So I went to Lagoa for the first time recently, and this is my experience:

 

When I arrived I went straight to the bar and sat down. I noticed Gp were in a group on one table and some sat at their own table by themselves and I wasn’t immediately rushed to as I had read about. Lol so I felt unwanted for a few minutes. I had caught the eye of a very hot guy in the shower and he kept staring back so I waved him over with my eyes as I wasn’t bold enough to do it with my hand. So he comes over and sits with me and after talking for a bit, I agreed to get a room and ask them how much his service was and to my surprise, he said 100. I was expecting at least 150. So we go get a room and I get the suite and we start our little session which only involves kissing and oral because I wasn’t ready for sex. He wants to climax, but I decline and then I pay him and our session ends.

 

So I stay in the room and relax, and he leaves yet a few minutes later he comes barging in panicked. he can’t find his key that’s supposed to be on his wrist. So he starts moving the sheets around and I get off the bed and now he’s flipping the bed over. I couldn’t help but think that our session was nowhere near an Olympic sport that your key would come flying off your wrist or that you’d even have a need to take it off. If anything the entire session, he just laid back so now he’s in panic mode searching all over and I tell him maybe he should check the shower so he leaves the room.
 

Continue to sit in the room and now another GP has entered uninvited. And I say oh no, no no thank you he closes the door behind him and flashes me and it probably is the biggest dick I’ve ever seen in person. I could not stop staring at it. So I proceeded to say no thank you I don’t have any money and then he replies that it’s OK cause I’m new there don’t worry about it. So I’m naïve and I start to give him a BJ and as soon as I start, he’s grabbing a condom so I say oh no. Then he wants me to suck him off some more and he wants to come and I say no thank you. So I get his WhatsApp information and I tell him I’ll call him some other time as I’m in town for a couple weeks.. he says he’s $300 for outcalls. Then follows that with, but for today I can pay him 150. Ok what? I thought he was giving me a sample so not only did he walk himself into my room without me requesting him, I’m getting charged for his so-called sample. So honestly, I didn’t have reals. And I gave him a $20 bill USD. And I said you said not to worry about payment so just take that.. and he had this whole attitude left the room angry.

 

ok lesson learned. I’ll give it another try this time with wisdom. 

The first guy found his key (if he ever lost it). I won’t assume. I just thought the flipping the room over was excessive.

Eh it’s a quite cheap lesson for your first time. Sounds like fun nonetheless.

I never ask their price. I offer 150 or 200 reals (depending on the city, the GP, and the situation). 
     150 = 100 (say-n) e 50 (seen-kwen-tah)
    200 = duzentos (or just hold up two fingers)

During my past two months in Brazil, only one guy (out of a hundred? who's counting?) countered with more. (To be fair, he was extremely cute.) A few have briefly hesitated before accepting.

I suppose I could bargain and save US$8 once in a while (or perhaps miss the rare guy who would have accepted 100 reals), but my bar bill is next to zero so I prefer to make my offer, skip negotiations, and head "straight" to the sala.

Is there a inflation recently? 150R works for most garotos in April this year, without milk of course 

What is Lagoa like at the moment? I have been to São Paulo 9 times I have not been to Lagoa since it moved. I have very fond memories of the old place. Comments welcome.

Meh, you'll probably be disappointed...it's very different than before...but it exists, which is the plus...I prefer the new location over the old one.

I’d say once or 1.x where x is 0-0.999 …, by average, but you need to ask the right person. Be advised, though, that it must be a well kept secret because it has been asked the same way yet answered differently a number of occasions to infinity.

I would counter that theory and go with the idea that you have excellent taste in terms of your shortlist. I wouldn’t pay anything for the majority of options yet others will. Punters here will insidiously scramble your brain with notions that leave you questioning whether you are worthy of fulfillment on your terms.

If you have the luxury of time, you might attempt the long game and play chicken but try not to get too sucked in by financial opinions here.

Personally, my most memorable experiences as far as quality over a decade have been either among the least and most expensive, satisfaction decoupled from price. Logic and reason is your friend.

As long as you are cutting your nose off to spite your face the absurdist world order is balanced. Others are far more anxious about this world order and their dicks’ mortgages than you would be inclined to obsess after the fact having spent a few extra bucks.

And by the way, the “extra” is something a bossypants will arbitrarily define with a gaslamp at hand.

You don’t need to report your expenditures. Nobody will actually retain it. Take it from me, this same discussion will live on for the next decade.

Nope, it's because they are trying to Gringo price you. I can't blame them for trying but I would decline any guy that pricey. It's not that it cost a lot when converted to dollars or Euro's ect... it's that those type of guys are usually bad in the sack and try to do the least while trying get more money out of you. It's usually rushed sex or they try to add in some extra expense in the middle of the act ect. I would recommend staying away from those types of guys.
