As promised a couple of weeks ago, I've written up my experience at Arena.
It turns out that it’s in the same building as the place where I went to exchange money (Super Rich, which I think I’d read somewhere in these message boards usually offers the best exchange rate, and judging by the rates offered at other places as I was walking there, this seemed to be true.
To the left of Super Rich, there’s an escalator and if you go up to the third floor, you’ll know you’ve hit the right place when you see some hot guys hanging around. Today there were only three, but somehow I’d arrived at 3pm, rather than 4pm, apparently the best time to get there according to their website. Still unsure whether I was actually going to go in or not, one of the guys suggested that I had a look. So I did. After all, I thought, I could always change my mind and leave if I got cold feet at the last minute.
Thanks, DivineMadman, for your description of what happens next. Although I had a clear idea, I was completely unprepared for what did happen. I walked in and there were about twenty guys chatting and hanging out. I sat down with the manager and suddenly, with almost military precision, the guys formed a line and started marketing themselves - smiling, flexing, saying “I love you.” I had my eye on one short, muscular guy and was about to choose him when I remembered emailbroken’s recommendation - Nuk - so I asked the manager if Nuk was there. And he was, but there are two of them. One was already with a customer and the other was the guy I had in mind. So I chose him.
I asked the manager what happens next and he simply said “You go with boy”, and before I could protest that I hadn’t chosen a massage or described what I wanted, I found myself following Nuk to a room upstairs. I had a shower and lay on the massage waiting for Nuk to shower, still not feeling totally relaxed because we hadn’t agreed prices or services, so when he came out of the shower, I said I wanted a one-hour massage, no fucking, no sucking, no rimming.
For the first part of the massage, I was lying face down, and it was a very good massage - he pulled, and pushed and squeezed and rubbed in all the right places - and then I turned over onto my back for the next part. It was obvious that I was attracted to him, and he seemed to get off on being told how hot he was, flexing and telling me to touch while continuing to massage me all over until the very happy end. Afterwards, he massaged me a bit more and then he washed me in the shower.
I tipped him 1000 baht and went downstairs to pay the 590 baht for the massage. All in all, great value and if this Nuk was the same as the one you recommended, emailnbroken, thank you! Lovely body and personality :-) My only criticism is that the manager (if he was the manager) could have done more to put a newbie at ease at the beginning. (I think I told him it was my first time.)
There were several guys I could have chosen and I may go back and have a four-handed massage. Obviously I’d need to tip each guy, but would I also pay double for the massage?
If the guy had amazing rock hard pecs, that's the Nuk I was recommending

Good to know! Thanks for the additional info. I'll make sure to check these out. I've hung out at the downstairs Hot Male bar with friends, but did not notice any boys I can have over to talk to. Maybe i wasn't looking hard enough. Still, the Jomtien street spectacle is hard to replicate IMHO. I do sure wish there was more of a guide for these Thai host bars. Maybe there is one already. If anyone knows of one please let me know.
1. I agree, I avoided crowding in Pattaya, but not so when I get back to BKK. More on that in future installments.
2. Yes, this cultural thing to save face is still something I struggle with. Most of the time I don't get in trouble, but CB did have a problem with it but did not cause a scene. He will continue to have problems with my behavior in future installments, but this is more due to our complicated relationship, rather than just a "saving face" problem.
3. It is my fault that he was drunk, so yes I should've gave him the full tip anyway. But be patient! I did promise him I would see him the next day, and I do, please read future installments. I always keep my promises. Even if made when drunk.
I've had some drunk sex episodes when i was younger. Not fun mostly, and some vomit was involved definitely.
We were all stinking drunk yes, so yes judgement is circumspect at this point. As the adult in the room I should've assessed the situation better. It was fun, sure, but it was also my first time. No more second bottles next time. Again, as above, I will see TBoy again and get redemption for the drunk episode.
I said I cut some details in my experience in the interest of length of the post. Some details cut:
1. I made sure I knew asked what the basic ground rules were in the bar and I asked CB about this.
2. CB said if I bought a bottle the boys will sit with me. I told CB to tell the boys that if there are customers interested in them they should go to them. I was only interested in him and KHot, later TBoy, so they were the only ones obligated to sit with me. I didn't pick the ones who sat with me, they all just sat down. Maybe CB's doing I don't know.
3. It was a slow (Wednesday) night. Some bars did not have any customers at all from what I saw. I confirmed this with the owner of the bar when I commented on this fact. His bar had some, and the boys in my party would leave once in a while to tend to them, including the party of four farangs in the next table who only had beers, but would go back when they were done. Not every boy was on our table the whole time, except for CB, KHot for a while before he left, and KKid who wanted me. TBoy was a late entry, he came in towards the end of the first bottle. Not sure where he was before, but he stayed till we left for the condo. So it was really only KKid who I needed to give more than 100, but I gave 100 to everyone and possibly was unfair only to KKid.
4. Again, to spoil the next day's report, I meet with TBoy again for redemption. A promise is a promise.
I've been accused of being too generous with my tips before, glad I am a cheapskate this time
.I think many of us enjoy reading your report and I don't think anyone is trying to be unkind when suggesting your tips were on the frugal side. I guess these transactions are a grey area. Of course none of us wants to throw money around in a stupid way, but sometimes considering the relatively small saving, it might be more noble to err on the side of generosity.
But I have to weigh in with all of the other voices in saying I'm enjoying what you're sharing.

