don't worry, you not alone. I overspend EVERY trip and yet, upon returning home , I think I could be more spendy so to speak.

I was wondering what the usual max Bhat withdrawal was at the ATM.  I prefer to max withdrawals to minimize fees.  I now have a couple of ATM cards that refund fees which is even better

I have always been curious about other customers and I frequently ask my guy about his customers. He tells me which nationalities are most demanding and which are most generous in his opinion.

No surprise then that I was my usual curious self and I asked Abs Guy about the customer who offed him 5 minutes before I arrived at Freshboys on Sunday night.

Abs Guy was surprisingly open to tell me. Customer was from UK. After watching show at Freshboys, customer took Abs Guy back to hotel room to drink and chat only. Customer started smoking weed and became high. Fortunately, customer didn't pass out. He tipped Abs Guy for his time and Abs Guy left at 2:00am.

Summary of extended 4-nights weekend trip in March (Friday to Tuesday)

- Met 3 guys for first time (1 massage and 2 from bars)

- Met 3 regulars (2 massage and 1 from bar)

- Met new forum members

- Went to new club (EDT for shower show)

I cannot wait for next trip in end May.

I am going to Bangkok again specially to see the Pride Parade on Sunday 31 May. This year, the route includes Silom Road! 🥳🥳🥳

from my experience it's mostly 20000 but  SOME  Bangkok Bank machines are spiting out 25000. Warning -  when I tried to take 24900 , just to get some change , message appeared " this machine allows withdrawal of 25 banknotes only . When I  tried 21400  , it worked as intended

most likely he is so opened because he knows you for so many years.

My experience is that boys are extremely discreet when comes to other customers. Not sure if that's universal or they just think I'm not worthy such information but truth is I recall only one kind of specific comment  made to me about other customer, who by the way was known to boy as my friend. And it was " your friend likes to fuck right away". Who is fucking whom I did not ask and to this day I don't know which side of divide my friend is. Boy is vers , so it could be either

The yellow one (either Kasikorn or Krungsri, I can't remember) allows 30,000 THB to be withdrawn, however a maximum of 30 notes.

The yellow one is Bank of Ayudhya or commonly known as Krungsri Ayudhya.

The green one is Kasikorn.

Yes, that's if the bar allows them to have a choice. In some cases, they don't and the mama-san asks the guys directly what they'd like to drink, rudely by-passing the customer. I understand that the bar needs to make money too but the manner in which they do it counts.

I do that sometimes. Typically it's because I already had a great massage that day. But I don't off a guy to go back to hotel room to talk. We will chat while we go out to other bars and clubs.

Let's not be harsh on the ladies. They are out to have some time away from their husbands or boyfriends. Let them enjoy the companionship of handsome boys. And I believe the boys enjoy entertaining them judging by how they sit close to the ladies and hold their hands and hug them!

Yup, there are lots of lonely people out there and having a working boy/girl listen to them blabber on for a paid amount of time is a win-win for both parties because half the time the working boy/girl doesn't understand what the customer is saying and they aren't really paying attention during the other half. They're the best kind of "therapist" money can buy: they listen, they don't disagree/challenge you and they're gone in an hour!

while you are right , main point is that lesson. Not everybody before going to other country spends time getting acquainted with local customs. I know they should , but they simply don't. Thus may not be familiar with goings in bar and massage places and won't be until somebody tells them. I'd say , at first place, it's mamasan's job.

One doesn't need to go far to see difference. Many times I visited boys bars in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh and while my tips were always welcomed, perhaps even expected, at not time ever I felt I was pressured to provide one way it's done in , at least some, Thai bars . So person with Cambodian experience only may be one who is unwillingly  stingy in Thai bar  thinking that buying boy drink is generous enough.

I don't even start with those coming from cultures where tipping is completely foreign concept.

we even had reports earlier this year from member ( spoon ? ) who wanted  just to off guy without even entering bar 

 ( Jupiter ? ) and was told to pay equivalent of drink on top of the off fee
