’s prohibition in Pattaya today , no alcohols sales and presumably no bars opened. Landed in BKK at 4.30 pm. and closest bus they had was 6.30 to Jomtien and at 7 to North Pattaya Bus station so it looks good part of day today I spent waiting in airports. I went to coupon, now card restaurant by the Gate 8 to eat something. Now they have cards they can preload with any amount we wish and unused amount is promptly refunded. Very efficient. Killing time I also checked capsule rooms near train station , past the money exchange booths. Not exactly cheap at 600 for 2 hrs but still handy for those who need to catch early flight without worrying about catching the taxi in middle od the night . This time I decided to solve permanent problem were to stay , in Pattaya or Jomtien by meeting both options mid way and opted for Zing hotel by Pratamnak hill , mid way between both. Do not mistake it with Zing Resort in Jomtien Complex. We always pass by it but almost never read reports from people staying there and I must say , I liked it. By time I get there and spruced up it was past 9.30. I caught songtaew toward Boyztown but as expected all bard were dead closed. Only venue in Boyztown opened was Paradise massage with few attractive guys outside including Wit , veteran there. I noticed that he starts to develop bit of size. When commented about it he retorted that it’s because I did not use his services for so long ( I did last year though) . There were just 2 freelancers in completely empty Boyztown proper. So I decided to see how are things in Jomtien Complex hoping Dik’s will be opened because I had cravings for chicken with cashews, what else. I was opened indeed and quite busy at that with only one table free so I claimed it immediately. Soon after I spotted familiar face of our former member z909 passing by so I called him over. His first reaction was like he saw the ghost as we exchange some messages in December but then I was not sure I will go so said nothing so he was not expecting to see me there. We exchanged news and just before midnight I hoped on songtaew and returned to hotel for my record breaking 7th celibate night in Thailand in row. Pure tragedy was that I did not even feel bad about it, who would think ?
  5. I'd say immediately, as retiree and old goes hand in hand
  6. as boys say ' you think too much"
  7. I will. No immediate plans to go as I'm still paying off last trip but it shouldn't take too long. I'm in good mood today so wont comment on Atlas vs Angkor Wat comparison. By the way Ta Som and Banteay Samre are my favorite temples in the area beaten only by walk atop of walls circling Angkor Thom sacred city with Bayon at the center even if Angkor Wat remains most impressive structure there. Angkor Wat will never tell you he needs to go because he parked motorbike in wrong spot. 15 cm biceps may, asking for taxi money in the same breath.
  8. prayers worked with no substantial injuries occurring
  9. I wonder if it's not too cold for those underdressed boys with all AC running
  10. I guess no, if you add 2 empty nights in Bangkok before Krabi leg it makes them 6 . Somehow I coped with division of whoring and sightseeing on this trip.
  11. undeserved but I will take it, thank you.
  12. at end of day nice problem to have with all choices available.
  13. yes, yes and yes. That's the place where sightseeing takes over from boy hunting as far as I'm concerned. Give me impressive ruin and I will elbow any boy aside unless he wants to accompany me there. But I still consider any visit to Cambodia without going to Space Hair bar incomplete.
  14. I agree with all of that above and highlighted is the reason I stopped patronizing them even if not long ago I considered BBB best bar in Thailand. on another hand I need to admit that they must be doing something right as bar is usually full of patrons as well as stage is crowded with boys who somehow consider working there to be worthwhile I guess.
  15. BoyzBoyzBoyz is actually 1050 Toyboys 500, speaking from experience 6 weeks ago
  16. not really when you take that shortcut behind the school by the Sikh temple , 2nd sub soi past the temple brings you right in front of Nighclub. 8 minutes 34 seconds total
  17. Day 13 Since I opted to sunset trip to Hong Islands I have morning free and decided to visit fishing village opposite of Krabi town. Another great idea. Peacefull and serene and only few minutes , 10 baht boat ride from busy city. It strongly reminded me village where I spent my vacation at my grandparents farm to a point that I started feeling bit emotional. Krabi river: toward the sea: and a village: If I ever return to Krabi that will be my first place to go for in-depth exploration. Often otherwise unremarkable places are treating us with enlightening what sense of travel is all about. I returned the same way , by local boat. I was supposed to be picked up by tour people at 11.30 but they arrived 45 minutes late when I started wondering if there’s some screwup and even called lady who sold me that trip asking what is going on. Fortunately from now on all went very well. On Hong island I climbed impressive view point, then took ecological path where I spotted monitor lizards and even had time to get wet in the sea. Glad I took that advice to take that trip. few pics from up high on Hong island : On next island we got a supper / dinner , quite tasty and sufficient although I noticed few people from our group overloaded their plates and did not eat it all wasting quite a lot of food and did not even bother to clean after themselves leaving that job to a guide and other tourists. Some people should never be released from their leashes. For actual sunset we relocated to other island where swimming was difficult due to sharp stones but view was spectacular. After dark there was an opportunity to swim in water with fluorescent plankton . All in all , again I was very happy with advice to visit Hong Islands, screw Phi Phi and their hordes. It was probably 9 when I finally got to my hotel , enough time to buy banana pancake on night market to celebrate my fourth celibate night in Krabi.
