Trip advice

Hello guys.  I’ll be in Bangkok in a week or so and will only be there for about 34 hours.  I’m landing at BKK at about 11:40pm and am wondering if i should just get an airport hotel immediately upon arrival and try to get some sleep. I could then wake up and take the BTS to the Silom area and checkin to my hotel before hitting up some massage spots and later in the night, the gogo bars. I haven’t booked my hotel yet but i stayed at the Quarter Silom last time and it was fine and great location for what I’m interested in.

On my last trip I only tried Freshboys and am hoping to at least see two more of the other bars but don’t want to deal with any overly pushy boys.  I enjoyed Freshboys.  Is there a similar bar but with slightly more hunky dudes.  Maybe I’ll try Hotmale.  Hunky/Twinky is what i’m looking for.  I plan to pick the one guy i find to be the hottest, make sure he is willing to top, and then have him select another hot dude so they can put on a nice show for me at my hotel room.

I’m also looking to get a couple massages with potential extras and have read many threads on this forum.  I’m thinking I want to go somewhere where i can see the selection of guys and have my choice.   I’m thinking The Prince is where i should go.  Last time I went to The Green and got lucky with my sexy foot massage guy but i’m worried i’ll be assigned someone i don’t find attractive. Last time I also went to 9-Teen but the massage was lackluster and wasn’t offered extras.

Anyways, thanks for reading and any advice you may have my fellow forum members!

if I were you I'd book hotel in Silom area and took taxi there. You can be in ghetto around 1 am , perfect time to take shower and have a stroll of the district as it's time when bars close and boys are eating and drinking , alone or with friends all over the place. Perfect opportunity to get some companion.

For massages, as you seem to be short of time , stay in the area and your choice is between Prince , Arena and Senso. For bars taking into consideration type of boys you like it's between Dreamboys, Hot Male and Good Boys ( it it were me , I'd be splitting between Jupiter, Moonlight and Atlas).

You will sleep at your destination or at home upon returning

Prince , Arena and Senso are all solid picks, but be aware that they are full service places (H). If you want massage first and something that does not involve penetration, then Ssense, Prestige and Wabi Sabi are other choices in the area, but of course you might get lucky there too.

Thanks @vinapu.  I’ll take your advice and head straight to the ghetto upon landing.  I’ll checkout the three bars you mentioned and Freshboys again.

Thanks @Enchanted_Elixir.  I appreciate your recommendations for massages because i’m not looking for penetration but am interested in a massage from a hot guy and maybe some extras.

On second thought I think I’ll only try one other bar besides Freshboys during this brief trip.  On the night of my arrival i’ll take a taxi from the airport to my hotel in Silom.  I’ll checkin and quickly head over to the road with all of the gogo bars on it.  Maybe i’ll bring a guy back to the hotel.

On the second day i’ll get a couple massages and hit up the bars for a more thorough inspection. Hopefully i’ll book the two guys to come back to my room for some fun as well.  Last time i was at Freshboys it was my first time there and i forgot to tip the mamasan. This time I think i’ll give her 500 baht immediately and hopefully that will positively impact my treatment while there.

Any restaurant recommendations in the Silom area?  I don’t need anything fancy i’d just like to eat some tasty Thai  food. Thanks!

No, no, no, 100 bt for mamasan at Freshboys is perfectly adequate and keeps you in her good books. You realise that Mama gets 100bt from every off fee and 100bt often from men who are off'd? Good boys is open until 2am so you might get there in time.

no harm done, tip exactly for what ? just for her being there or she helped you to organize / translate for the boy.   Spend your money on boys instead

insane idea, 500 is very generous tip for boy sitting with you , allowing you thorough inspection of his secret goods but as zoomomancs  mentioned above 100 is plenty for mamasan.

