jason1975 Posted August 2 Author Posted August 2 I must say that I have been fortunate to always been assigned a room with balcony. There are some rooms without balcony. During my first stay, I had a room in Building 3. During my second stay, I asked for room in Building 1 as it is nearer to gym and pool and the obliging reception staff gave me my request! Quote

Must be your guy and forum member cameo. Thanks for compliment. I wouldn't say I enjoyed weekend trip more than 2-week holiday trip. Both were equally fun. The latter is more relaxed. No plan fixed every day. Just go with flow. But with a weekend trip, every minute counts so I plan ahead and pack as many activities that I want to do. Mental checklist. I genuinely like Music Guy and the other guys I met in 2-week holiday trip. Of course I love my guy more. Popular Post jason1975 Posted 13 hours ago Author Popular Post Posted 13 hours ago The latest weekend trip took place one week ago. 31 July to 2 August. Why another trip so soon after one in mid-July? Because another two favourite forum members are in Bangkok! Both arrived a week earlier and had one week of fun together going to bars before I met them on Friday. Immigration queues at airport on Friday evening were just as long as two weeks ago. I estimate one to two hours wait. The E-gates for Singapore and Hong Kong passports have increased from two counters to five counters! Thai nationals also use the E-gates. My plane landed at 6:45pm, I got sim card, went through E-gates and I was on airport train at 7:15pm. Would have been faster if not for delay in train arrival. After I reached Silom, I walked along Patpong 2 to Freshboy. It was drizzling. There were no customers at 8pm. The boss was standing outside bar with mamasan and waiters. I believe fewer than 5 boys inside who reported for work early. My guy had not arrived yet so I waited at bar stool outside the bar and made small talk with the staff. Suddenly, the star of their show walked out. I was surprised to see him. My guy had told me that this particular guy went back to Vietnam recently so I didn't expect to see him. His trip home was less than 10 days. He came out of the bar to lift weights. I was enjoying the sight of him exercising and suddenly my guy arrived. I passed him 1000 baht to pay off fee for 2 nights. Before we left, I opened the carton of Japanese cigarettes that I bought duty free from Singapore Airport and gave them out to anyone who smoked. My guy then carried my bag and off we went to Quarter Silom Hotel. vinapu, Ruthrieston, Travelingguy and 5 others 8 Quote

jason1975 Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago The reception staff at Quarter Silom are all so cute! I was greeted by the nerdy looking but handsome guy with black plastic glasses. He saw my guy walk in with me. My guy went to sit at the sofa while I did check in. Reception guy knew that my guy would be staying with me so he automatically provided me with 2 keycards. He didn't ask for my guy's passport to make a copy. Reception guy told me the computer system had prebooked me for a room in building 3. Very private. Side entrance via soi 6. But I didn't much care about privacy. I wanted convenience. I asked for room in building 1 as swimming pool and gym are located there on first floor. Reception guy gave me 2 options. 5th floor room with window facing swimming pool or 3rd floor room with balcony facing the other side of building. I always prefer balcony so I asked for 3rd floor room. Within minutes, my guy were inside the room. We had a 9pm dinner appointment with forum members at G's. We had half an hour and we made good use of the time in the shower together. 🥰 jimmie50, vinapu and Travelingguy 3 Quote
jason1975 Posted 12 hours ago Author Posted 12 hours ago After a fun time in shower together, my guy and I got changed. That was when I realised that my passport was not with me. I searched my bags and couldn't find them. My guy suggested that it might be at reception. Both of went down hurriedly. Reception guy saw us and smiled. He held out my passport and returned it, saying sorry he didn't return me after I checked in. He said he did call my hotel room several times but there was no answer. Yes, no answer because my guy and I were both busy in the shower! 🤣 vinapu, Travelingguy, jimmie50 and 1 other 1 3 Quote

jason1975 Posted 11 hours ago Author Posted 11 hours ago While I accept that the fault was mine for not checking that I collected my passport back from reception, the reception staff should also have made sure that they return the passport immediately after making a photocopy. Both sides were equally negligent. Thank goodness the issue was discovered quickly. Reception guy had passed my passport to another staff to make a photocopy while he processed my room check-in. And both Reception guy and I forgot about the passport. The hotel really need to look into their operating practices. I like the hotel but with a heavy heart, I must comment on service standard. Some of the staff have not been trained as well as the experienced ones. Another example I will recount is a Chinese guest coming back to reception with his keycard and luggage. He said he couldn't access the lift to the 3rd floor. His room - 310X. I can't remember the room whether it was 6, 7 or 8 so I just call it X. But clearly it was the guest's first time in hotel. He didn't realise that 3 refers to building 3 and 1 refers to 1st floor. I believe he went to lift and press 3 to go to 3rd floor. Reception staff should have explained to him more clearly. By the way, the guest's English was limited so I spoke to him in Chinese and found out his problem. I happened to be at reception when the guest came down. I cannot recall if I wrote about the wrong keycard being given to a guest in my report about my weekend trip two weeks ago. I will recount it here - a Chinese guest came back to reception to say that when he opened the door to his room, there was someone already inside. He and his travelling buddy (another male tourist from China) were shocked. The reception staff checked and realised there was a mistake. Wrong room assigned and wrong keycard given! I didn't have to help translate as the guests spoke good English. And finally on Saturday morning, on my way out of the hotel, I saw two Thai policemen standing at reception. All the reception staff were at reception. There was a small-sized Asian lady standing with the policemen and speaking to reception staff. I surmise that the Asian lady was a hotel guest and she probably called in the police to report something stolen from her hotel room. I didn't stay to witness what happened next. My conclusion is that one needs to be careful when staying at this hotel. Perhaps there are too many new staff recently hired and they are inexperienced, thus making mistakes and causing misunderstanding. Always good to check and look after one's things properly. Other than this, I like the hotel. I only hope the prices are not so high! They used to be affordable but not nowadays. jimmie50, Travelingguy and bkkmfj2648 2 1 Quote

