Amongst the massage parlour, sauna and gogobar, first time blk visitor
ChristianPFC replied to spoon's topic in Gay Thailand
I consider the floating markets tourist traps and wouldn't go again if you invited me. I consider the gogo bars in Bangkok way overpriced. Your numbers are correct, in Pattaya you can get everything for half. "One small question, do i need to buy alcoholic drink in the bars? Any minimum order? Or just tipping the gogoboy is fine?" You have to buy one drink to get in, doesn't have to be alcoholic (some places even have tea or coffee). No minimum order. Tipping up to you (If someone asks me for a tip, he won't get any). "Since im not looking for anal, do u think the tips is diff?" You pay for the time. There are reports of people taking the boys just for dinner or sightseeing, no sex, still full tip expected. -
I have the book and cherish it. Did you type the quote or did you get it somewhere digital? Now having walked the Silom area at night, I must say I am happy about the change. There are still 4 underwear shops left (that would be the only thing I would miss). Everything now on the side to the buildings, the sidewalk and side to street is free. Congratulations to cleaning it up and I hope it stays as it is.

Now that's funny! I once had a boy ask me during foreplay if my mobile phone can be set up as a WiFi-hotspot and if I could do so so he can use my data connection to save money on internet. I understand the question, but made a sound pretending I did not understand. One of the many occasions on that encounter where I should have left. Whereas grammar questions could be a turn-on for me. I have an interest in languages and linguistics, and having learnt several foreign languages, I can apply the grammar I learnt for these languages on German and give German grammar advice.

One of the first boys I met in Thailand had Pitbull Meet me in the hotel as ringtone; whenever I hear that song I think of him. Some other songs make me think of places where I heard them, or boys I connect them with, but don't recall details now. There is one catchy tune that I first heard in early 2016 that is played in disco, but I couldn't find the name! Even recorded it from disco on my phone to ask friends. And there are some songs, I wish I could close my ears as I can close my eyes, Sex Bomb for example.

I like a simple layout, and here gaybutton is the winner by far. However if the question had been which I find the most interesting, or which I read first, or which I would chose if I could read only one, it would be sawatdeenetwork. I like the banter and some posters over there.

I often do the same in my report. From context, I will immediately remember if N is Nin, Non, New, or Nop, but the reader will not know and it gives a bit more privacy. On the other hand, who is going to care? And the good ones I recommend to friends with similar tastes, no privacy at all. "He says 2000. This confirms what I’d already asked mamasan." They are trying to push short time to 2000 everywere around Surawong. The last boys I took were happy with 1500.

PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair) ID-10-T error (idiot error) If you want to know exactly, my internet connection is unreliable, and while it looked like connection was broken, it was still there, but I had to do something (clicking "send" again) to find out whether I have connection or not. I often bypass that corner by going through Ibis hotel. That reduces a T-junction with traffic from three sides to two simple crossings.

Not just Silom market, market on Pratunam sidewalks is gone as well. And moving van stations from Victory monument worked, I had a look today and found vast, empty areas (wonder for how long they will stay empty and what will go in there). I appreciate the freedom to walk on a wide sidewalk, and not having to be in the slow train making its way between the stalls. Why on earth do you have to sell and buy clothes or souvenirs on the sidewalk?

Yes. I have seen a room that costs 1500 THB (about 50 USD) per month in Ramkhamhaeng, very small (i.e. a single bed and a meter space on two sides) but livable. No aircon, shared bathroom and cold shower on floor. For 100 USD, you can get some comfort and space (by my standards) in the outskirts. In IT, your best bet would be to work online, i.e. location independent.

As for places that you can't find or that might have moved: ask other people who are around. Speaking Thai helps, so does a picture of the shop or name written down in Thai. A while ago, it happened twice to me that I went to a sauna to find it closed (some out-of-the-way place with some time and money involved getting there), now I always call (preferably landline) to ask if they are open before I go to such places.

In Pattaya, I pay 1000 for short time and used to pay 1500 for long time. quote from http://sawatdeenetwork.com/v4/showthread.php?18183-New-360-Bar-in-Pattaya/page4 Years ago, I used to pay 1500 for lt in Pattaya. But now I don't ask for st or lt, I see how it goes and if the boy wants to stay over night, that's great, and I might give 1200 if I have a generous day, otherwise it's 1000, same as for st. For reasons of prices, I have almost completely given up on Bangkok bars. The business model in girly bars is different, drink prices are lower than in boy bars, but tips are higher.

Prince Massage - A Review from October 2016

Thank you very much for your candid report. Most reports on the forums are tinted positive, contrary to my experience which is a lot of duds and the rare occasional gem. -

If the sex scene is less visible would you still come to Thailand?
ChristianPFC replied to a topic in Gay Thailand
That depends on what your interests are. It took me about two months (spread over several years) in Pattaya to go to all places I'm interested in, and some are worth going again after a few years. I lived in Bangkok for 3 years haven't been to half of the places I find interesting. -

Not sorry for being pedantic, the headline should be: "If the sex scene was less visible would you still come to Thailand?" Yes, absolutely. There is enough online and in saunas (there even for free, however no guaranty you get lucky). I wouldn't miss Soi Twilight at all (over the years, from frequently going to bars to frequently just passing through the soi to passing only if I have something else in the area). There would even be a bit of "Schadenfreude" if it closed, all those overpaid underperformers would be forced to do some real work. Pattaya would be a loss, I still enjoy a few trips per year with 5-10 gogo bar visits each trip. -
Bangkok, Phuket, Chiang Mai in such a short time. Why such a hurry?

The setting around the lake is nice and there are some very interesting temples in the province. I have been twice for sightseeing in 2014 (details see my blog) and the two different hotels I stayed in were "look for something nicer next time". http://christianpfc.blogspot.de/search/label/Roi%20Et

You deserve praise for posting this here to attract English-speaking customers. The first two pictures load slowly and incompletely, and the prices are on the high side. 2000-3000 Baht outcall can be called outrageous, but I found similar prices elsewhere, so that seems to be what the market bears, or rather wishful thinking?
-
Not necessarily. "head somewhere" means "go somewhere" http://www.idiomeanings.com/head-somewhere/ http://english.stackexchange.com/questions/211786/head-to-somewhere-vs-come-vs-go Or do you mean "vinapu is going to get head there?" as a variant of "give head"? That would be a different story.
