  1. Hey @Ethanmiamithere are too many to list, but might be an interesting discussion on which ones are clean and hassle free.  I was laughing this weekend about the infamous El Poblado motel discussed under Angelo as I was walking by to get coffee. Still unconvinced that it is a love motel, but other members claimed it was found in the app MotelNow so let's go with that...

There are a couple that I know in El Poblado -- tucked away discretely in the side streets off Avenida El Poblado on Calle 14 and aother on Calle 14. There are also probably a dozen (or more) in the area around La Setenta (Cra 70) and the Giradot stadium area. Just do a Google search for "love motels" along Avenida Colombia and you will see lots of pins appear.

Feel free to DM if you want more detials. Chao.

I am not following the developments on deep, but my understanding is that it would be only for commerce, replacing U$S as reference.

Just did a long read of the coverage in El País - Argentina (with Malbec in hand) and that is correct. There are several international markets looking to move off the USD as the trade exchange benchmark and move to using a local agreed-upon exchange point,  as the cost savings are substantial for regional trade between the two countries. Argentina and Brazil are just two countries openly engages in this talk.

So Friday night at Theatron is GoGo dancers and Saturday night are strippers? What time would you recommend going?

And how about in the week?

Others I am certain will correct me, but the strippers (fully nude) at Theatrón in my experience are Saturday nights consistently. Friday used to be mixed company in the Lotus (top level) bar but that seems to have changed so maybe they are having strippers both nights. Did not go when I was in town last.

Colombians like to go out late, but bars in the city of Bogotá must close at 2am by law. So the greatest action is from 11pm onward on Fridays and Saturdays.  The club in only open Thurs - Fri - Sat and the odd Sunday when a national holiday falls on a Monday. Best check ahead -- Colombia has lots of holidays from April onward it the calendar year.

  4. Updated January 2023

The information remains the same. Only diffence - there is no onsite meeting to select the boys.  Call-text ahead to Fercho using WhatsApp. You will be asked for a description of what you are looking for...then will send a WhatsApp text message with a more pared down offering for your consideration.

You will be asked to confirm a time window and date for any potential meeting. Then as described here, you will meet your choice at the Bliss Suite hotel. Price is 160K COP for the "date" including hotel or 180K COP for delivery + transportation -- they come to you and you pay taxi/Uber both ways. Enjoy!

...guys in Colombia are quite reserved, they don't even take shirts off at dance clubs.  This is the main reason I skip Colombia's (and Mexico's) parties and head down directly to Brazil.

Mileage may vary, but I would suggest from your comment that you have never been to El Mozo (Bogotá), Industry (Medellín), Purple (Medellín), City Club (Cartagena), or Queen (Calí) where the boys most definitely love to strip down and show off the hard work put in at the local Bodytech.  There is also a very active local circuit in Bogotá and Medellín where private parties occur that get much more wild than the local clubs. For what it is worth...

He might wanna think about offering airport pickups, if he is not already doing so.

I was looking for someone to pick-up my friend from the airport and decided to go with Booking.com. Myself, I had the airport porter bring me to a taxi in front of the entrance but it still was a scary ride I must say. It all felt dodgy.

He does offer airport pick up in a private car.  Am waiting for his approval to post his contact details here.

Thanks for the info. What time would you say is the busiest at 55?

As a general rule, the sauna is reserved for early evenings and most patrons are arriving from work for a "break" before heading home. So as a general rule for Sauna 55 and all others in Colombia, you will find the busiest period to be between 4-7pm with weekends being slightly busier. From your research you have probably already noted that the saunas in Medellin generally close at 9:30/10:00pm daily.  Most are deserted by 9pm.

Only the new El Castilo stays open 24 hours on weekends as far as I know. Other members that have been in town more recently  may have other options.

This is very helpful info. When would you say are the best days to go?

I would check the website (above) for events or simply subscribe to their WhatsApp updates for listings of events plus their notifications when the club is "full" and they do not allow further admissions.

Probably the most popular event is the Semáforo event where entrants are given a color-coded wristband indicating sexual preference/role however I have seen them declare the doors closed during the Tattoo event, Interracial night, and the Early Bird event (madrugón) in the early morning. Generally the Bears night is Thursday and the Maduro night (older men) is alternate Wednesdays but they are constantly changing any schedule. So it is difficult to say what day is popular versus what event is popular.  They are good about returning messages and holding you a spot (the first time at least) so I recommend checking the calendar for an event that appeals to you.

  9. Everyone that I know in the capital is gone for the holidays, but I will ask around in the new year. Colombia is good for word-of-mouth referrals.

You might want to explore this guide to Gay Bogota published by the Alcaldia of Bogota (the mayor is a lesbian) that contains a lot of good information in English about the city.

The problem with places like Bogotá is too many choices. Whatever I pick, I will anyways suffer from FOMO.

I think I should go to Theatron on Saturdays, I guess I must go through the experience at least once.

Teatrón is THE spot on a Saturday in Bogotá and you can hang around in the central courtyard area and people watch (until that too becomes an open air dance floor as the night progresses).

  11. Gigolo first then...I doubt you will leave that early with so much on offer. Plus I love watching the second wave of punters show around 11pm, many of them still horny from Dark Club. Checking...live sex show is Saturday nights but they are now adding a new Sex Room feature some nights.

    Should be interesting...

Do you know which Mercure is best for gay district - there are a few of these hotels

You are looking for the Mercure Financial District  (Hotel Mercure Bh zona financiera) Cra. 7 #65 01, Localidad de Chapinero, Bogotá

10 minute walk downhill to the action in Chapigay.

  13. Some places to consider that may not be on your list:

Zona T (south of Parque Virrey) has become the area of choice for many locals who find Chapigay to be over the top. Suggestions include:

    1. Moza (formerly El Mozo) - largest gay dance club in the area and very popular with the best looking men in Bogotá (sorry Theatrón).

    2. Cuecha Club - another dance club, however this one has a consistent offering of working boys on site.  Open Wed - Saturday

    3. El Recreo de Adan (Orignal location on Cra 12a sounth of Clle.80) - while not actually a bar, this is a gathering spot to play board games and you can sign up to play with other groups-singles looking for additional players. The food is okay - burgers and sandwiches - but the cocktails and the crowds that gather here keep this bar popular with the locals. Always a fun way to kill a few hours and meet new people.

    ¡Hasta pronto!

So I usually use hand gestures to guys working in a sauna to indicate what I'm hoping is about to happen. Would saying "¿Puedo chuparte la polla? work okay in a Spanish speaking sauna?

They will understand. The Colombian word of choice is la verga, not la polla. You will hear the word verga used agressively in day-to-day speech in Colombia.