We should be careful not to forget that our reason for visit are boys , not waiters or mamasans and adjust tipping policy accordingly . I think it's unfair when customers tips 20 or  50 baht  big cock participant offering his manhood for a touch while tipping waiter 100 just for binging a drink to our  seat. Freshobys is known to bring you change with tons of 10 baht coins hoping you will leave all of them in the folder. If I get such treatment and i do often , I scoop of all of those coins and leave 20 baht note instead, if that much

other may offer more sophisticated ideas but my suggestions are: Happy Beer Garden  on Suriwong across Raya hotel, Derby King  in Patpong 1 (boy bars are in parallel Patpong 2), night market in Patpong 1 and of course UNESCO and Michelin acclaimed ( just kidding , you are new member  Foodland Patpong, opened 8 days a week , 25 hours a day ).

For farang  or farang/Thai fusion food  G'Bangkok  in soi 4 across of Banana Club .

@vinapu Last time she was helpful in making the offing process smooth between the boy and I.  I would have been fine using Google Translate.  This time I have the new Apple Airpods Pro 3 with the live translation feature and i’m planning to use it with the guy once we leave Freshboys.  It might be pretty cool to have him speak and get the real time English translation of what is being said in my ears.  I’ll still have to type out my response to him but hopefully this makes it a bit easier.

When I land at BKK I will withdraw about $500 USD in Thai baht.  What is the best way to get change so I can use the 100 baht notes for tipping?  I’m traveling with just a backpack so i’m tempted to just hop on the back of a bike instead of getting a taxi but i don’t want to be scammed.

In case anyone’s interested, my whole trip is primarily focused on earning a higher airline frequent flyer status so i’m really only flying to get the elite qualifying miles and Bangkok just so happened to be convenient in accomplishing my goal.  Florida-Seattle-Tokyo-BKK-Doha-Dallas-back to Florida. Whole trip from start to finish is 105.5 hours with 35 hours of it being in Bangkok.

I’m hoping that the boy that i offed from Freshboys in March is still there.  He said he was going to lose his number(20) due to traveling back home to Laos.  I’ll be able to recognize him for sure because of his tattoos.  No big deal if he’s gone but would be fun to see how far i could push the limits of what he’ll do.

I’m planning to off one boy on my first night and if he’s fun i may offer to let him pick a guy or gal to have fun with in my hotel room on my final night.

Buy something inexpensive in a 7-11. It's store policy not to object to paying for small items with large notes.

If all else fails, the bar cashier should be willing to change your money for smaller notes.

Also ticket counters in BTS and MRT stations as well as train station in Phaya Thain and airport work well to get a change

don't take it I criticized your spending plans. I only want to pint that it's not fair to boys in bars when we tip waiters or mamasans more than boys themselves. Unfortunately I saw it quite a few times , boys after sitting 20 minutes with customer and being subject to not so discreet molestation gets 100  and waiter who just brought a drink also gets 100 , This boils my blood

....................

there are no motorsai taxis in the airport, take a train to save money and to get change in process of buying 45 baht ticket to Phaya Thai  and there get more change by buying BTS ticket to Sala Daeng or Chong Nonsi

......

going in other direction would save you some flying time due to prevailing winds while racking the same miles, once I flew Vancouver- Bangkok in 16 hrs non stop, the same return leg took 13 hrs only

I’m under the impression that because my flight arrives around 11:40pm at night that the trains won’t be running and the ticket counters will be closed.  I’ll be fine with a taxi if it’s the fastest way to The Quarter Silom.

@vinapu It’s commendable that you want the boys that are doing the work to be paid  the most.  I don’t take it as criticism. Last time I went to Freshboys i sat down and bought two drinks, one for myself and one for the boy.  After chatting for 20 minutes, holding hands and having him try to guilt me into offing him i declined his offer and slipped him a discreet 1000 baht note.(which the mamasan saw). He then went back on stage and i left.  I do regret not offing him that night because he was offering to kiss and feign more interest in me and cuddle. The previous night he was all about the business and as soon as i got off he disappeared so it would have been fun making him work a bit more for the money.

In Goodboys and Freshboys I ask to change 1000bt notes into 100bt all the time so I can tip. I have been with so many of the lads it soon goes.
