Hey all. I've been travelling around a fair bit in the past few weeks, so thought I'd share brief reports in the next few weeks on my experience at some of the places I travelled to. I was in Sao Paulo and Rio recently (you may have seen me posting a couple of weeks/months earlier asking questions on Rio). As a disclaimer, I was actually more occupied with non-sexual touristic activities (which I will not bore you with), so there's probably not as much I can report on regarding the sex scene. Sao Paulo I was here just for 3 nights (weekend) and stayed at Intercity The Universe Paulista - close enough to walk to Av Paulista but far enough to not be troubled by noise etc. I had no problem bringing in a guy (without registration) much like most hotels Thailand. Garoto com local - I only hired one guy from the site who came to my room. A little on the higher end when it comes to fees - BRL 500 but I think it was worth it. The guy is a professional model, tall, muscular, masculine and gay. Told him what I was into and he was able to do all of it. I had a good time with him. The models on the site that I contacted mostly quoted prices between BRL450 and 500 (with one quoting BRL 800 and some didn't even reply). Lagoa - this is the only sauna I went to during my short time at SP. I went there on all 3 nights (around 8pm) and found there to be a good number of guys on each night, a good mix of different types of guys. I had one guy here, muscular top straight guy but can kiss, do foreplay on top of the usual sex. He quoted a higher rate when he approached me but agreed to BRL 200. There were a few other guys who approached me with the same rate, but I either didn't have the time on this short trip or the guy was just not my type. One of the guys asked me to join him for drinks at a nearby bar after Lagoa lol. All in all, I found most of the guys here to be quite relaxed and friendly. (Info for 1st timers - you collect your towel and locker key at the counter. The key comes with a locker number which will be used to purchase drinks and rooms. You'll get two large towels and a pair of slippers. Tips to the guys you take are paid in cash separately to the guys and the other payment for drinks, rooms etc. will be paid at the counter either by cash or credit card). Apps - there are a lot of guys for hire on Grindr. I've had a few chats but didn't really hire anyone there. Rio I was in Rio for 4 nights during the weekdays and stayed at Grand Mercure Copacabana. Prior to the trip, I contacted the hotel to enquire on their visitor policy and they confirmed that I can have visitors at the room but the visitors will have to register at the reception. Unfortunately, I was not able to test this out as the guys I had were all at the saunas. Clube 117 - I went here on Tuesday and Thursday around 8pm. While it is obviously more crowded on Tuesday with guests (free rooms), I found that on both nights they have a good selection of guys of different types. I had two guys here on separate occasions, each for BRL 200. Both were muscular tops with good physique, handsome looks. The 1st guy was unfortunately not a good experience for me. We had used the translator to communicate what I was looking for and he was ok with it but during the session, he said he doesn't do certain things. When I showed him our earlier translated conversation, he insisted it wasn't what I understood it to mean. Not sure if it was a genuine miscom or just him being sneaky but I cut the session short and just paid him his fees to save myself the headache. Fortunately, the 2nd guy was better. He was upfront about what he can and can't do, and I had a good time with him. He was more passionate during the session and was overall a pleasant guy (during and after the session). At both session, the room was not really cleaned properly that the models had to call for one of the guys working there to change the sheets etc. (Info for 1st timers - you collect your locker key at the counter. Once you go in and find the locker section, the worker at the locker will hand you two towels and a pair of slippers. Tips to the guys you take are paid in cash separately to the guys and the other payment for drinks, rooms etc. will be paid at the counter either by cash or credit card.) At both saunas, they had good drag shows during the time I was there. I like the overall floor setup of 117 (sauna/steam room and shower at lower floor, bar and porn room/lounge at separate sections of the ground floor, and other rooms for fun at the top floor) compared to Point 202 (you'd need to cross the bar to go the top floor where the sauna is). Apps - there were a lot more guys for hire and normal guys just looking for sex that contacted me. Compared to SP, I find the guys on the apps in Rio to be easier to approach. That's pretty much it on my report for this trip. Hope it'll be helpful to those making their way there. I'm already making plans for my next trip to Brazil 😬

Hey guys, Is it common for the escorts to ask for payments in advance? I see that mileroticos has a filter for models who don't ask for advance. If advance payment is required, is the practice to pay the full sum or just part of it? In my last trip to Medellín, I didn't encounter this but recently, a few of the models I've chatted are asking for it (and mentioning a rate of COP 300). 😅

There's a difference between registration of a person as additional guest to your room (and to your booking), and registering a short-term visitor. What I shared in my update was in relation to the latter (i.e. short-term visitors, not an additional guest), where most of the hotels I've contacted DO NOT allow for and the 2 that do allow for it, have processes that needed to be followed (and some fees, depending on time of visit etc.)

