I got back kast week after a month in the USA. One of the highlights at one of TomCal's favorite lunchspots in Laguna Beach, OC. Had a nice evening with the e-boyfriend and then Monday night hit Meio Mundo. The first garoto I was with happened to be a Sauna G the night I was there. He said that they had closed in under a month. Not sure of exact amount of days in existence. Not that it really mattered. But lack of a good layout, few clients, fewer boys and the same prices as the rest surely led to failure. A good indication of its chances certainly was zip on the computerized, client billing system.

I will do my best to post a link to a map that shows the new metro stop (Estacao Fradique Coudinho). The metro stop is about three blocks from Fragata. For those who know the area, they will recognize on the map, MacDonalds as a land mark, at the corner of (cross streets) Reboucas and Henrique Schaumann. If the link does not work, I will look for something else to try. Brazil is slow. They have updated the metro map but they have not updated the "plan my trip" portion for the new metro stop. I am back in Brazil and I decided to return to Fragata tonight, as Tuesday and Sunday are generally the best nights to visit.The first thing I noticed is that the garotos that arrived ahead of me were not searched, as per the new policy announced a short while back. I am still in Brazil and decided to visit Lagoa tonight.Being a Friday night, of course, the place was crowded with lots of paying clients and lots of paying garotos. The last trip I was sitting at Meo Mundo one night and there were around 5 or 6 guys sitting at the table with me. A guy who I did not know sat down to my right. I have been taking a 120 hour intensive class in NYC for the last month and it has been a real killer. I have been here since last Friday and both Meo Mundo and Club 117 are very busy with a lot of guys working at both. Friday night was one of Meo Mundo's owners birthday party and the free food brought in a huge crowd, I was told that a record 114 "working" guys were signed in and there was at least that many other patrons! You could hardly move anywhere on the two floors...which is why I stayed in one of the rooms most of the evening! . Pointe 202 is on life support and I suspect terminal!

For those readers who have never been to a Brazilian rentboy sauna, there are a couple of things they have in common 1)they all have a front desk as you enter and give you a key with a wrist band that has your locker number on it and to which all the items are charged, rooms, food, drinks and admission. 2)they all have a bar area. 3)They all have rooms to rent with "beds" in them, usually on a different floor. A new sauna with boys opened here in Rio de Janeiro. I went to Meio Mundo last night and one of the guys there told me. Haven't been myself, so this info is only third-hand as the boy who told me had heard from someone else. 5 floors.
