  1. All this happened under the previous CEO who has been dodging a Senate enquiry for some time now, he did manage to get a very healthy golden handshake when he left and I believe he ran that airline down. I have not liked Qantas for many years now and would refuse to fly internationally (even domestic now) with them as long as there is an alternative airline, I would even pay extra just to avoid them as they well and truly screwed up a holiday many years ago and treated me like a piece of dirt. Living and working in the country and having to rely on their domestic flights also left bad taste in my mouth, delayed flight after delayed flight seemed to be their theme as was the price of their flights. One other thing I hate with airlines in general is the practice of over booking flights, been screwed around by that one before despite booking months in advance. Sorry, rant over.
  2. Now that my passport is renewed it's time to start contemplating my next holiday and a long overdue one at that, it will most likely just be a short reacquainting trip split between a couple of destinations of a week in each. Keeping in mind plans can and sometimes do change. The simple plan to date with Bangkok the first destination Figure out trip dates and book flights and accommodation Arrival, check into hotel then go and change money Explore massage options (early afternoon) and enjoy a massage and some cock Shopping to stock up the room Evening massage and some more cock Not into bars so a quiet meal and a drink or two then retire for the night Day 2 onwards, anything goes but some more shopping, a good walk around and more massages with that bit of cock afterwards

Some of my go to places, not in any order of preference G's Bangkok Soi 4, nice place, good food and cold beer, nice place to sit and watch the Soi 4 world go by Roadhouse Barbecue corner Rama IV and Surawong, good food and cold beer, a little pricey but still good and the lunch specials are reasonably priced Mango Tree (my favourite) as Daddy415 said delicious food, nice atmosphere, I can't resist eating there several times per trip. Such a pity that the Mango Tree on Yodpiman Riverwalk closed, I used to enjoy a leisurely evening meal and drink there and sit back watching the river traffic flow by Happy Beer Garden across from the Raya on Surawong, cheaper eats than others but still good food and drinks and generally a happy atmosphere
  5. Thanks for that, that one will be on my avoid list when I head over later this year
  6. Even the Philippines is melting, travelled many times to the Philippines and never seen the temps so high and that have persisted for so long, at least in my favoured part it's still quite nice (up in the mountains in and around Baguio). Link below shows the 5 day highest heat index and it looks damn hot and to quote Robin Williams in Good Morning Vietnam "It's hot! Damn hot! Real hot! Hot as it is, is my shorts I can cook things in it, a little crotch-pot cookin". Philippine heat index
  7. Having lived for more than half my life in the middle of nowhere in Western Australia the heat never bothered me that much (humidity is a killer though and I never got used to it) but a couple of trips to the Philippines and Vietnam at the wrong time of year I just about melted it was that hot. Next trip to Thailand is coming soon and it will be in the wet season and humidity 🙃
  8. Blast, I was considering a Japan trip next year and Kyoto was on my short list of places to visit.
  9. I do love the old photos of places and those old ones of Asian cities the 👌
  10. I usually do Roadhouse at least twice each trip, some things on the menu can be overpriced but I have never had any complaints with their food quality and yes they serve nice cold beer at a reasonable price to go with it.
  11. Geez that must have been one mighty big operation.
  12. From my own perspective, being cut I can say my cock is very sensitive, sometimes I wish it wasn't quite so sensitive even when wrapped in a condom.
  13. Yes quite a few times but for me they were relatively short flights compared to what most take, flying back to Australia from either the Philippines or Vietnam via Singapore I opted for a few nights stop over rather than connecting flights and spending hours in transit at the airport. Mind you a few hours transit at Changi isn't too bad a thing even way back then but looking at some flight options now that transit is down to under 1 hour which doesn't leave much room if the first flight is late even by a short time.
  14. Nice speech by the politicians but odds are they won't do anything - they really do need to get some non corrupted people in there to empty the rotten nest...
  15. Loving your reports vinapu. Yes I agree on the animal concentration camps and I too avoid them. With my only trip to the cashew farm I walked out with so many cashews it wasn't funny, my 2 favoured flavours were the chocolate and the chilli, took a long time to eat them all
  16. Not a fan of songkran but I don't hate it, what I do hate is when you get dressed up nicely to go out at night (cabaret, show etc) and some twit thinks it's funny to throw a bucket of ice cold water over you. If you plan on wanting to go out and stay dry then I suggest you get a taxi to come to the hotels front door or you will get soaked.
  17. Wow now that alone may well screw with some retired expats, I think this could well get ugly
  18. Forgot my full packet of BP meds and arrived with only a few days worth once but got them in the small pharmacy just near Chula (I think AP Medical), no problems at all, just showed them the empty packet with my info on the label and they were happy to sell me some. I do like that one and Chula, if one doesn't have what I need the other most likely will.
  19. They really are some lowlife scumbags that do this shit and they would be close to if not the lowest of the scum. And I would say they are most likely in countries where it would be very hard if not near impossible to get to them.
  20. The gay scene in Thailand for me is more the massage shops than the bars, I have never really been a fan of the go go bars (not even in my straight days) but prefer the beer bars for a much quieter drink and socialising with the guys. Travel to Thailand or other places in Asia I like to move around and check places out (museums, ancient city ruins etc) and at the end of the day hit a gay massage shop for hopefully a good massage (or mediocre rub down) and some hot steamy sex. Then I can enjoy the night and whatever it holds. Costs all round are rising just about everywhere and I do wish that I could have found my version of the gay scene in Thailand many years before I actually found it but alas I missed out on what many would say were the good days.
  21. I have seen guys retire and expire in the Philippines and Thailand, one common problem with those guys is they thought they could retire there and still carry on like a tourist. Without having plans to keep busy all they did was live the high life (so to speak), drink all day and night going from bar to bar their health soon deteriated to the point of no return. Moving to places like Thailand or the Philippines to live, in my view a person needs something to keep occupied with (other than drinking and whoring around), an interest in a hobby, maybe take up a course and do some studies etc, just something to keep the mind busy.
  22. Been there twice now and visited both museums, I did prefer The Thailand-Burma Railway Centre museum (just next to the cemetery), smaller than the one next to the bridge but more my liking. I am hoping to one day do the ANZAC day dawn service at Hell Fire Pass, maybe next year.
  23. I looked at May, same price for business class but for me the best options are either Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday as they leave Perth at 09:20, the return on those days is just after midnight which gets in at just the right time for the long drive home. My trip will either be with Thai or Singapore Air, I won't mind SIA so that I can do a week in Singapore on the way home
  24. I've always enjoyed the food on Thai and looking forward to it again
