This lad is 20 years old and is a sweetie. I met him in Pattaya and have enjoyed getting to know him. He is not a boyfriend but a working boy in the Land of Smiles. He lost both of his parents in the Tsunami and 2 of his brothers and sisters. It is pretty sad to still see the devastating effects that this disaster has on the people here. Anyway, he spent some time at my home here and a friend of ours took some pics and they both gave me permission to use them here. Anyone coming here and wants to meet him, PM me. Oz

It emerges that the worst thing about mayonnaise in the summer is its bad press. http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/01/health/0...html?ref=health P.S. to the interested: La maionese scolpata, just-rediscovered opera by Haydn, unheard since its only performance at an Esterhazy picnic in 1770. Acclaimed at the time for the showcase aria "L'uovo non fa male" performed by the castrato Pallespente.

  5. I received this email from a reviewer and thought it would be useful to share it and the relevant part of my response with the community. I suspect that this reviewer's thoughts are shared by more than a few others. The email: Let me begin by emphasizing two things. First, I congratulate you on creating and maintaining a wonderful website. It is a real contribution to the community and a great resource, and I thank you for all of your hard work on it. Second, I fully accept that when you own the site, you get to to make the rules and I have no problem with that. So, when you declined my review of xxxxxx and gave your reasons, I was okay -- you wanted more of a pl…

A Message by George Carlin: The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possess…

What's a penis worth? $795,000, court rules Romanian doctor ordered to pay compensation after surgery-gone-wrong UCHAREST, Romania - A court has ordered a Romanian surgeon to pay $795,000 in compensation to a patient whose penis he accidentally severed during an operation. In July 2004, Dr. Naum Ciomu made a surgical error while operating on the man's testicles, severing the penis instead of making an incision to the testicle. The Bucharest Magistrates Court ruled Friday that Ciomu had been "superficial" in his approach to the operation, ordered the fine and handed Ciomu a one-year suspended prison sentence. The ruling can be appealed. A piece of muscle from the man'…

The Dangers of Auto-Replace In addition to blocking traffic from websites they don’t like, it looks like the web-geniuses behind the American Family Association’s OneNewsNow site have a few other tricks up their sleeves, such as automatically replacing any use of the word “gay†with the word “homosexual†in any of the AP stories they run … leading to instances in which proper names are reformatted to meet their ridiculous standard, such as this article about sprinter Tyson Gay winning the 100 meters at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials in which he is renamed “Tyson Homosexualâ€. http://www.rightwingwatch.org/2…

My three all time favorite comedians were Jack Benny, Rodney Dangerfield, and George Carlin. I am saddened that George Carlin has died. Now all three of my favorites are gone. _____ George Carlin Mourned as a Counterculture Hero By KEITH ST. CLAIR, Associated Press Writer Acerbic standup comedian and satirist George Carlin, whose staunch defense of free speech in his most famous routine "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television" led to a key Supreme Court ruling on obscenity, has died. Phuket - Island Paradise Phuket Phuket is an often-mispronounced jewel in South East Asia. By far the most popular island destination in the region, it offers sandy beaches, beautiful Portuguese architecture and a rich history that will delight any seasoned traveler. The island does have a rainy season and tourists are advised to avoid its charms in September and October when it is soaking wet. For the rest of the year, particularly from November through February, Phuket’s limestone cl…
