Lucky you lol traveling during the time where quarantine is required has its perks. Not so much the case for certain route where there is no quarantine requirement for both departing and arrrival countries.

I agree that mask wearing is crucial, and when u are in the confined space of an airplane, with poor circulation, impossible social distancing for an extended time, its is much more crucial. There has been a few cluster here that were spread in the airport or airplane as those are the only time the infected person in contact with the indeks case, early on during the beginning of covid, where contact tracing is very possible. Wearing N95 >surgical mask > clothing mask > piece of clothes. Either way, all kind of masks will reduce the chances of contracting the virus. Not sure how the situation will be when you are vaccinated though. Id assume we still need to wear mask for a while.

July phuket model seems to be attractive for those who enjoys phuket/island/beach holidays. Longer term visitor will definitely see this a much better option than the current quarantine options. I voted october as well. Pattaya is a much better province to do my 7 days holiday, and going to bangkok after that is easiest. Also, the longest ive travelled before was 2 weeks, so i wont be spending half of that in a place i dont prefer.

Yes, preventative measure works if all follow the rules. Mandatory masks wearing, social distancing. Enforcement requires authority and punishment too. Over here, its the fine is up to rm10000 for individuals, rm50000 for businesses if they are found breaking any of the rules. Road blocks and SOP enforcement now involved army as well. Our cases have been higher due to recent outbreak, where at peak, has been 5k a day new cases, with up to 30+ death a day. These past few weeks has been 1k a day. The second movement restriction here was not really a lockdown as most businesses are allowed to be open as long as they follow SOP.

Again, getting vaccinated definitely reduce your own risk of getting covid, and highly effective at preventing severe cases of covid if u still get infected. But it doesnt stop u from getting infected, and probably wont stop you from spreading it either. Doesnt matter if vaccinated or not, u can still spread the virus. Vaccine protect yourself but will not protect those unvaccinated, so unless most or all the people i care and around me are vaccinated, better still observe social distancing.

I see pattaya in the mix, and im already very happy lol. 7 days in pattaya without quarantine in october sounds like a dream come true. And to be able to go to phuket or krabi or even chiang mai after is not bad too. I wonder if other citizens from other provinces can free go in and out of these 6 provinces or not. If they can, then i can see most of the boys will be coming to phuket and theb pattaya for work. Id think at least locals who are vaccinated will be allowed to.