In terms of Arena the manager is a young guy and is very helpful. Let me recommend Nuk for your first -
It's really great when board members can pass on advice like this even if it is subjective. We maybe forget how daunting it was to visit one of these places for the first time, so I'm sure the info is of massive help to newbies as well as those who just want to get the max out of their precious time in Bangkok.

Hi guys
I asked this in the middle of another thread but it maybe makes more sense to start a separate one.
I really like Tawan and big muscled guys. I haven't been to Pattaya for years and was wondering if there is anywhere down there that has guys as big and built as Tawan.

Always amazed at how it becomes about someone's right to post.
I never said it wasn't ok to post, just suggesting that it maybe isn't the best place to get the info and maybe not a great use of this forum. Just an opinion. Not that I don't like the topic, just a practical thing.
But 8 replies and no suggestions on where to get a chair re-done should also be a strong hint.
I would imagine bars get stuff like that done all the time, so might be worth checking for word of mouth suggestions. Although I don't doubt that many here have lots of experience with leather

I should have clarified.
I am looking for a leather repair dealer that will take a gay man's chair who lives in Bangkok and repair it.
I don't think people are being harsh but this is a niche forum and if it starts to get "can anyone recommend household solutions.." posts it will die off pretty quickly. Also for the info you're looking for there must be an expat forum that would get you the info you need. Good luck with it.

Thanks Vinapu. This practical information will help a lot of people to save time. If someone can come up with a correct address too that would be awesome. For my first visit to their old location it was very helpful to have been able to check on google maps first.

Just short note since I 'm pressed for a time at the moment, yesterday pack of us 5, humble myself

It's just my opinion, but I think if the guy lets you take his picture, it's your picture. If he specifies "just for you" that's different. That said, I rarely post my pics. Nude pics are more likely to be shared without my permission or the guy's, and that doesn't suit me either.
I do have some very hot pics of very cute guys from Tawan that were taken so long ago that the guys probably have kids of their own dancing in the bars now.
I think this has been a really good discussion to have, even if I do appear to be in a minority of one.
For me it the picture would be just for you, unless you agree otherwise. Same way that if the guy took your picture you'd hope not to see it on the internet pointing out that you were a sex industry client.

It seems people, rich or poor, would give up almost anything when it comes to religion & beliefs. I, too, am surprised by the high cost of monk ordination in Thailand or Myanmar. It is very similar to the Muslim Mecca pilgrimage or the Catholic Rome pilgrimage whereby the believers had to visit the holy place at least once in their lifetime.
From what I understand of Buddhism, through reading books & attending dharma talks & courses, the believe that by going through monk ordination process will promise nirvana after life is not in line with the principles of Buddhism. Having said that, I wouldn't argue with someone of their beliefs 'cos I know it is pointless. The monk ordination process is important to the Thais and they are happy or someone else is happy to pay for it and that's all that matters.
Just for clarity, in Islam only those who can afford it are expected to make the pilgrimage to Mecca. In Catholicism, you're not expected to visit any particular place though you're free to do so.

It is probably very distressing for the original poster, but the simple fact here is that the numbers just don't add up. Some of the additional detail about the significance of becoming a monk is of course interesting, but doesn't change the fact that the numbers make no sense.
It's tough but there seems to be only one conclusion that can be drawn here.

What is your purpose of being a member here? What do you hope to gain from this forum? We all know this is a forum where members discuss and exchange information. So far, you have shown alot of criticizing and policing comments, even calling sombody "stupid". There is a freedom of speech, so if you don‘t like the posts, nobody here forces you to read it. When you start calling people "stupid", it is an insult (be careful not to cross the line) to the op. You claimed the posts violate the boys privacy, how do you know? Celebrities or porn stars, do you expect them to have their privacy from the people? On the other hands, some people may think those posts are "free advertising" which may result in bringing more incomes for the boys (due to more possible offs). Is that the end result that all moneyboys want to achieve (more money)?
Unless the matter directly related to you, don‘t think you know it all and force other to do what you think it should be. After all, they are just your own beliefs which you could choose to share or keep to yourself.
Take thing easy and enjoy life more :-)

We are all here for the same reason, but I don't believe that excuses us from trying to behave with a little sensitivity towards the guys concerned.
Genuinely, I think that if anyone is planning on outing someone in this area, they should post their own photo and real name too.
Of course they would not want to do that. Not a huge intellectual leap to understand that the guy would feel the same.