UPDATE: Just in case this might be useful for anyone else making plans for Rio, I've contacted several hotels around Ipanema and Copacabana on their short-term visitor policy (yes, I'm sure what their policy says and what was actually practiced could be completely different 🤣) Out of those, only 2 hotels confirmed short-term visitors are allowed to a guest's room, Hilton and Grand Mercure (subject to registration at counter and possible additional fees).

I am fairly a newbie in the LATAM side of the world, so I've sourced for useful tips and advices across various reports here in terms of the general dos and don'ts. I was just hoping to get some recommendations on guest-friendly hotels as I understand this can be tricky, just like in Medellín 😅. @floridarob, ah got it. Thanks for that! From a general google search, seems like a few other hotels are also guest friendly (e.g. Hilton, Sol Ipanema, Arena etc.), so I'll try to narrow down the options from there and email them on their visitor policy.

Ah, I didn't know that. I'm looking for a mix of both, but definitely will be bringing in guests to my room. I'll try and email those hotels to check their policy on this but thanks for the head's up. If anyone knows any recommendations for guest-friendly hotels, please let me know. I generally prefer not to opt for Airbnbs as I like the services that come with a hotel room. But may have to look into this option if hotels don't allow guests over.

Hi all, Can I ask which hotels would you guys recommend in Rio? I have a trip coming up next month but haven't booked a hotel yet as I'm torn between staying near Ipanema or Copacabana. Help please! 😅 This will by my first trip to Rio, so I'm planning to check out the saunas and bars. I know a lot of the bars are around Ipanema, but the saunas seem to be scattered around in terms of location. For now, I'm looking at either Arena Ipanema, Orla Copacabana or Grand Mecure.

I was there twice last week. Had a bit of mixed feelings on both trips. The massage by both guys were surprisingly decent, which I was kind of hoping for but didn't have high expectations on actually getting. On the other hand, the fun that followed was a little of a let down as neither guys could finish. I was told they had customers earlier, so who knows. But I made the best out of it, and the guys helped me to finish. So all in all, I still enjoyed myself. I can't say for sure, since I only asked about those models I was interested in (most of them performed in the shows). Out of those models, only 2 would go out with guys. I was in BKK last week for a short trip and checked out some of the bars. Thought I'd share some observations from my visits. The info on off fees, tips and 2nd drinks in some of the bars were told to me by the mamasan at those bars (I only offed one guy on this trip lol). Moonlight 1st Drink: THB 500 Sad to see what has become of Moonlight. I was there twice just to confirm if the vibes on both days are the same (they were). On both occassions, the bar only had a few patrons. There were less than 15 boys on rotation, most being twinks with the exception of maybe 2 twunks (apparently, the most popular guys in the bar) who didn't show much interest in patrons. The shows were the same old, nothing particularly exciting. All in all, the mood in the bar was depressing. The mamasan complained about the lack of asian customers esp during CNY when they expected a lot or customers from China. Atlas 1st drink:THB 500 Boy's drink: THB 500 I was here just once (as this was a short trip). The bar was pretty lively with a few group of patrons. There were 3-4 bodybuilders (off season but still in good shape) formerly from Tawan, a few twinks and a few uncles(?) (neither twink nor bodybuilder/hunks) on rotation (none of them had tags on, but can be off-ed). I had one of my previous off sitting with me and met with the owner, who recognised me from Tawan before. According to the guy who sat with me, he prefers working at Atlas compared to The One as the owner doesn't charge the boys bar fine if they can't make it for the night, a flexibility they don't get at The One. And it's a plus that they are already familiar with the owner. The show had a mix of drag and Tawan's usuals (big cock, bdsm & all, but without the fuck show on the night I was there). The space was big and more comfortable. They had some issues with the sound system at some point in the show, but was fixed right away. The One 1st drink: THB 500 I went here out of curiousity to see how it is going with Atlas now open. I regretted it. The was only 1 off-season bodybuilder (a guy I offed before), a chubby guy, a twink and two other guys (former bodybuilders I guess, but nowhere near that now). There was only 1 other customer (this was around 10.15pm). The annoying doorman is still there, asking me to buy him a drink the moment I sat down (I declined). The bar felt dead. I didn't finish my drink and just left after a few mins. Jupiter 1st drink: THB 600 2nd drink: THB 450 Off fee: THB 500 Boy's tips: min THB 3000 I was here twice. The bar was full on both nights, mainly with Asian customers (maybe around 1/3 of the patron were ladies). The boys and the shows were the Jupiter's usual standard - excellent if it you're into that type of show (I am). Had a good chat with one of the captains, who gave me some useful info on which boys are available and which of them only goes with ladies (spoiler - almost all of the boys doing the sexy performances with the drag queens exclusively go with ladies). I didn't manage to off anyone (the ones I was interested to take were all booked by others) so next trip, I'll probably be there a little earlier. Fresh Boys 1st drink: THB 500 2nd drink: THB 300 (i think, my total bill was 1.3k) Off fee: THB 500 Boy's tip: min THB 2500 This was an unexpected visit for me. I've never really had Fresh Boys in mind when checking out bars as I thought they were more catered towards those into twinks based on the last time I was there many years ago (I prefer more muscle on my guys). That said, decided to just give it a shot out of curiosity and ended up taking a guy back lol. They had a huge stable of guys (slightly less than Jupiter but fairly big). The boys are mix of Vietnamese, Cambodians and Thais. There were quite a few twunks with toned bodies, but large number of the boys were twinks or next door type. The show was pretty much the same format as others (drag, sexy dance, big cock etc). The bar was crowded the night I was there. I had a good time with my off. Well spoken handsome, toned Vietnamese guy. He's pretty popular from what I understand and was happy to try out new things to make customer happy. I would definitely take him out again next time.

