Los Angeles Times Friday, October 1, 2010; 8:50 PM SACRAMENTO, CALIF. - California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger ® signed a bill Thursday that will downgrade possession of an ounce or less of marijuana from a misdemeanor to an infraction. YAY! HOORAY! "The measure will keep most marijuana-related cases from going to court, and Schwarzenegger cited the state's budget woes for his decision." Huh? So does this now represent to us that the evil green, that of which, has always been at the core of the government's argument which has fueled and funded their war-on-drugs mantra, that pot, was the stepping stone to more enjoyable harder drugs, which would inevitably be the…

Many years before this site even opened, I almost opened the same site and had my programmers build it for me but I then met Hooboy and decided that I didn't want to open a competing site. I put the entire project on hold for many years. Going through some old disks today I found the first mockups of what this site would have looked like. I thought some of you may be interested in seeing them.

You're on death row. Your execution is happening tomorrow morning and a very compassionate judge has granted you an overnight with one escort as your last request. Who would it be? For me, it's a no brainer. It would be the now retired River of Chicago. With his boyish good looks, innocence that one doesn't expect to find in an escort, and his passion for what he does, he top my list of boys I'd want to top before I met life's cruel fate.

QANTAS is considering tapping into the booming Brazilian economy by flying either to Sao Paulo or the popular tourist destination of Rio de Janiero. Any decision by the airline to launch flights to Brazil is likely to result in it dropping services to Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires, because of insufficient traffic to maintain two routes to South America. Qantas would not comment, but insiders said it was not a surprise to hear that Brazil was high on the airline's list of possible destinations because the resource-rich economy was booming. Sao Paulo's two airports have about twice the annual passenger traffic as those in Buenos Aires. The Australia-Buenos Aires rout…

Net Neutrality Proposal Falls Apart JOELLE TESSLER | 09/29/10 09:58 PM | AP WASHINGTON — House Democrats have shelved a last-ditch effort to broker a compromise between phone, cable and Internet companies on rules that would prohibit broadband providers from blocking or degrading online traffic flowing over their networks. House Commerce Committee Chairman Henry Waxman, D-Calif., abandoned the effort late Wednesday in the face of Republican opposition to his proposed "network neutrality" rules. Those rules were intended to prevent broadband providers from becoming online gatekeepers by playing favorites with traffic. The battle over net neutrality has pitted public …

I know that we have all made a pledge of sorts to keep matters from the other site off of this one, but something recently happened that I find very hard to believe. So, if you want to know what it is, send me a private message and I will see if it is worth making a point out of it. (Note: If I do respond, it will not be on this board.)