  18. if ever on this forum sentence was written I completely disagree with , that's the one. No offence intended though, just saying. But I liked your report anyways, I wish I could put together such brief reports, sigh

You go to a restaurant to have a meal or to chat with proprietor ?
  20. it is can be easily walked to from Boyztown in les than 10 mins
  21. this is why I prefer straight guys , they know they have job to do and usually trying hard and they are not prone to emotional attachments in sexual context. It separate question how really straight those' straight ' guys going with another man are. I have my very substantial doubts but always let them to have their fun thinking I take their 'straight' claim seriously. I almost always ask them question ' do you like girls or boys better ?" and quite often that answer out of ' straight ' mouth is ' same , same"
  22. perhpas they should install well visible gallows with dangling rope as reminder for all to behave.
  23. yes and no. I was also thinking about guy on the songtaew few years earlier who seeing me with luggage asked me what time is my flight and was shocked when I told him I'm using airport bus just to get to Bangkok and not flying anywhere. He said it never crossed his mind in so many years living there.
  24. Day 12 Yesterday was the sea, today I’m climbing mountain, to be specific Tiger Cave Temple . While Tiger cave in on ground level , to reach the temple atop of mountain one must climb no less than 1260 steps . Rising up i knew it will be beautiful day : Temple is half way between Krabi town and the airport and it’s well visible owing to golden Buddha statue atop glistening in the sun. To get there I took tuk-tuk , 100 baht. I started early to avoid the heat and at 8.15 am, after paying some token admission fee , I started climb which turned out to be very serious undertaking. So serious that at 2/3 , around step # 800 I had moment of giving up but there was rest area where I caught my breath and carried bravely .As always on top , once we get there we forget about climb and start awing at beautiful view from there. It was definitely crowning moment of this trip. I had chat with Polish family about sights we did and plan to do, Told them to avoid Phi Phi if they can, they told me the same about Railay beach and suggested I take tour of Hong islands tomorrow, adding that better than morning is option of afternoon sunset tour. While getting there was hard every climber knows that often going down is even more strenuous stressing joints and knees but somehow for me it turned to be breeze. On ground level I visited Tiger Cave and started looking for transportation to the city. Taxi driver wanted 300 and tuk-tuk driver 200. Keeping in mind that I paid 100 coming here and basking in pleasant weather I armed myself with can of Chang and decided to walk toward main road, about 1 km away hoping to catch something there. After 2 or 3 minutes tuk-tuk stopped with young French couple and they invited me to join them aboard. Vive la France! While in the city I went to the same place I bought “beat the crowds’ , he, he , he , tour and bought Hong island sunset tour as advised. 2400. After lunch I got bright idea to rent a boat and take a tour of river I’m admiring from my window day and night. Guy wanted 900 for 2 hrs , but accepted my offer of 800 and off we went along mangroves toward Krabi iconic guardian hills. It turned one that there’s substantial cave inside one which looks like tilted so I explored her as well. From there he suggested we go to fish farm which was nothing special other than option of buying dinner., I opted for fish soup which was tasty but bit too spicy for my palate. But at least I chalked it off. Since guy was not in rush and after dinner still gave me tour of some channels and 2 hrs become 2.5 so I gave him 1100 which he visibly appreciated but it was worth it. I never was sea , sun and sand person and today , spent in the mountains and on the river was true highlight of my trip . Certainly it was great idea to stay in the city , not Ao Nang like few people advised me. I finished such fruitfully spent day with mango pancake at the night market and when about to go to bed had that thought that having somebody beside would be great idea. But since I decided to be celibate I checked Grindr offerings in Silom and sighted going to bed alone .