Yeah, I had a feeling it would be around this range given the increase in ST. In my last trip, guys @ the One will ask for 3000 for ST but I remember paying 2500 for ST to a guy I had from Moonlight.

Wow, 6000 seems pretty steep. 4000 kinda makes sense I guess for some of the more popular bars/guys (Jupiter, Dreamboys, maybe previously Tawan/The One) seeing that even ST with guys there would usually cost around 3000 (at least back in August last year). Hi all, I've been meaning to share my experience from my trip to Medellin back in August 2024 but didn't find the time to actually do it 😅. Finally managed to sit down and pen this out. It will be just a brief report on my experience. I was there for about 1 week during the Fiera de Flores, and stayed at Poblado. Weather It was technically winter when I was there but weather was perfect. There were a few short rain spells but otherwise, it was sunny mostly with a chilly temperature. Hotel I stayed at Haven, A Design Hotel smacked in the middle of Poblado. Their staff were all amazing but just a head's up, this hotel really is for those who like to party. Their rooftop pool/bar host events on the weekend and the music is so loud and lasts till early morning (around 4 am, I think), you won't get much sleep. Weekdays are a bit more bearable but the hotel is surrounded by bars, so still pretty noisy. But they do give you complementary ear plugs 😅. The hotel does have a clear additional visitor/guest policy. I noticed they're pretty open about it, so I'm guessing it is sort of a known thing that those who stay there tend to bring guests back to the room? Just my guess though. All said, I would still stay here in my next visit. Haha Language Not being able to speak Spanish can be quite the challenge. While you can always use a translator app, it is not convenient to meet with guys or even do the usual day-to-day things. Security I've read a lot of tips when it comes to safety prior to trip. When I was there, I did not have any issues with safety nor did I feel I was unsafe or insecure at any time. Perhaps it is the neighbourhood but ultimately, I do feel that if you take reasonable precautions, you'll be alright. Gay Bars I only went to 2 gay bars while I was there; Afrodisia and Bar Chiquita. They have quite a different vibe from each other, the former for classy-bougie ish while the latter is pretty much your normal bar/club type. I personally prefer Bar Chiquita and went there a couple of times. Boys There are plenty of guys on Grindr. Quite of them around Poblado are for pay but I didn't engage with any of them as there are plenty of keen guys not looking for payment. I've met a few guys on other apps too (Bumble, Tinder). I do have to highlight that there are plenty of hot guys around, both locals and expats 🤣. I can see why some prefer coming here frequently. Cam Models Prior to coming here, I've been in contact with a few cam models in anticipation of meeting them. However, I only ended up meeting one model. Sweet guy who doesn't speak English. The main problem I have with most models is how they change their mind and increased their rates the moment I actually reached Medellin. I've been doing this in the past few trips that I've had and it works well for safety and budgeting 🤣🤣🤣. I would carry enough cash for a day's spending and my Wise card (or credit card, depending on what I plan to do).

I forgot to mention one other odd thing: the doorman cum manager took on the role of negotiating the tips for the guys (at least he did that to me). I told him I've been here many times even before he started working with the bar 😅. Has that happened to anyone else here? So far, I've only experienced this at The One, not at any of the other bars.
