I am curious does anyone have any information on how big the market cap is for gay oriented businesses worldwide. Additionally, have there been any monopolies or major gay companies or studios with significant power. I am trying to find a pattern of gay influential companies and people that are major players in the gay oriented business sectors. Who would be Hugh Hefner's (brands of old), and Elon Musks (new innovative mogul) of the gay world be. I'm very interested if there has been anyone that's tried to to consolidate the whole gay business sectors like owning all the gay bars in Western Ohio. Thanks in advance

https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-cardinal-mccarrick-beach-house-sex-ring-suit-20200722-5n6kcz4aczbt5b2yrjuwpfkmyi-story.html ——————————————- Former Cardinal Theodore McCarrick ran a depraved sex ring of underage boys at a beach house on the Jersey Shore, a disturbing new lawsuit claims. The suit, filed by a man using the pseudonym Doe 14, claims that in 1982 and 1983, when he was as young as 14 years old, he and other victims were taken on weekend overnight trips to a Sea Girt beach house. “McCarrick assigned sleeping arrangements, choosing his victims from the boys, seminarians and clerics present at the beach house,” according to the suit fil…

Montrealer retrofits some of his dispensing machines with surgical masks. Required in indoor public spaces but some folks leave home without a supply. Obviously may as well convert condom dispensers as well.

From The Irrawaddy and Global Voices Out of work, out of options: Myanmar migrant workers in Thailand scrape by during COVID-19 Migrant workers at this construction camp work for a Chinese company but their pay has been docked and is always late. They don’t want to make any claims against their employer because they are afraid they will get fired. If they are thrown out of the job, they won’t be able to find other work and won’t be able to return home because borders are closed due to the coronavirus outbreak. Chiang Mai, Thailand, March 2020. After reading numerous news sources daily for several years I have yet to find any single site that offers a more objective and concise report than that offered by the Thai Enquirer. a publication the Foreign Correspondents Club of Thailand (FCCT). Issued Monday through Friday in a newsletter format, the report presents unbiased coverage all aspects of major national news, particularly economic, political, military and current events, in a style reminiscent of The Economist. It also provides English language versions of select articles published in Thai language media. Selecting the "HOME" tab allows readers to view some articles in a more traditional media…

Just catching a bit of the CW (Fox News) and DJT interview as clips are folded into Trevor Noah’s Daily Show. Not that Trump gets anything right, not defending him, but I note that Fox criticizes him for choosing a mortality chart that omits Russia (better) but includes Italy (worse) and Spain (worse). However, Fox pulls out their own chart to make a point. It entirely omits continental Europe and, therefore, bumps USA up in the rankings! By excluding Spain, Italy, and other European nations with high mortality rates they are doing the exact same ‘cherry-picking’ manipulative move they accuse the White House of. A smarter Trump staff would have included mor…

Are my American neighbours aware of this brilliant Georgia Tech app? It uses the same algorithm automatically that I have been utilizing manually. You can plug in the various arbitrary incremental group sizes anywhere and it provides a percentage probability of at least one infected person. As you can see, a few Florida figures are equal to the ones I calculated manually but plunked into a similar-themed Latin American thread commenced today. The app figures are also consistent with my manual calculations for Puerto Rico as a whole, though the app only provides by county. The app would collapse if it attempted to offer every group size you can enter in the algor…

From The Nation Too-tight virus policy is strangling economy, experts warn Thailand should overcome concern of a second wave of Covid-19 and instead relax restrictions on foreign investors and tourists in order to shore up its falling economy, say a prominent investor and leading economist. “We should not worry too much about the threat of a second wave of infections, since the first wave of Covid-19 is generating far fewer cases compared with other countries,” prominent local investor Niwes Hemvachiravarakorn said on Thursday. Thailand has implemented tight safety measures to combat the virus, but the Covid-19 issue has two dimensions – disease contro…

I was not planning to open a thread here at BoyToy about this topic, but the post where I said my goodbye to you has been deleted. In case you stop by here I invite you to stay, but also to read what was deleted exactly as it was written, with no editions. You have my word on that. "It has been an amazing ride. I will always be thankful to this community, especially to the many members who honored me with their friendship. I have learned and grown a lot, and I thank you. I can participate in a community with racist members who open threads like “Oh My Wakanda”. I would even defend their right to express their opinion, no matter how shameful and ignorant. If they…

The following graphic appeared in an article about medical tourism. It describes protocol for "bubble tourists" who are not referenced in the article but appear slated to begin entry in September. From The Nation Medical tourism package will go ahead, but under strict control Taweesin Visanuyothin, spokesperson for the Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), said on Thursday (July 16) that Thailand’s medical tourism and wellness programmes will go ahead despite the discovery of two Covid-19 cases this week.
