While waiting for the show at Jupiter to start, I was mischievous and took a photo of my guy's palm. I uploaded it onto Chatgpt to provide a palm reading. Here's Chatgpt's response:

"I can give a light, entertainment-style palm reading based on the visible features of your hand — not a scientific assessment, just traditional palmistry interpretation.

Your photo is heavily lit in red/purple lighting, so the lines are softer and harder to see clearly, but a few things stand out:

General Hand Shape

Your palm appears relatively broad with fairly long fingers. In palmistry, this combination is often linked with:

curiosity and adaptability

analytical thinking

strong observation skills

balancing practicality with imagination

Life Line

The curved line around the base of the thumb looks fairly long and continuous. Traditionally, this suggests:

steady stamina and resilience

ability to recover from setbacks

preference for stability, even if you enjoy excitement or nightlife/social settings

A wide curve around the thumb is also associated with warmth and generosity toward people you trust.

Head Line

The center line across the palm seems slightly sloped downward rather than perfectly straight. This is often interpreted as:

intuitive thinking

creativity

emotional intelligence

tendency to think deeply about people and situations

You may rely on instinct as much as logic when making decisions.

Heart Line

The upper line beneath the fingers looks moderately curved. Palmistry would read this as:

emotionally expressive but selective

loyal once attached

values genuine connection over superficial interaction

You may appear calm outwardly while feeling things quite intensely internally.

Fingers

Your fingers appear fairly separated rather than tightly closed together. Traditionally, this points to:

independence

openness to new experiences

dislike of feeling controlled or boxed in

The ring finger also appears slightly dominant compared to the index finger, which is often linked with:

confidence in social environments

appreciation for aesthetics, entertainment, and presentation

willingness to take calculated risks

Summary

Your palm suggests a person who is:

1) curious and observant

2) independent and adaptable

3) emotionally loyal but selective

4) intuitive and thoughtful

5) social, yet quietly analytical

Traditional palmistry would describe you as someone who enjoys experiences and meeting people, while also thinking deeply about situations and relationships."

We ended up at Jupiter at a few minutes before 10pm. Our mutual friend - a Vietnamese waiter who used to work at Soi Twilight - was more than happy to escort us to a seat. There were only 3 other pairs / groups of customers. Total 10 customers. 30 models working and waiting for show to start at 10:30pm. A Cambodian I used to off is no longer working. Poppy was singing. He encouraged customers to sing with him. One Chinese customer took up Poppy's invitation and sang the chorus of a Chinese song with him. I nudged my guy and asked him if he would sing a Vietnamese song. He signalled no with a wave of his hand. More customers started streaming in towards 10:30pm. The crowd numbered at least 30 and the signal was given for the show to begin. We watched the show until midnight which included 4 catwalk on stage by the models (two in briefs underwear only). My guy normally doesn't like to watch shows at bar but he enjoyed our time at Jupiter, probably because he could chat with Vietnamese waiter friend. When the models walked past during their catwalk, we admired their tattoos. One Jupiter model had tattoo of a koi on his back similar to my guy. I also provided commentary on the Jupiter models. I told him about those who command premium rates for offs. My guy's eyes widened in surprise. I smiled and kissed him on his cheek. I pointed my finger at his chest. "I only love you," I said. We left at midnight and I tipped Vietnamese waiter 200 baht and I also tipped Poppy 200 baht.

You talked at Jupiter? How could you hear?

Yes it is possible to have a conversation at Jupiter despite the loud music. You need to sit very very close to the other person. 🤣

Yes going for Pride Parade. But not a weekend trip. 2 week holiday. Should I do trip report as a new topic or stay in this topic?

Concluding May weekend trip report

On our way back to 56 Surawong, we passed by Good Boy. I saw a familiar face seated at sofa outside the bar. He's a favourite of mine, second in my heart after my guy. I went to chat with him. I found out that he's returning to Vietnam next week. I said sorry I couldn't off him tonight. I gave him 500 baht tip and wished him well.

My guy and I spent an unforgettable wild night at 56 Surawong followed by an active morning before we went to Foodland for breakfast. I said goodbye to him after breakfast. I went back to hotel room to sleep another hour then went to Urban Thai at 10am when they opened to get foot, head and shoulder massage, then went back to hotel to check out at noon to go to the airport.

I am concluding this trip report because I am going back to Bangkok tomorrow!

Have a great time !

The reason why I am back in Bangkok in July one month after a 2-week holiday in June is because of a forum member who is in town. In fact, forum member stopped by in Singapore 2 weeks ago at start of his holiday and I met him for dinner (my treat of course!)

I enjoy hanging out with forum member. That's why I decided to go on weekend trip to meet him and visit bars together. I even chose the same hotel he's staying - Quarter Silom - so that it will be convenient for us to meet. It's my first time staying at Quarter Silom.

When I arrived at Suvarnabhumi Airport on Friday 7pm, I was greeted by an unbelievable crowd of people at immigration. It would take 1 to 2 hours. Fortunately, I could go to autogate for Hong Kong and Singapore citizens. Normally, there's hardly any queue at the 2 dedicated autogates which were next to autogates for Thai nationals. But today there was a large group of Hong Kong tourists who arrived. Instead of normal 5 minutes to process, I had to wait 15 minutes. It was still better than being stuck in a 1 hour queue. I believe the long wait is due to insufficient immigration officers (maybe a number of them are taking their annual vacation leave now during low season) and greater scrutiny and checks on arrivals.

If immigration could just use our fingerprints already on file, instead of re-doing them for the umpteenth time, that would speed things along.

A new photo each time I understand, as people's faces change, but damn, how many sets of fingerprints do you need?  The biometric chip in our passports is proof that we're not imposters.

Multiply that redundant fingerprint process hundreds of times an hour for return tourists, and the lines become painfully long at busy times.  Maybe the immigration police think we had finger transplants.

What file?  Not safe to assume that that there is a file or that they can retrieve it. There was a report a year or so back that, if I remember correctly, the system ran out of memory and all that business of pressing your fingers on that glass gadget generated no store-able record. Apparently the people at the top knew about it, but either didn't bother, didn't understand, or had no budget to purchase more memory storage.

This finger print business is a bit like the old days of arrival cards. The reason they were stopped was because no one in Immigration had time to check them. It was revealed that hundreds of thousands of them - or probably more - were stored in a warehouse - all unread!

I checked out of Quarter Silom a couple of days ago. It's my hotel of choice now as it's in a quiet location, but close to Silom venues. The gym, steam room and sauna are added bonuses. There's a good selection of food at the buffet breakfast. And I have got some incredible deals through Agoda.