Only post covid they lowered them for a limited time. Rates are high because there are takers not because bragging. The same I guess with 5000 boys. Recent proliferation of high end, high charge massage venues (History, Klover, Residences etc. ) seems to show that there are takers Quote

jason1975 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago After getting back my passport from Reception Guy, my guy and I went to G's for dinner gathering. The reason why I made this weekend trip was to meet esteemed forum member Mr Vinapu again. He was already seated at table outdoor. Guido's cat was on chair next to him so my guy and I sat on seats facing them. The cat was obedient and moved away just in time for forum member Spoon to join in. He was having a massage at Prime before this. I had the sausage special and my guy followed my order. Spoon and Mr Vinapu had already arrived one week ago and had been on many adventures before I joined them this weekend. And surprise surprise they visited the other bars - Tawan, Dreamboys, Good Boy, Banana, Freshboy, Moonlight, Hot Male but they have not visited Jupiter! So we were definitely going to Jupiter tonight after dinner. I asked my guy if he wanted to go for massage and wait for me but he said he would join us at Jupiter. I believe he wanted to meet his Vietnamese friend who works at Jupiter as a waiter. They go way back to the days of Soi Twilight. At Jupiter, the mamasans saw that we were a group together so instead of seating in the back row at the side, they let us have a front row L-shaped seat. Forum members could have a good frontal view of the models walking down the runway. My view was blocked by a pillar but it was ok. I had my guy next to me. Mamasans realised that we had each paid 500 baht at entrance. They asked us if we would like the 500 baht each refunded if we choose to order a bottle of whisky instead at 4000 baht. We could have unlimited mixers and could drink more. Unfortunately most of us don't drink so we passed on the offer. It was a kind and thoughtful gesture on the part of the mamasans. Tonight, PJ was singing. No longer as pretty boy and young but his voice is still captivating and he entertained the customers until the models appeared. There were not many models tonight on a Friday night - about 20 only. Most of the stars were not working tonight. But the fantastic dancer with abs and his brother were working. We asked and we finally found out that they are not brothers but they look very very alike. One is Myanmar while the other is Cambodia. Myanmar guy was the original dancer and his sexy moves and incredible body made him famous. When he went back to his home country for a while, Cambodia guy took over his dance performances. That was how customers thought that they were brothers. Halfway through the show, forum members were sitting with Jupiter models and in discussions about stamp collections. I would have a Jupiter guy seated next to me but of course I could not since my guy was present. The show was toned down and not explicit. I believe it only gets more explicit and entertaining on Saturday nights when the bar is full. Tonight was only 20% full. At close to midnight, the show had ended and we were out. I tipped Vietnamese waiter 200 baht and I also tipped his half-Thai half-Malaysian twinky waiter friend 200 baht on way out. My guy and I had dinner appointment at 2am with Vietnamese guys from Good Boy bar. I decided to go to DJ Station with my guy. It was our first time going there together as a couple! emiel1981, bkkmfj2648 and ichigo 3 Quote
jason1975 Posted 2 hours ago Author Posted 2 hours ago My guy had told me that he recently had an Asian customer take him to DJ station to drink and dance. Asian customer only paid him 2000 baht instead of minimum 2500 baht for short time. It is low season so my guy accepted the customer's offer. But all these years that I have known my guy, I never knew he could dance. So I wanted to find out what happens if I take him to DJ station. After we paid entrance fee and entered, I grabbed my guy's hand and headed to the dance floor. It was packed with gays but there were some Western ladies as well with their boyfriends. To be fair to my guy, he tried his best to get into the groove but it was obvious that dancing is not his forte. Of course I could have just hugged him while enjoying the music at the dance floor but I decided to put him out of his misery. We headed to the drinks counter and had shots - first tequila then B-52s. Then we wandered around DJ station before we found a table and seats near the ladyboy stage. I took out a mini chess set and we played chess for the next one hour and half! bkkmfj2648 and ichigo 2 Quote
