Prince is a end place . You can tip 1500 baht for 90 minutes. Many other massage shops are available where you can tip less than 1000 baht. Many options to fit everybody’s wallet issues.

Vietnam, quick note on my last visit to Hanoi. And I’m going back
paulsf replied to endlessdream's topic in Gay Asia
Interesting you picked Essence Palace. It’s the hotel I usually stay in when in Hanoi. Great location in the Old Quarter. It caters to Western tourist. The entire staff speaks fluent English. Rates are great so I always get a terrace suite. Fun sitting on terrace and watching the hustle and bustle of the Old Quarter. If your flying in, let them arrange car. Cheap and driver knows where hotel is. Old Quarter is difficult for taxis to find their way around. Now the downside ...if you want to bring company back to your room. They used to have a sign in lobby saying No Guest Allowed in Rooms. When I was there in October it was gone. But I usually have my boy with me so not looking to bring someone back. My friend is younger, Vietnamese and we live in Bangkok. They treat him like royalty as Vietnamese don’t stay in this hotel. Only one time I have had a Vietnamese friend stop by. I met him in lobby. I took him to the room with looks from front desk but nobody stopped me. I had a package for him from friends so only in room 10 minutes. I could tell front desk wanted to say something, but I stay there a lot and figure they cut me some slack. I don’t think u will as lucky. One guest u will be ok, but different guy every night I think an issue. They take all passport or ID info. Extremely small lobby, so impossible to sneak anybody in. Western chain hotels only place you might get away with revolving door. I’ll be back there in March or April. Be interested to hear how you make out. -

The boys have really taken to the apps in Hanoi. You will find several massage boys that work in the saunas openly mentioning it. The smaller the hotel the more trouble you will have bringing someone to your room. Especially in Old Quarter hotels. I usually have a friend with me so not an issue, but in October I went alone and stayed at the Hilton. I had no problem bringing someone to my room there.. Hope you have fun. I get to Hanoi a few times a year and love it. -
Thanks for the fun report. I missed seeing you this trip and as you know I’m good friends with many of the cast of characters in your report. Made me feel as if I was there . I’m sure we’ll meet up on your next trip. Soon.
-
I don’t want to step on his report, but will mention he had successfull trip to tailor.
-
Thanks for the start of your Bangkok report. You give me to much credit . I missed you by a week or so this trip, but I feel like I was sitting there with you and Reader. Van joined us a few times at Maxi’s before you arrived. As you know, I have known him about as long as you have. It was fun having him around. Glad you had a great trip and look forward to reading more. Hope to see you again soon.

Twilight FreshBoys is better than New FreshBoys. You won’t find find mature guys at Screwboys. More toward twinks.. Jupiter and Moonlight mostly mature guys.
-
The new FreshBoys is up the stairs over Screwboys. The original FreshBoys is still open in Twilight. Screwboys is on ground level few doors in Patpong from Surawong. Usually several boys sitting out front to direct you.
-
Depends on the customer. It may not work for you, but Screwboys is one of the busiest offing gogo’s in Bangkok. They have lots of fans.
-
A lot of the boys that might have gone to Taiwan are working at Jupiter and Moonlight. Lot more money to be made leaving Taiwan.

SALVADOR, BAHIA, Dec 22 to Jan 3

I always look at it this way. If everything went perfectly you would write one line saying, left ontime, great flight. Now you have a story to remember and tell. -
I’ve never had any issues on Christmas or News Eve. Lots of guys around. Lots of fun to be had.

737 Max is a single aisle aircraft. The picture above isn’t accurate. But look at the one line above the picture. It says, traditional 3 seats on either side of the aisle.
-
Half the posters here complain about a 20 baht tip. Do you think they are going to pay for all that. The bar and gogo workers come and go so fast, it would be next to impossible to keep all the info up to date. I would suspect all that technical info would catch the attention of the current governments. But your right, who knows, I’m just pretty sure it won’t be in my lifetime.

Many of you complain about the annoying Mamasans at FreshBoys, (and other places) , but when was the last time you were there? They replaced the entire staff and only one Mamasan seems annoying to me. I told him I’d like to be left alone my first time there and he never bothered me again. They do give coins for change but usually only 5. I’ve never seen them give 10. I think There is a good mix of boys there now. Don’t be afraid of Mamasans. Their not going to throw you out. I’ve always just politely but firmly said if I need you I will call you over. I just don’t have problems with them. If you don’t try to get your point across they will try to walk all over you. It’s easier for us to ruin their night than for them to ruin our night. We have control of the tip.

Don’t overlook Premium Economy. Lots of room for taller and larger travelers. Sometimes fares are just over those of Economy, but it’s really starting to catch on, so fares are creeping up. Still a huge bargain compared to Business.

I know in Twilight they will keep the bottle for you. I know of bottles being held up to a week, but don’t know if there is a time limit for holding them.
-
Twilight becoming a total ripoff is your personal opinion. My personal opinion is it’s not a ripoff. I hang out there 5-6 nights a week and have lots of fun. There are sex shows at several places. This is why I usually tell people that This is my opinion, but you should go see for yourself. We all have different ideas of what we like. Everything is close together so if not what your looking for, easy to just move on.

Spoon I can only speak for Bangkok, but several bars and gogo’s don’t pay wait staff. They work for tip only.
-
Many wait staff only work for tips and you say it’s their fault as they should get a better job. Then you say you can’t affort a bank transfer fee or to tip a waiter. Maybe you should look for a better job. I admit I tip very well. But I don’t judge people that don’t want to. It’s a personal choice. What I have a problem with is your hypocrisy and sheer glee in the fact that you take pride in stiffing the work staff . Save your 20 baht, you might need a little someday.

You give Cheap Charlie’s a bad name.
-
I don’t understand why you would want to go back to Thailand if you had such a miserable time.
-
So many changes in the area lately and everybody using google maps on phone, not many maps anymore. Twilight is. Hot Male, Hot Male 2 and Banana Bar. Then XBoys, Bangkok Massage, FreshBoys. Across is Maxis Restaurant. Then Dreamboys. That’s about it except Classic way down and a couple little local places that don’t really draw tourist. Check out Gaythailand.com. Lots of info.

You don’t mention what price range your looking at or how long your staying. Tarntawan and Raya are closest to Twilight. Tarntawan is a bit tired, but functionable. Rose and Montien are in the middle of construction zone, but navigable. Lots of high construction walls around the area. All will allow you to take company to room. Red Planet is a 15 minute walk, quite basic and quite popular with younger Chinese. Twilight is on Surawong. Raya is 25 ft from Twilight. That’s the closet.

It’s difficult to recommend hotels in Bangkok as the city is full of them. Best of all some of the lowest prices for great 5 star hotels.. Your right Lucky as we get older our needs for more comfort and convenience becomes a bit more important than bargain prices.
